Chapter 2: The Surprise

The blonde celestial mage who was in her ninth month of her pregnancy, stood up earlier than used to be because she heard her alarm rang and woke up from that sound.

"Natsu," she mumbled "turn that off." Realizing that nothing happened she decided to do it herself. It was a Sunday full of sunshine. It was actually 8 o'clock when the alarm started to rang. She blinked her eyes in confusion.

Is there something to do today? Working? Don't be kidding Lucy, you're pregnant. There's no way you're going to work anything but cooking and staying at home, she thought while turning off the alarm. She was now sitting onto the bed looking around for her husband who wasn't in their bedroom.

"Natsu?" she asked out loud, missing the male who was supposed to lay onto the other side of the bed. Lucy stood up and slowly made her way towards the kitchen.

Maybe he got hungry?

"Natsu?" The kitchen was empty and the house was silent.

"Nashi?" The blonde called for her daughter and walked into her room which was as empty as the rest of the house. Natsu was missing as well as Nashi was. Not even Happy was here. And Natsu always was worried about his wife and told Happy to watch over her.

"Where could they be at a Sunday morning at 8 o'clock?" Lucy mumbled to herself while her brown eyes traveled back to the alarm beside the king sized bed. She caught a sheet laying onto the nightstand and when she got closer she saw a silver key laying there too, shining from the sun. Heading towards the white sheet of paper she yawned. The blonde beauty took it into her soft hands and read the lines which she knew were from her dear husband.

Dear Lucy,

I wish you, first of all a great morning full of happiness and sunshine's. I too doesn't wanted to wake you up in the first place. You slept so peacefully. I set the alarm to 8 o'clock to wake you up. When you wake up and search for us, you will recognize we're not there and then you'll find this letter soon laying onto the nightstand.

Honey, you have to do something for me.

I want you to wear something that's super comfy and fluffy, because of your grown belly you know. Take some boots and your bag maybe with you (because woman are used to bring a bag around all the time).

And then I want you to come to the wooden house we, Happy and me, used to live before we moved into the house together. We'll wait there for you, with Nashi of course. I just decided to show you something there. So make sure to come!

Before I forget there's a silver key to the house laying beside my letter which you will hold in your hands while reading. Make sure you don't forget it somewhere.

"Tch who does he think he is, leaving his pregnant wife at home all alone?" Lucy said aloud. Grabbing both, the letter and the key, she put it into her brown bag and went to the bathroom to take a short shower. Then with the towel wrapped around her body, she went to her closet back into the bedroom to put some clothes on.

The young mother grabbed her favorite gray short which was totally stretchy. Looking for a comfortable shirt, Lucy decided to take a light pink one with was stretchy too. She grabbed her pink tie to tie her hair in front of the mirror who was hanging in the hallway. Nodding to herself through the mirror she grabbed her bag and her black boots and headed outside. The female locked the door behind her and faced the sun. The blonde didn't see a cloud and smiled to herself. When she started walking into the direction where Natsu's cottage was used to stand, she could feel how the sunlight was warming her up from inside. Step by step she came nearer the end of Magnolia. The celestial mage was enjoying the weather, the birds flying around and chirping from one to another.

"Levy would love this", she thought smiling while watching the birds. She didn't saw her bookworm for so long.

Because her stupid husband who she loved endlessly decided to not let her go outside. "It's better and safer for pregnant people to stay home," he said. But isn't it ironic that her husband told her to stay home, but now he wants the opposite?

Lucy recognized the streets of Magnolia ended here and she was on a way full of earth.

"Only some more steps," she sighed. She would complain later by her dear husband to let her go this route. The pregnant beauty walked down the road and her eyes immediately caught the wooden fabric. The tree who was half inside half outside the house made everything look amazing. Lucy now was standing in front of the little house as she began to search for the key into her bag. Finding the silver shining key, she put it out from her bag to put it into the keyhole and turned it to the right side to unbar it. With a 'clack' right after the young mother turned the key to the right, the lock opened without any problems. The celestial mage took the wooden knob into her hands and opened the door.

Stepping inside, she couldn't see anything because of the dark. When she found the switch to run the light on, she clicked it with her trigger finger and the room immediately shines in a bright light. Turning away from the switch, she gasped and her eyes widen in surprise.

