"Hi Nightcloud" Crowfeather said (some moons later.)
"Hi Crowfeather!!"
Whenever he talked to Nightcloud, the whole Clan seemed to be watching. He could see that's what Nightcloud noticed.
"Crowfeather, do you love me??"
"WHAT??"
"I said, Do you-"
"Yes, I heard."
"Well, do you?"
As soon as he was about to say. 'I've known you for a little while, you think I want you as my mate?' he realized what she did. The whole clan was watching. He had to say yes.
"You've treated me like a mate the past few moons" Nightcloud continued. "And the only thing that would be holding you back is if you loved Leafpool still, which you don't, riiight? "
She crossed the line there, the whole clan started muttering. Crowfeather had to stop it.
"I…I'll tell you at sunset. Meet me by the old rabbit burrows.
Throughout the whole day, Crowfeather felt shock and discouragement.

And so forth, happening till sunset, where his destiny, unkept, laid waiting.

Crowfeather thought the whole day about this. It was a yes. Nightcloud was nice to him when he got back, and besides, he wouldn't run away like that Leafpool
He took a deep breath, knowing if he said no, the whole clan would know he loved Leafpool, which he DID NOT? Right?
"Yes"
And squeals filled the clan. Poor stupid Crowfeather. Crowfeather, my pal, my friend, if only you could read signs. Sigh. What would Leafpool think? Let's go ask her!
