"This feels really awkward." I say undressing in the back of Gwen's mini van. Gwen actually had the seats in the back removed just so she can make this van into her own mobile closet. I know she isn't exactly the 'girly' type with shoes, hair and nail polish, and etc. but, her love for fashion is still there. Although the type of fashion she likes is casual, tomboy-ish, and comfortable.

"I'm your best friend Reyna, besides my eyes are on the road and I got the back windows painted over with black...just relax and change into your dress. It's the blue one hanged on the mini coat rack." I sigh and picked up the dress she was talking about. I applied some light pink lip gloss just in case my lips looked dry. When I was ready, Gwen had already parked in the parking lot. I recognize the place Drew and Piper picked to have the ball held. It was called Le Magnifique, an exact replica of a club in Paris France.

I opened the van's back door, and as I hop outside, some boys were already wolf-whistling. I just rolled my eyes, and ignored them. Although, what I could most definitely not ignore, was that Gwen stared at me with wide eyes. At first I thought there was something wrong with my dress...but when I looked down, I can see why she had that look. I was wearing a shimmering purple flapper dress that was very in-style for women in the 1920s. "Wow Gwen, you really have a good taste." I say. She smiled. Gwen was also wearing a flapper dress but it was a priceless gold one that really suited her.

"C'mon, let's put on our masks and get inside!" Gwen said enthusiastically. I put on my silver glittered quarter mask, and got pulled right inside by Gwen.

My eyes were astonished with amazement of how the place looked. There were glitter streamers hanging everywhere, a short double staircase filled with the boys watching the flapper girls dance on stage, and I can't even begin to explain how the courtyard looked like with all the colorful confetti scattered in the air and floor and it's flower arrangement. I literally felt like I was in a 1920s club. (If you ever watched The Great Gastby, I'm referring to the club's appearance as the club in the movie).

I was still looking around the club, until my eyes set on a guy in the middle of the crowd with a fine formal suit, and white half mask covering around his brilliant blue eyes.

"This girl is ready to dance!" I think Gwen said. Since I was still staring at the boy, I ignored Gwen who was constantly tugging on my long silky black gloves. "Earth to Reyna!? What are you looki- Ohhhh." My mouth was smothered by Gwen's hair as she tried to see what I was looking at, and she found out it was the boy.

"I think I'll go grab a drink, while you talk to your mystery man!"

She immediately pushes me toward the guy's direction, causing me to fall on him. Although, with his quick reactions he caught me in a dip position. When I looked into the guy's majestic blue eyes, time slowed down and I swear my heart was beating 90mph.

"Careful there." He said while putting me back to a standing position.

"I'm sorry, my friend she just shoved me in the crowd and now I-I'm here. Just, sorry." I reply getting loss at words.

The boy laughed, and it wasn't one of those obnoxious jerky ones. It was calming, cozy, and sweet I guess.

"You don't need to apologize. Wanna sit down? I can get us drinks if you want." He suggested.

"Sure." I simply replied.

I followed him to an empty table and along the way, he grabbed both of us a glass of wine-colored fruit punch. We chatted for a bit, and then out of the blue, he asked "Would you like to dance?"

Butterflies were in my stomach, my heart skipped a beat, and I was just speechless. Everything was doing so well. Of course since I was nervous from all the joy, I just nodded. He took my hand and lead me to the courtyard. A slow dance was playing and directed by his instructions, I had my arms around his neck while one of his hands was lightly touching my back and the other was holding my waist.

"I didn't quite catch your name." He said.

"There's a reason for that." I reply seductively...which was not intended.

He smirked. "I like a girl with some mystery."

"Then you'll like me a lot." I say this time sounding witty.

I wasn't sure if I was being paranoid, though it felt like there was magic in the air. We both stared into each others eyes, and when he leaned his head closer to mine, I slowly shut my eyes and the next thing I felt was his soft lips on mine. I swear, there were sparks, literally! By the time our lips met the fireworks just went off.

When we broke apart, the guy pulled off his mask and everything began to be clear.

"Jason?" I asked. Before he could reply, the clock rung. It was midnight! Aphrodite is probably almost home by now...FUDGE!

"I, I have to go!" I tell Jason. God, it's Jason. This whole time I've been with Jason and...Oh my freaking god, I KISSED JASON GRACE!

This cannot be happening!

I ran away to Gwen, but behind me I can hear Jason yelling "Wait!"

"We have to go, like now!" I say to Gwen. She looked at the clock and widened her eyes. I took off my mask and tried brushing off my makeup so that when I arrive at the house, I won't look all fancy on my face. Before I can put my mask back on, Gwen pulled me out of the club making me drop my mask.