"Surprise!" Every member from her beloved guild was standing inside the house, smiling at the pregnant lady. The blonde blinked when Mira took a photo of her as soon as she turned the light on.

"W-What are you all doing here?" Surprised she looked at all the familiar faces in front of her eyes, locking eyes with the raven haired male who spoke up first.

"It's a party for you because we all haven't seen you for so long," Gray explained.

"Gray-sama! Your clothes!" As soon as Juvia said that, everyone looked at the ice mage who lost his clothes except the boxers he wore.
"Shit, again?!" He shouted and went to search for his clothes.

Sighting deeply she gasped when she heard her favorite bookworm call her name.

"Lu-chan!" The bluenette threw her arms around the blonde who did the same in response.

"Levy-chan!" The women smiled both happily.

"Seems like bunny girl got a party"

"There are even kiwis!" Pantherlily said happily while walking to the table to grab some kiwis.

"I'm so excited and nervous! Are you too Charle?"

"Hmpf, it's just a normal party"

"Organizing a party for a friend is called being a man!"

"Geez, there are women too you know?!"

"Calm down Elf-niichan."

"WHERE'S the sake?! Master, let's make a drink contest!"

"Stupid brats," Markarov sighted in frustration.

"Lucy" Turning around Lucy faced the red haired beauty who belonged the voice to.

"Erza!" The celestial mage let go of the bookworm and swung her arms around the S-Class mage instead who did the same.

"It was all Natsu's idea," she said satisfied.

"Natsu?" Letting go of Erza, Lucy searched for her said husband.

The silver haired female noticed the pregnant lady was looking for the fire dragon slayer. "Natsu's out. He said there's something important he need to do," Mirajane said nice as always.

Nodding towards the satan-soul mage they decided to chat a bit and went over to some table. It soon became loud and everyone in the house was enjoying the party. Then Gray walked towards Lucy.

"We have a little present for you," he said.

"P-Present?" The blonde asked in confusion and looked at Mirajane who nodded.
We hope you'll like it" Wendy said coming from the left side with Charle flying on her side.

Mirajane then took something out from the bag which was behind her and took Lucy's left hand to place something into her palm. The blonde blinked a few times. She then looked at the square thin photos in her palm and her eyes brown orbs widened in disbelieve.

She was now holding stroking over the photos carefully and looked at them.

The celestial mage caught a funny photo where she was with her girls at the beach. Onto the photo she blushed because Cana behind her, was squeezing her breasts. The red haired beauty which was Erza, was brushing her teeth.

The next photo she held into her hands were in winter and christmas was near. She was cooking cookies with the Strauss family. She held a cookie into her hand winking towards Lisanna and Mirajane who both smiled. Elfman to her right side was excited to eat the cookies.

Onto the next one she was talking to Gray. The blonde laughed nervously when she saw Juvia in the background jealous probably murmuring "love rival".

Her brown orbs traveled to the next photo and her eyes went wide when she saw her beloved celestial spirit keys.

There was even one photo where she was in the celestial world, holding Plue happily towards her chest. Virgo and Loke were behind her and she was wearing the blue celestial dress which allowed her to enter the world of the celestial world.

The blonde blushed when she saw the next one. It was her wearing the red bunny costume for the first time with Levy-chan, Pantherlily and Gajeel right in front of her. It was the day when Gajeel decided to call her 'bunny girl'.

The pregnant lade trailed off and searched for the black haired male who loved playing with his guitar and singing his 'shubidouba' song. Gajeel recognized the blonde's gaze and asked "what do you want, bunny girl?" There was it again. The nickname he gave her ever since she wore that costume the day back.

"N-Nothing" she stuttered "and call me by my name!" she added and turned back to the photos into her hands.

Lucy was surprised when she looked at the next photo but remembered it too of course. She was with the Thunder God Tribe around the city, wearing Laxus' black coat. Evergreen and Freed to her left while Bixslow was to her right side. Their blonde haired leader was behind them and walked back to the guild and waved to them but on this photo, you could only see his the back, wearing a black shirt and his favorite red jean. But Lucy could see Laxus' muscles through his shirt.

Lucy loved the next photo she looked at. She was holding Asuka into her arms and her parents Bisca and Alzack were standing beside her while Romeo was in the front, grinning like Natsu. She laughed while looking at Romeo who always reminded her of Natsu.

