*CHAPTER 2*
I DON'T OWN ANYTHING FROM JURASSIC PARK.
NO MAN'S LAND.
The whole time we were in the chopper I was terrified off looking down. I sat farthest away from the window or the openings as I could. I couldn't help it to talk to Ellie. The only two people that I hated so far was John and his lawyer Donald. Every time he talked when we took off was punching him in his face. But Ian gave me this look not to.
When we were landing the chopper was having turbulence. I grabbed Ian's hand because I was terrified. Ian looked over to me; I was leaned back with my eye closed. He took his other hand and put it under my chin and I look over.
" It's just a little turbulence." he said calmly.
" A little! Your calling this little?" I said terrified.
"I'm guessing that you don't fly much." Grant said.
" Its called a car." I told him breathing in and out to calm my self out. Ian put his arm around me and he put my head on his shoulder.
"When we were in college she would never go out of state on an airplane." Ian said.
"Why not?" Ellie asked.
" Fear of heights." Ian said.
"Then why come on now?" Grant said with a straight face.
"To come here and to get this over with." I told them. When the chopper landed we all got into jeeps and headed to the main part of the park. In the jeep I sat right next to Ellie. Ian went with Donald and John; I felt bad for him but dislike them both.
Dr. Grant told the driver to stop the car. Both Ellie and Dr. Grant got out of the car and headed over to where the dinosaur is at. When I saw it I headed out of the jeep as well. I saw John walk over to Dr. Grant and Ellie. I stayed back with Ian and Donald. Ian put his hand into mind. I didn't realize he did afterward. Just looking at the beautiful creature, it got my attention. When we headed back to the cars, I decided to take one more look at the creature. Ian grabbed my hand and got me in the car. Instead of ridding with Ellie and Dr. Grant I rode with Ian and the other two.
The whole time we were in the car I wasn't even paying attention to there conversations; I was just looking out the beautiful area. Ian poked me on the shoulder to get my attention. I looked over to him to see him giving me those puppy dog eyes. I smile and put my hand into his. John looks at the both of us.
"How long have you to been together?" He asked.
"6..."
"8 and ½ years once." I interrupted. John looked at our hands then back at us.
"We just got back together after 2 years." He told him.
"Congrats." John said. I look over to Ian; then to the wildlife.
When we got to the building. It looked small on the outside but when we got inside it was a decent size from what it looked like outside. It was to plain outside. When we entered the theater or so he called it ride I sat in between Ian and Dr. Grant. I sunk into the chair and waited for the ride to start. Ian and Dr. Grant look over at me; seeing me with my arms folded; basically looking like a five year- old. At this point I didn't want to be in the building; just want to be outside enjoying the out doors. Ian leaned over to his right; which were I'm sitting.
"Can you please sit up. For me." he whispered into my ear. I looked over to him; I kissed him on the lips and shook my head no. Ian started with the puppy dog eyes again. I rolled my eyes, smiled and got up.
"You seem to use that a lot." I said with a smile. He sat up straight and put his arm around me.
"But if I didn't would you have sat up?" he asked.
" Yeah if you asked politely." I said sarcastically. I smiled at him; he kissed me on the forehead.
John is up talking to is screen clone. I yawned; looks at me with a pissed off look.
"Yes." I whispered. Ian took my hand so I have done anything more stupid, like flicking him off. Which sounded good at that point.
Now we are moving which is now catching me some interest, but what caught Dr. Grant's interest is the dinosaur eggs, that we saw.
"I don't think we can get out of here since its moving and it's a ride." Ian said. It didn't matter what he just said. The four of us managed to move the bars and stopped the ride. To us the eggs were more important then the ride.
When we got over to the eggs I just wanted to pick one up and hold it. I finally chose to pick one up, but the machine took it out of my hand it put it back with the rest. I just looked at it like I wanted to break it. Ian and Ellie look at me, they started to laugh; when I heard them laughing I stood up straight and acted like nothing happened.
