A short girl in a Chopper cosplay came through the crowd, animes parting like the Red Sea.

She blinked. "Were you…looking for me?" she asked, smiling shyly.

Eric could barely handle the kawaii desu that was radiating from this girl. "Yes, you baka," he said, love in his voice.

Her face turned comically red. "You can't call me baka, you…baka!"

From the crowd, Stephen elbowed Beth conspiratorially. "Ah, a tsundere."

She turned on her heel and ran. Eric was left standing in a circle of cosplayers.

He looked around. "Well, this is the worst day of my life," Eric said.

Everyone was silent for a moment; then, a mysterious person stepped forward. He cunningly covered his face with his Otakon Kyubey mask.

"Would you like to make a contract with me? I can help you win her heart."

"Josh?" Eric asked.

The man coughed. "No, I'm Kyubey. Look. Ears."

"No, I'm pretty sure you're Josh."

There was another awkward silence.

Then, Eric stepped forward. "If that's what it takes to win back my Chopper's heart, so be it. I'll contract with you."

The man smiled and Eric pitched backwards. A small egg-gem floated out of his chest. It glowed green. Seconds later, Eric was thrown to the ground. He stood up, shaky, and marvelled at his satiny green skirt. Eric's face set.

"Time to win back my true love!"

The entire crowd trailed Eric as he flew towards where he innately knew his Chopper would be.

She was in a corner, crying. Eric knelt down and wiped her face of tears with his green silk sleeve.

"It's okay. I'm here now."

She flung herself into his arms, still sobbing. "You're still…a baka, but now I …inexplicably love you."

The man in the Kyubey mask lurked, smirking.

Eric picked her up in his arms. She laughed. "Let's go fight some witches, baby! But first," he said to the crowd. Eric leaned down and whispered in the girl's ear.

"SHAKE THAT BISCUIT, BABY!" he bellowed, and they danced through the crowd, out of the Convention, Bollywood style. Well, sort of. Lots of butts were involved.

As he and his love exited the automatic doors, Eric took her hand, and together, they backflipped into the sunset.

THE END

…or is it?