On the next one she was only with her master Makarov. There was tea standing onto the table behind them and the blonde remembered she helped him with something.

And then she hold the last photo into her hands where she was with Happy in the front, and Natsu behind them with his toothy-grin. But you could only see Lucy's right and Happy's left eye.

She held the present to her chest happily and her smile reached her heart.

"I love it, thank you guys" Lucy said with watery eyes. She blinked and a tear of happiness streamed down her pink cheek.

The door cracked open and everyone stopped in their spot to look at three figures who were standing - one flying - in the doorframe.

"We're here," Lucy's husband shouted with his toothy grin on his face.

"Aye Sir!" Happy shouted.

"Mama" the third voice called out and ran towards the blonde.

"Hello, my little princess" the mother said after picking up the pinkette and placed her onto her lap.

"Hey Luce," Natsu said and walked towards his wife. He bent down to kiss her on her cherry lips.

"Hey Natsu, what took you so long?" The celestial mage asked when they separated from each other.

"Bought some balloons," he answered and pointed at the blue flying cat behind them who held a bunch of balloons in his paws. The feline fixed them everywhere in the room and it immediately looked like a party room.

But the party atmosphere died as soon as Lucy stood up to go to the toilet. On the way there she fell on her knees and held her belly.

"Lucy!" Natsu shouted right beside with worried eyes when he knelt down.

"Wait, I can help," Wendy said as she ran to the other side of the female.

"I-I think our boy wants to attend the party too" Lucy stuttered trying to smile.

"Everyone! get out of here now. Lucy needs some fresh air!" Mira shouted and almost every member get out of the house. The only one who were with Lucy were Wendy to help her with her magic, Mirajane to keep everything settled, Natsu because he was her husband and was worried, then Erza who helped Mira to place her down on Natsu's bed and Happy and Charle. Everything was prepared for the soon new born child. There was only one thing that Lucy needed to do.

"Push Lucy! You have to push!"

"I know! It's not like it's the first time!" The said female shouted back, sweating everywhere.

The still pregnant lady pushed what seemed an eternity for her until the boy was born and and in Natsu's hand. Mira and Erza carefully cut the umbilical cord and washed the boy in hot water and gave him some shirt from Natsu he still has in this house before placing the boy back into Natsus arms. The happy father placed a kiss on Lucy's forehead and put his scarf around the baby. Then Lucy took the boy into her arms too. Some minutes flew by and Lucy gave the boy into Mira's and Erza's care. When Lucy got enough strength to stand up, she headed towards the bathroom to take a hot shower what took her fifteen minutes. Putting on Natsu's shirt she hushed back to the little group. But as soon as Lucy opened the door of the bathroom she saw that the members were already inside, looking at the new born baby. She walked over to the guild when Wendy ran to her side.

"The boy is really cute," she said and Lucy nodded smiling. "Do you two know a name already?" The sky dragon slayer asked the celestial mage curious.

Lucy glanced over to Natsu who nodded and grinned. "Yeah," she said. Natsu came to them and they both said the name in unison.

"Ryu."

"It means dragon," Natsu explained and everyone who listened was nodding. Happy flew towards Lucy and laughed.

"Lucy did you see the new photo of you?" The blue cat hold his mouth with his paws trying not to laugh.

"Ehh? Why do you ask?"

"Because someone made a photo while you were pushing!" Her face went red.

"B-But who-" she cut off and her eyes widened. She stomped towards the crowd ignoring the 'how are you's ' and looked at the person who turned around to look at the mother of two kids happily.

"Mira! Why did you make that embarrassing photo?!" Lucy shouted angrily and looked at the photo the silver haired girl held in her hands. She snapped the photo out of the beauty's hands to look at it. Her head got even redder while Mira giggled.

"I couldn't let the chance flew by," she explained.

"You sure are a demon!" The celestial mage shouted at the model in front of her.

The photos she received the day Ryu was born, she gave into her book the next day. Lucy even put the embarrassing photo in the book but she always blushed while looking at it. When the little fight with Mira was over and Lucy got tired of shouting at the silver haired beauty, they took a photo with everyone from the guild on the photo too. Lucy carefully put the memory into her book, smiling brightly.
