Regina stopped moving. "What, like, you take me out on a date if you win the bet?"
Emma smiled and nodded. She had been thinking of doing this and her and Ruby had been planning, but she never thought it would just… Happen. Just come up in a conversation.
"Yeah, it would be fun." She bumped the woman's shoulder. Regina flushed and walked to her desk, keeping her face away from peeking eyes.
She shuffled some papers, and regained her confidence. "I don't think that would be appropriate, Miss Swan."
Emma groaned. "Ah, come on, if you win then we don't have to. This is my part of the bet. Please?"
Regina looked up at her, a small smile smeared onto her face. "I just don't think that it would be a good idea."
Sigh. There were those walls, the ones Emma always hated to see. "What are you afraid of? Why do you think it would be a good idea?"
Regina's hand snapped to the desk. "I'm not afraid!" She growled, walking back over to the woman, Emma's face inches from her own. "And I don't want to make things harder for Henry." She pushed through her gritted teeth, Emma's eyes immediately widening.
"How would us getting closer hurt him?" Emma murmured, her breath brushing softly against Regina's cheek.
"What if it ends badly?" Her voice softened. Emma's gaze grew confused.
"What do you mean, 'end badly'? It's just one date."
The brunette threw off a wry smile. "I don't know if that is exactly true."
The had both shifted forwards, and their noses were almost touching. Emma shrugged, copying Regina's smile. "I think I'm willing to take that chance."
Emma looked to Regina's slightly parted lips, then to her eyes, and leaned the fraction of the inch between them until their lips met.
Regina didn't expect the kiss, but she soon found herself melting into Emma's arms, which had snaked around her body. The younger woman's lips were surprisingly soft, and it didn't take long for their tongue's to meet.
Emma pulled back, pressing her forehead to Regina's and smiling. "So, do we really need to use the excuse of a bet to go out?"
"I think that a date could be arranged."
