The day she turned 16 she tried to leave...
Her efforts were futile she was to weak. Too afraid to escape the grasp of the monsters she calls parents. The years of abuse had constructed a fear so profound and vigorous she was unable to break the chains of abhorrence that bound her. She was ashamed of her weakness and made a vow to herself she would get stronger.
Two months later she got ready to leave. She had had enough time to heal her wounds. Trembling she packed her bag, she only packed the necessities because it all had to fit in her rucksack. However, she wasn't trembling with fear but with the excitement of starting a new life. Elizabeth was finally ready to leave her old life in the dirt and move on.
Equipped, she made her way down stairs thinking her parents were out cold from all the alcohol and drugs. Unfortunately, she was wrong. Very wrong! Her farther stood in the hallway with a bear in hand letting of a horrid stench of alcohol and tobacco. Elizabeth froze where she was. Paralyzed.
Her father turned to her shouting "Where do you think you're going you filthy wretch?" His words coming out slurred and slow as he stumbles forward.
Elizabeth could do nothing to prevent the whimper she made at the sound of his voice. She cursed in her head she was acting like a weak little girl again and she hated it. She decided to try and just stay calm and walk out hoping he was too drunk to act. Regrettably she was once again wrong and her mistake couldn't be avoided this time. As she tried to slip past disorientated man towards her freedom, he reached out and grabbed her.
Elizabeth felt a harsh tug on her hair and the force pulled her back so she was facing her farther. He spat at her and once again shouted "Where the fuck are you going you little whore?" Elizabeth felt hot tears prick her eyes but she refused to let them fall. Before she could react, she felt a substantial pain in her stomach and fell to her knees. Soon she realized it was his huge fist that had caused the pain. Spiting at her, venom dripping from each word his cold voice rang through her ears " Answer me you bitch."
Elizabeth responded by spiting at his feet all she could feel now was a fury so profound she felt like her blood had turned to fire. But she was very attentive to the perpetual fear that keep her from fighting back. No matter how zealous she was to do so she just couldn't. In response to her rebellion her farther booted her in the side. All Elizabeth heard was a sickening crack then an immense pain overwhelmed her. But it didn't end there...
Her farther brought his foot into her stomach repeatedly until she could no longer feel any pain at all. Next thing she knew her farther grasped her hair and brought her to her feet to punch her in the face and throw her across the hallway into the kitchen where her back crashed into the counter. She could taste the disgusting coppery liquid that had started to fill her mouth and spat it out. The crimson liquid hit the floor with a splutter and stained the white tiles.
Determined, she managed to stumble to her feet and stand even though her whole body felt numb. Abruptly, a glass bottle was launches at her head just missing its mark. But the glass ricochet from the wall behind her and tinny teeth embedded themselves into her arm and shoulder. Then her drunken farther barged into the room and grabbed a kitchen knife. In a frenzy of rage, he carelessly waved the knife around. Elizabeth dodged the oncoming attacks and made a bee line for the door only turning back once her farther began hollering drunken threats to take her life. Then the knife was hurled at her in the blink of an eye it was embedded in her body just above her hip. She let out a scream of pain as she pulled the knife out and dropped it to the floor with a clatter. Then she ran as fast as her battered body would allow.
She ran to the woods that stood tall close to her rickety home and skilfully navigated the abundant woodland. In the woods hidden behind the shrubs beneath a thick tarp was a beautiful jet-black Harley Davidson that Ian had left her. However, it had been modified to be suitable for a hunter as that was what he was. Along with the bike was a gym bag full of weapon and first aid equipment. She took some time to bandage her wounds and stop the bleeding but she knew she needed someone more qualified to treat her injuries. Then she secured her bags onto bike and set of for a new town. Eager to leave the one she grew up.
After countless hours on the road she found herself at a small town called Beacon Hills. She made her way towards the town but the fatigue caused by loss of blood and lack of sleep prevented her from traveling much further. If she continued, she would only cause more damage to her already beaten body as she felt her consciousness slipping. So she made into the woods and decided it would be best to rest for a while and check on her wounds. Tiered she looked for a comfortable place settled down with her few belongings close. Very quickly she fell into the darkness and became numb to the world. She didn't care that she had left herself vulnerable she was just so tired she didn't have the energy to be concerned or careful she just wanted to rest her aching body.
Later that night when the sun had fallen and darkness had engulfed the woodland landscape Elizabeth still lay dead to the active world surrounding her in a void of darkness. Trapped in a dreamless sleep.
Two teen boys stumbled across her seemingly lifeless body sprawled across the dead leaves of the forest floor.
