DISCLAIMER: I DON'T OWN NARUTO!
After Sasuke had left Hinata cried. She cried out of frustration. She loved Sasuke more than anything, but she could not bear the guilt she felt knowing she was destroying a family. Hinata remembered the first time Sasuke had started the affair with her.
FLASHBACK
Hinata had just returned from a four-year peace mission to negotiate treaties with the Villages Hidden in the Mist and Sand. Hinata had finished her mission with little to no complications. She was walking through the front gate of Konoha and headed towards the Hokage Tower. Through the crowded market plaza Hinata's eyes caught the sight of pink hair and emerald eyes. Sakura was standing with Sasuke picking out groceries for the week, but what shocked Hinata the most was the matching rings on the ring fingers. Upon closer inspection Hinata noticed the swollen stomach Sakura had. She wore the Uchiha emblem and colors with pride. Sakura had caught Hinata staring and smiled brightly.
"Konnichiwa Hinata-chan! It's been so long since I last saw you," Sakura exclaimed while hugging the dazed kunoichi. "How have you been? Did you just get back into the village?"
Hinata snapped out of her daze to answer Sakura. "Hello Sakura-chan. I have been well and yes I just returned a few minutes ago. It has been such a long time since I have been in the village. Almost four years I believe and I see you are doing well."
"Yes I am. I'm happily married to Sasuke-kun just like I have always dreamed of," Sakura said. The smile on her face and the light in her eyes proved her happiness.
"How far along are you Sakura-chan?" Hinata inquired.
"Nine months. Any day now the little one will come and with three kids all under the age of five will surely keep me very busy, but I can't wait," Sakura proclaimed.
"It seems a lot has happened in the last four years. How have you been Sasuke?" Hinata asked directing her attention to the stoic Uchiha.
"Hn..."
"Don't mind him Hinata-chan. Sasuke is just grumpy from the lack of sleep."
"It's okay Sakura-chan. He is just happy to see me. I see you are both doing well and are quite busy. Besides I have to bring my report to the Hokage."
"Let me go with you. I have to pick up our children from Naruto."
"Ah...Yes I did hear that Naruto-kun became Hokage, but I am shocked that Sasuke would allow Naruto-kun to watch his children."
"Well it took some convincing, but it is easier to go shopping without having to watch the kids. Let's go! You don't want to make Naruto wait too long," Sakura said while pulling Hinata along. "Sasuke you can finish the shopping while I pick up the kids. I'll meet you at the compound."
AT THE HOKAGE TOWER
"Naruto how are my babies?" Sakura asked while bursting into the office. "Guess who I found on the way here."
"Sakura-chan take them back. Shiro has gotten into everything and Kenta has not stopped crying since you left. I couldn't get anything done and who did you find?" Naruto inquired.
When Hinata walked through the door she giggled at the sight before her. A little boy, whom she assumed was Shiro, was climbing all over Naruto and a toddler on the desk crying was Kenta. Once Naruto finally got Shiro to stop climbing on him Naruto's mouth gaped open.
"Hinata-chan!" Naruto screamed as he leaped over the desk to hug her. "I can't believe it is you. I couldn't believe Obaa-chan sent you on a mission that was so long. I'm so glad to see you again." Naruto blushed while scratching the back of his head.
"Arigatou Hokage-sama. I have come to give my report," Hinata stated.
"No need to be so formal Hinata-chan."
"Well I guess I'll be going now. Bye Hinata-chan, Naruto," Sakura said while taking the two boys with her.
"Naruto-kun here is my report. Please I wish to go home and see my family."
"But...okay Hinata-chan I understand. You have been gone for four years. They must have missed you," Naruto said glumly and his expression turned from a happy one to a sad one. "I have missed you. Let's catch up once you have rested, okay?"
Hinata almost turned him down, but the hope in his eyes made her agree. "Okay Naruto-kun. Maybe sometime this week."
Hinata was walking out of the Hokage Tower when all of a sudden she was pulled into an alleyway. When Hinata saw who it was she automatically relaxed.
"Hello Sasuke. What can I do for you?" Hinata was pushed against the wall with Sasuke's face a short distance away from her own. Both of his arms were placed on either side of her head.
"Why did you take so long?"
"My mission was extended and I couldn't say no. When did you get married?"
"When I found out Sakura was pregnant with Shiro. It was a one night stand."
"You could have waited for me, but you didn't and now your unavailable," Hinata whimpered with tears in her eyes. "You betrayed me."
"She means nothing to me. I only love you."
"Your married."
"What's your point?" Sasuke leaned in and kissed Hinata, but it was no regular kiss like he gave Sakura. This kiss contained four years of passion and love that Sasuke did not get to express. "Let's get reacquinted with each other."
"Sakura is expecting you."
"She can wait."
END FLASHBACK
The memory brought more tears to her eyes. 'I have had enough of these stupid tears. It's time to end these feelings for Sasuke. He will never leave Sakura.' Hinata stood up from her bed and headed into the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were red and puffy from the crying. She had a hickey on her neck from the night before and her lips were swollen from kissing Sasuke. 'Pathetic.' Hinata felt ashamed to be claimed by a married man. Hinata stripped herself of her clothes and hopped in the shower. She spent fifteen minutes under the hot water. When she felt clean Hinata stepped out of the shower. She wrapped a towel around her body and picked up the dirty clothes off the floor. She walked to her room and deposited the pile of clothes into the hamper. Hinata got dressed fairly quickly and made the bed that was once warm, but now seemed cold.