Gwen and I hop into the van as fast as we can and took off. "Shit!" I say while changing my clothes back to my graphic t-shirt and sweat pants.

"It's only 3 more minutes away Reyna, we'll make it!"

3 minutes felt like 3 hours, but finally we got there. I got out of the back of the van, and told the friends of Gwen to get out. With no question, they did. I can already hear the van's tires screeching as I watch Aphrodite's limo pull up. I took a quick look at the pool and it was astonishingly spotless. My feet jolted up the stairs while I seeing Aphrodite open the door. Quickly hopping onto my bed, I turned on the TV, opened a bag of chips under my bed, and pretended I was sulking in envy as I watch 'Another Cinderella Story'.

"Reyna!?" Aphrodite shouts out from downstairs.

"What?!" I reply.

"I'm going right to my beauty sleep! Tell the girls I brought home some caviar and and Cajun shrimp!"

"Whatever!"

I wait to hear the relaxing sound of Aphrodite's bedroom door being slammed shut, and just a few seconds after the sound of clacking heels, I heard it.

I sighed in relief...until I heard the 2 damsels in distress arguing in the foyer. Out of curiosity, I got out of my bedroom and looked down the stairs to ask what they were quarreling about this time.

"Well Reyna, if you must know...we spent the whole night looking for Jason Grace-" Drew started.

"-and when we did find him. He was dancing with a rebellious tramp who wore a purple flapper dress, in a silver and gold-themed dance! I could've gone to Jason sooner if it wasn't for stupid Drew here! Who said that the person who I thought was Jason-which he was-was a complete nerd who only looked pretty without the view of his face!" Piper finished along with complete whininess.

Drew then started defending herself along with Piper talking over her. Then suddenly, the doorbell rang.

"Ugh, it's probably one of the geek stalkers that followed us home. Reyna, can you get that? I will continue to win this argument with Drew in the living room. The two witches disappeared in the midst of rooms we had, while I ran down the stairs as the person at the door impatiently rung the doorbell.

I opened the door, and before I even looked, I said, "Lay off the bell would ya? The poor thing has already been penetrated a thousand times with hairy palms."

Although, when I looked at the person, I was star-strucked with his blue eyes. "Jason?"

Immediately I got squished in between Piper and Drew who were giving him they're most creepy flirtatious looks.

"Oh Jason! What a surprise! Are you here to see me?" Piper said.

"No! Here's here to see me." Drew retorted. In a split second they started arguing again while I was just trying to get every bit of air I had left since I was now super squished in the middle.

"Actually." Jason then cut it in.

"I'm here to see your sister." Not only was Piper and Drew shocked, I was as well.

I squirmed my way out of the wall of my step-sisters, stepped outside, and closed the door behind me.

Jason was wearing a more casual outfit than his dance tux he wore at the dance. It was a black leather jacket, a purple shirt, and dark blue denim jeans. This is usually what he wears.

"I don't know why you want to see me." I said.

Jason smirked. "There's a reason for that." He replied.

Oh god, I said that twice to him when he asked my name. Aphrodite's dinner arrangement, and the dance. Of course he would've known. God, I feel so stupid now.

I looked at the ground and smiled a bit. It was nice that he actually remembered me saying that since he's already bombarded with a bajillion messages from fans, stalkers, producers, managers, and etc.

"I catch on y'know, and here's your mask by the way." He handed me silver mask, and my heart skipped 3 beats from when our fingers touched.

"Thanks. I guess that's really all your business here." I said.

He walked a bit closer to me to make the distance between us become 5 feet. "Actually, I never got to know your name, and please don't say 'there's a reason for that."

I laughed, and then replied, "It's Reyna." I shivered a bit while rubbing my upper arms.

Jason saw my actions and took off his jacket to put around me. We stared into each others eyes for a while, and when Jason was still holding the ends of his jacket, he pulled it closer to make me lean to him, and then our lips collided.

Those fireworks were back again. He tasted like the fruit punch back at the dance, which made it even more sweet.

When we pulled apart. I smiled, he smiled, and then walked away. It was like we said our goodbyes with out minds. It was quite cool.

I realized he left his jacket with me, but I really did not want to give it back. I turned back to the door smiling as bright as the night in 4th of July. Although, as soon as I opened the door. I was face to face..to face to face with Aphrodite, Drew, and Piper. They all had crossed arms, and narrowed eyes.

Today's fairytale just turned into Romeo and Juliet, and we skipped all the way to where Juliet died. In this case, she was not poisoned, but murdered instead by the plot twist she calls step-family.
