Chapter 2

Hey guys! Sorry about the wait! I am trying to post a chapter every couple of days! So expect Chapter 3 on Wednesday or Thursday!

Only to be kicked in the stomach by one of the Mountain men. Hard.

She fell to the ground only to get kicked again, this time in the back. She had to gain herself, block out the pain. She saw him getting ready to kick her gain this time in her face. She grabbed his foot and pulled it out from under him. He falls hard on his back. Clarke staggered to a sitting position when he all of a sudden sat up and tackled her, knife in hand.

She felt the knife dig into her side, and she wailed in pain. Biting her lip to muffle her cry, she saw him raise his knife, pointing straight for her throat she gasped a breath, her last breath.

Then his head seemed to snap forward and blood was all over his face. He was shot. Before Clarke could comprehend what happened the guard fell on top of her. She was trying to push him off when pain shot up her side, she gasped. Then he was off. She looked up and saw Bellamy panting and searching her eyes.

Both of their eyes were filled with pain and feeling. She struggled to get up, but finally did with the help of Bellamy's solid arm.

"Are you ok?" He managed to say through the chaos. Clarke nodded. And then she saw it. Blood. Blood all over Bellamy, seeping through his shirt. She looked at him in horror.

"Bellamy? What happened!?"

"I will explain later princess but we have to get out of here."

There was what looked like fear in Bellamy's eyes, and Clarke started limping to the stairs. And that was when she noticed the blood all over her too. And not all of it was hers.

They made it down the few flights of stairs, to the door where Clarke and the grounders poured in from. When they reached the grass Bellamy collapsed in on Clarke and he fell to the ground.

"Bellamy we have to get up! There is an infirmary at the Ark, they will fix us up and then we will go to the ocean with the rest of the 100." She sounded like she was pleading. He was out cold, Clarke could tell it was from blood loss, and she noticed she was getting sleepy and dizzy as well. It was getting really hard to sit up straight, and before she knew it she collapsed on the ground next to him.

''I love you Bellamy." Was the last thing she said, and then everything went black.

She woke up at the ark in her tent. She was all patched up. Her side still hurt like a bitch but not as bad as before. She pulled up her clean shirt. She had a huge bruise on her stomach and she could feel the soreness on her back of another. Yesterday night was a painful memory. Seeing all the blood, the dead bodies. And seeing Bellamy covered in blood and—

"Oh my god, Bellamy." It came out as a whisper and she was out of her bed and out her tent in seconds. Only to be welcomed by the pain in her side. She leaned against a tree and took a few deep breathes before Jasper ran up to her.

"Clarke! Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine Jasper. Why are you still here, I thought the rest of the 100 where suppose to be on their way to the ocean by now?"

"Some of us offered to stay back and help pack things up, and help with the wounded from the battle." Jasper smiled, but it was a smile of sympathy.

"Good, it looks like the Ark can use some extra hands." Then Clarke remembered, "Oh and where is Bellamy?"

"He is in the infirmary still, he can't get up or anything yet, plus he hasn't really talked to anyone except for Octavia."

Clarke nodded and started to walk towards the infirmary, ''Thanks Jasper, I will talk to you later. Just don't leave before we talk."

Jasper gave her a thumbs up and warm smile before walking back to his work.

When Clarke entered Bellamy's room in the infirmary, he was sound asleep. Clarke looked around the room, and there was no sign of Octavia. Good. She didn't want Octavia to act all mad at her in front of Bellamy.

She sat down next to him with a cold rag and gently rubbed it along his face. She faintly remembers telling him that she loved him when they escaped Mt. Weather, but he was passed out and probably never heard her. She pushed some curls off of his forehead and rubbed her rag in that area, barely brushing the skin. While she was looking at him, she noticed he wasn't wearing a t-shirt. She let her eyes drift to his biceps and curves of his shoulders. She traced her finger on his shoulder. Swiping them across all of his new scars, the scars she put there. If she didn't send him to Mt. Weather then this wouldn't have happened to him.

Then he shifted under her and she noticed he was watching her this whole time. She felt a blush creep up her cheeks.

"Like what you see princess?" Ugh that smirk. Bellamys special smirk that always got under her skin. He seemed to hold the world in that smirk. '

"In your dreams" She scolded trying to bit back her smile.

"Speaking of my dreams, I had this weird dream that before I was unconscious I heard you talking about the Ark and the Oceans and stuff." Clarke froze. Did he hear the other part to? She looked at Bellamy; he wasn't even trying to hide his smile.

"Oh yeah?" Clarke tried to keep her voice steady, "I'm surprised you heard it, I thought you were out cold."

"Yeah. And I heard something else too, I could have just dreamt it though." Bellamy was trying to suppress his smile now, noticing Clarkes strained voice.

"Oh and what is that?" She couldn't look at him, scared to know what he was going to say. She wasn't ready for this.

"I thought I heard you say you loved me." Bellamy's face and voice became all of a sudden serious. Clarke's heart skipped a beat. "Did you say that Clarke or did I dream that?"

"Bellamy! Are you serious? Why on earth would I say that? We are leader partners, maybe even friends, but nothing more. And we never will be." That sounded a little colder then she intended. But she felt guilty once she watched his face fall and hurt crossed his face but it was gone in a second.

"That's what I thought too princess." He was looking down at his sheets, playing with his thumbs.

"I mean come on, like you would even want to be more anyways, like you would want me to love you." Now she was rambling but her words seemed to get his attention, but she could feel the fire inside her growing. "Like you could really care about the girl who sent you to die and put scars all over you. Like you should even forgive a girl who did that to you." Now she wasn't thinking at all before she spoke, the words where just pouring out of her.

She felt tears falling down her cheeks. She wasn't facing Bellamy; she was rinsing the cloth that she used to wipe his face.

"Clarke. I forgive you. You needed to send me to Mt. Weather because the rest of the 100 where in that death trap. It would have been selfish if you didn't. And you didn't put theses scars on me, they did. And they are all dead now. And-" he stopped before he said the words, "And I do love you Clarke, I'm in love with you."

Octavia walked in when he was saying the words, and she looked like someone shot her. She looked at Clarke with a look that made Clarke scared, actually scared. And she looked at then Bellamy.

"Clarke. Leave!" Octavia was pissed and Clarke new she was going to tell Bellamy what happened the night of the missile attack.

"Octavia what is going—" Octavia put her hand up to silence her brother before Clarke left the infirmary.

Clarke wasn't going to try and see Bellamy again today. She would wait for tomorrow. He was supposed to start walking tomorrow and the rest of the ark and the 100 would leave for the ocean the next day. But Clarke couldn't think about that. There was only one thing she could think about.

Bellamy loved her.