Ian started to talk about how there's no way you can make all the dinosaurs female but taking part of the DNA out of it to make it a girl.
"John have you or anyone went through the good part of the park to check that they had laid eggs." I asked.
"No, there all female so there's no point of checking." He said proudly.
" Still it would make sense just in cause you guys made a mistake." I said aggravated.
" I'm telling you they aren't going to breed." He said with confidence.
"What ever dude." I said like I didn't care. I walked over to Ian. I was going to put my arm around him but when I saw the Velociraptor I decided to walk over to Dr. Grant to look at the creature that once walked on this earth 6.5 million years ago.
"Cool looking creature but none of this dinosaurs shouldn't be here." I said with confidence.
" I know what you mean." He replied.
" Cassy…."
" Yo… Get your facts straight, everyone in this room beside you and John here get to call me Cassy. You to call me by my first." I snapped
" Alright Cassidy. Aren't you the expert only for how they breed." he said sarcastically, while laughing.
" For your information, not only know about the breeding process for animals and humans. I know science of what each Dinosaur or animal eats. So if I were you I would be concern about and his clients. Not worrying about what I know." I said in a anger sarcastic way.
"Cat got your tongue now." Ian said lifting his eyebrow. I look over at Ian with a smile and chuckling. Ellie and Dr. Grant smiled after I snapped on Donald.
"After all that I worked up an appetite." I said trying to change the mood in the room.
When we go to the dinning area I sat by Ian, (as usual) when my plate came up I just stared at it. The food on there look nasty, but what Ian has on his looks appetizing. But whatever one learned is that, there is no picking food from other peoples plates. So I gradually picked at the food that is on my plate.
After Dr. Grants opinion everyone looked at me. I have the fork in my mouth and basically my face near the food. Ian has his hand in front of face shaking is head back in forth and Ellie laughing at me. I place the fork down, I pick up a napkin and look at John.
" I know I'm going to hate this one, but what's your opinion so far." John asks politely. I look around, then swallow the food that I had in my mouth.
" Well I go along with Ian and Dr. Grant. This is dangerous, you don't know what's going to happened and how the attractions.. Well the tyrannosaurs and the velociraptor is going to react to us humans. There is a 6.5 million year gap." I said.
"But John think about money fo… "
" See there's a thing. That's all you guys see. I rather be poor before coming here. I don't care about the opportunities of coming to this place. I prefer not to come to this place and spend my hard working money to see some dinosaurs. If I want to see one I would get a time machine and go back in time and your guys are taking the advantage of poor folk." I said in aggravation.
" She's got a point." Ian said in approval. John and Donald kept quite.
"Your must be proud of you." Ellie said in confidence.
"Yeah, I bet they are." I said sarcastically while playing with my food. Ian put his hand in my mine.
" Why is it when we bring up your parents you get sad like?" Ellie asked curious of why she acts that way.
"Long story." Ian said while watching me play with my food.
" How long have you guys known each other?" Dr. Grant asked.
"Since we were 6." I said with a little bit of sadness in my voice.
"You guys are such good friends by looking at you guys." Ellie said with a smile, I looked up at her and smiled back.
"Yeah with him I wouldn't be the scientist I am now." I said happily.
"Wait you guys went to college together?" Dr. Grant said, Ian nodded
The waiter came back in and whispered into his ear. The waiter stepped to the side and John stood up from his seat.
"There here." he said happily with a smile. Each and everyone of got up from our seats and walked out towards the main entrance.
When we got to the main entrance we all saw two kids run up and crashed in to John, the three of them falling to the ground. I was tempting to jump on the top of them and call dog pile, but John isn't that type of person now to do that to. I was leaning up on the railing to look over to see the tyrannosaurs skeleton, which what I wanted to touch so badly. By kept myself from doing that. John introduced us to his grandkids and walked us outside to the cars. I was questioning myself of who I was going to ride with. If I was going to ride with the kids, instead them irritating me, I would be irritating the heck out of them. So now deciding I'm going with Dr. Grant, Ellie, and Ian.