GRRR
Hinata touched her stomach. 'Guess I'm hungry.' Hinata made herself something to eat. Hinata finished her meal and was cleaning up when... KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK ... Hinata walked to the door and opened it. To her surprise it was Sasuke with his three kids and bags.
"Come on in."
Sasuke walked in and dropped the bags to the floor. The two boys walked in and sat on the couch while Sasuke put down the little girl.
Hinata looked at the sad group. Sasuke was sitting on the couch with the two boys while trying to keep the little girl from wandering around. Hinata took a good look at the each of the children starting with the eldest son, Shiro. Shiro was four years old and tall for his age. He looked like a scared, miniature Sasuke with raven hair and black eyes. His cheek was red and he had tears in his eyes. Hinata glanced at the next son, Kenta. Kenta was two and a half with raven hair and green eyes. Shiro was normally the stoic one and hiding his emotions like his father and Kenta was bolder and friendlier like his mother. The last child Hinata looked at resembled Sakura the most. Ayaka was no more than ten months old and had never left her mother's side for more than a few hours. She had maroon hair in pigtails and black eyes.
"Dada, where Mama?" Ayaka asked.
Sasuke stiffened. "Mama is gone. She is very bad," Sasuke stated. Ayaka started forming tears in her eyes.
"Sasuke! I think now is not the time to make another one of your children cry. Shiro come with me," Hinata said while holding out her hand."
Shiro got up and grabbed Hinata's hand. "Where are we going Hina-chan?" Shiro questioned. He was comfortable with Hinata because in the last year Hinata had become very close with the Uchiha family by babysitting and helping Sakura.
"I'm going to put some healing cream on your cheek. We don't want your mommy to see you like this," Hinata said with a smile.
"Mommy won't care. She was the one who hit me," Shiro cried. "She doesn't love me anymore. All she does is yell and hit me."
Hinata pulled Shiro into a hug. "It's ok Shiro. I'm here for you and so is your father," Hinata exclaimed. Hinata let go of Shiro and out the cream on his cheek. "No more tears Shiro. Everything will be fine now."
"I wish you were my mommy Hina-chan."
"Don't say that Shiro. Your mommy loves..."
"No she doesn't! She only likes Kenta and Ayaka. Only Papa and you are nice to me," Shiro interrupted.
"Come on Shiro let's go back to your daddy."
Shiro and Hinata went back into the living room. In the corner a playpen was set up that held a sleeping Ayaka. On the couch Sasuke was reading a story to Kenta while the little boy dozed off. Shiro went to join Kenta and Sasuke on the couch. Hinata sat down in an armchair and listened to Sasuke's story. When he finished he tucked a blanket around Kenta and Shiro.
"Sasuke we need to talk," Hinata exclaimed. "Come to my room."
Sasuke followed Hinata and began to speak. "She was beating him to activate the sharingan. I was a fool not notice, but I left her and I'm not leaving my children with her. Hinata, I love you and you told me to leave Sakura. I did as you asked now keep your end of the deal."
"She won't let you and the kids go so easily," Hinata said solemnly. She turned to look out the window. The clouds in the sky showed a storm on the horizon.
"I'm not letting you go. Tomorrow I'm going to Naruto for a divorce and full custody, but I can't do it alone. You are close to the kids and I know you love me. Why not become my wife?" Sasuke asked.
Hinata turned toward Sasuke with joyful tears in her eyes. "Yes Sasuke I will marry you, but first you must deal with the situation at hand first."
"I told her she had to move out, but for a few days we need to stay here."
"That's fine. You need your rest. Shall we go to sleep?" Hinata suggested. Both Hinata and Sasuke hopped into bed and fell asleep while the storm outside got worse.
2:30 AM
Shiro tossed and turned all night. It was one nightmare after another and they were all about his mother. He was shaken awake and saw green eyes. Shiro started to push away the person with green eyes. "No! Don't hurt me!" Shiro cried.
"I'm not gonna hurt you Nii-san," Kenta spoke. "Where is daddy?"
Hinata came into the living room. "What are you two doing up?" she asked.
"Onii-san was having a bad dream. Hina-chan where is daddy?" Kenta questioned.
Hinata sat Kenta on her lap and pulled Shiro into a side hug. "Daddy is in my room sleeping," Hinata exclaimed.
"Hina-chan I'm too scared to sleep," Shiro cried.
"It's ok Shiro. You can come sleep with us. Kenta lay back down," Hinata said.
"NO! I wanna go with Onii-san and daddy!" Kenta screamed.
"Okay, but be quiet Kenta," Hinata whispered. "Ayaka is still sleeping."
Hinata brought the two boys into her room. Kenta ran to the side Sasuke was on while Shiro clung to Hinata. When in bed Kenta climbed onto Sasuke's chest and fell right asleep. Shiro cuddled up to Hinata and she held him tight.
"Who said you were allowed to hold another man?" Sasuke spoke.
"He is afraid and besides he is just a kid," Hinata whispered.
"Then why is Kenta sleeping on top of me?"
"He would not quiet down until I said yes."
"You're a pushover," Sasuke said with a smirk.
"Don't be mean. Go back to sleep," Hinata scolded while falling asleep. "You have a long day tomorrow."
IN THE UCHIHA COMPOUND
Every room was trashed and destroyed. There were holes in the walls and broken glass on the floor. The furniture was in pieces and anything that was still intact was turned over. In the main bedroom Sakura was smashing anything she could.
"This is not the end!"