Scott and Stiles were just taking a stroll through the woods like they do when they're not fighting supernatural entities that threaten their small town. Then they discovered a body just of a path, lead so still at first glance they thought she was dead. But due to Scott having supernatural hearing he could hear a faint heart-beat. The duo trekked closer to the seemingly lifeless body sprawled on the cold, hard forest floor. As they came closer shock was apparent on their faces. Aghast at the scene before them, a young girl about their age lay there beaten and bruised it made their blood boil and their minds spin with all the possibilities.
Who could do such a thing? Cautiously they got closer to try and wake her. Stiles crouched next to her and taped her shoulder waiting for a response when he got nothing in return the hyperactive boy began to panic. Scott was lost for what to do as he tried to get his friend to calm down so they could form a plan. Once they were both calm, they decided to take the girl to the hospital. Scott carried her to the blue jeep and laid her in the back seat carefully as not to hurt her. Worry spread across their features as they prayed that this wasn't the doing of the supernatural.
Once they got to the hospital Scott carried the small girl into the building and Stiles rushed ahead and started shouting at Melissa, Scott's mum "Melissa, Melissa quickly it's an emergency we need your help. There was a girl in the woods and she was hurt and we brought her here and" Stiles rambled on until Melissa interrupted him.
In a calm voice Melissa said "Stiles calm down. Now tell me slowly what's wrong so I can get help. Okay?" Stiles only nodded with a look of urgency on his face. But then Scott came bursting in carrying the girl who hung limply in his arms.
"Mum she needs help" Melissa was stunned by the sight of the poor girl in her sons' hands all she could manage to do was to ask what had happened then hurry to find a room so she could look over the girl.
Melissa called for assistance and instructed her son to lay the girl on a hospital bed that was then being pushed away as she turned to the boys and told them to stay put as she joined the other nurses examining the injured teen. She began to remove the girl's shirt and examine the injuries. From what she could see at first glance the poor girl had two broken or fractured ribs, severe bruising on her stomach and ribs, a bruised and swollen face, small shards of glass embedded in her right arm and shoulder and a deep laceration to the lower left side of the body thankfully missing all internal organs. She may even have internal bleeding. Once they had placed the girl in the room, she was left in the capable hands of a doctor and a few nurses.
Worried for the poor girl, Melissa made her way back to the boys. She informed them the girl was in a stable condition at the moment but showed no sign of waking up. Then came the interrogation, she questioned the boys on what had happened wanting to know why they had ended up carrying a beaten girl through the hospital doors. Once they had informed her of how they came across the girl, the mother told them to head home to rest as it was getting late. She reassured them she would inform them on any changes with the Jane doe they had found.
Reluctantly, the hyperactive duo left deciding to inform the rest of the pack about what had just happened. They called everyone to a meeting at the Hale house and set out for their destination. They were first there and decided after the meeting they would go back to where they found her and look to see if she had any stuff they could pick up. Once everyone was present and accounted for, they told them about the strange girl they found in the woods. Allison and Lydia were overly worried about the girl and decided they would visit her the next day if she was awake and try to find out what had happened to her. After everyone had settled, they informed them they were going back to where they found her, the girls wanted to come and learn more about the girl, however, Derek didn't really care as predicted he just wanted to sit at home and sulk like the big brooding man he is.
Hastily, they made their way into the wood where they had found her. Not too far from where they found her laying, there was a Harley Davidson Scott marvelled at the bike and stared wide eyed at it because he wished he had one. Next to the bike where two bags, one was a gym bag the other was a rucksack. Curiously, they opened the bags the rucksack contained an old laptop and cloths nothing that seemed at all interesting. On the other hand, the gym bag was quite the opposite and easily peaked Allison's interests because it was filled to the brim with weapons and books on the supernatural. However, with Allison's trained eyes she also noticed that the bike had been slightly modified, to suit a hunter perhaps, as she noticed that there was a quiver and bow attached to the side but very well hidden as she almost didn't notice it.
Allison had so many questions for the girl when she woke but would have to wait to find out. The group now new that the mystery girl new about the supernatural as no normal girl would carry so many weapons, there was also the fact that there was wolfsbane in the bag. The mystery shrouding the teen lead in the hospital only began to grow and the group of friends become more curious to find out about her. Perhaps with time she would become part of their slightly dysfunctional pack. But would they be able to trust her? Or would she turn out to be nothing more than another threat to their town.
The wait for her to join them in the real world began. Curiosity filled the teens minds as they thought about the stranger. Meanwhile, she was still stuck in a charade of darkness, unable to open her eyes and re-join the people in the land of the living.
