A/N: I just remembered that this is the first crossover of its kind. Cheerio.

Hope no one is offended, but I'll be using the Japanese names for this story. It's the way I read the manga, so if that causes any confusion, then you're out of luck.

Plus, disclaimer: I don't own Game of Thrones or Kingdom.

And with all that said, I hope you enjoy.

Chapter 1: New Beginning

It was a while before he managed to stand. The familiar weight of his armor around his shoulders seemed heavier than he remembered.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of laying there, he managed to raise himself to one knee.

"Damn," Shin muttered. "My head is killing me."

For a while, he simply knelt and pressed his hands to his temples, trying to keep from retching. It felt like someone was trying to drive icy needles into his body. After a while, the pain began to fade, though the odd prickling sensations in his body did not.

He opened his eyes, slowly at first, then more quickly as he got used to feeling so strange.

And the first things he saw in this new life were some of the last he'd seen in his old one.

A familiar shield, glaive and sword.

'Gift upon gift. Be thankful, Shin. Not many receive such consideration.'

"...Now I'm hearing voices."

'And talking to yourself.'

"Ah, shut up," he growled, stepping forward and taking hold of his weapons.

In that instant, he noticed several things that were wrong.

The first was his hands.

"Why are my hands smaller?" he thought, wary all of a sudden. Whatever was happening was beginning to step far outside his comfort zone.

Even more than coming back to life, which was saying something.

"The ground is closer than I remember. My hands are smaller than I remember."

Grabbing the shield from its place stuck in the ground, he used an edge of his clothes to wipe the dirt from the surface.

And as he stared down at the reflective shield, he finally got a good look at himself.

And nearly fell over.

"I'm… younger!?"

And indeed, the face that stared back at him was not the one he'd grown used to seeing. Scars that he remembered receiving were now gone. Gray hairs he'd remembered developing were no longer there.

The shield dropped from his suddenly shaking hands as he sat down heavily.

"What the hell is happening to me?" Shin muttered aloud.

'There is someone here who needs your help. A young girl is stepping into a role that she is not prepared for, in a world that is rotting with cruelty and madness. Had we not acted, her defeat would have been practically ensured. This is why we have brought you here, and given you the knowledge you need. She needs your support. She needs your help. This is your second chance, Great General Shin. Do not fail.'

And then there was silence.

"Well that was helpful," he growled, collecting his weapons. "Bastards."

Shin stood up and looked around. "Could there be a less haphazard introduction?"

Hope you all get the reference. (OPM ftw)

Alright, this chapter has taken way longer than it should have, so I eventually decided to just cut it down and get something out.

And just in case anyone is confused about Shin's age, he's around fifteen at the moment. I'm honestly not sure when he was that age in the manga, but I think it might have been during his first battle with Renpa and Rinko. Dunno, just guessing.

More'll come soon. See ya later.