Dr. Grant sat in the driver side, Ian in the passenger, Ellie right behind of Dr. Grant, and I was behind Ian. When the car started I sunk into the seat and started to get comfortable. But after awhile Ellie and I started talking about other things then dinosaurs. Until we got into a particular subject that shouldn't have been said.
"You and Dr. Grant would be a perfect couple." I said with a smile. With a sharp turn Dr. Grant looks at us like we are crazy.
"Alan its just a thought." she said while smiling.
" Which I should have never brought up." I said with disappointment. I had my head down, but looking up. Dr. Grant faces forwards.
" Not." I said laughing, well Ellie and I laughing.
"Can we please get off the subject?" he said with a sigh.
" Fine, ruin our cool conversation about sex." I accidentally blurted out. I covered my mouth. Ian and Dr. Grant look back at me. Ian faces forward and places his hand on his forehead.
"The conversation heads now, not joking." He said aggravated.
" Sorry." I said kind of upset.
"Don't let it happen again." He said with hand covering his eyes.
When we are going by our first dinosaur exhibit. We all look through the window to see the creature. But we didn't see anything. When I sat back on my side of the car I had my arms folded. Ian looks through the rearview mirror to see me getting mad at the fact that we didn't see anything he turned around to look at me.
" Do you want me to come back there?" He said that like I was a child.
" No it's just that we aren't getting anywhere fast." I said kind of disappointed. Ian puts his hand on my knee.
"Be patient." he said.
" That will be difficult." I said lifting my eyebrows up.
"Please for me." he said giving me the lip. I put on a smile and Ellie chuckles a little bit.
"Grr.. I hate those faces." I said happily.
"Will you?" he asked. I look at him in his beautiful brown eyes.
" Okay, dang those eyes of yours make me give in." I said happily. Ian smiles at me.
"And the same with that smile to." I said while laughing. Ian shakes my leg and looks forward. Dr. Grant looks at Ian and nods.
When we got to the tyrannosaurs and while waiting Elli and I decided to tell some jokes by whispering, like we were little kids or something. Ian kept on smiling at the fact that I was getting along with Ellie. Usually I don't get along with a lot of scientist. But Ian also was disappointed at the fact that him and I weren't spending time with each other. After our last joke Ian turned around.
" He Ellie can we change spots so her and I can hang out little bit?" he asks politely.
"Yeah sure." She said. Ellie and Ian got out of the car and traded spots. Ellie is the last one to get into the car. When she closed the door the car started to move.
" Finally! Getting tired of being in one spot for the longest time." I said happily. Ian smiles then looks out the window. I moved over to be by his side. Ian turned his head when I put my arm through his. We look into each others eyes and smile. We kissed once and then I place my head on his shoulder. He put his head on top of mine.
When we going past the Protoceratops, which is laying on the ground and a ground keeper is standing by the Protoceratops. Ellie wanted to get out of the car, this time the car didn't bother to stop. That didn't stop Ellie and Dr. Grant to get out of the moving vehicle. When they got out so did Ian and I. When we walked a little bit we realized that everyone came to see the Protoceratops. Tim is talking to Dr. Grant again about the book he read. Saying how the other book he read was thicker then Dr. Grant's. I poke Ian in the stomach then point to Tim.
"Imagine Tim being Dr. Grant's kid." I said.
"Could see him having a kid but I'm not imagining the turning out like him." Ian said sarcastically. I shake my head, Ian puts his arm around me and moves me closer to him.
When we got to the Protoceratops, Ellie went to her mouth to check what's wrong with the poor thing. Dr. Grant is leaned up on its stomach, moving up when she breaths. The whole time watching Ellie ask a couple of questions to the ground keeper, the only thought that went through my mind was knowing if the Protoceratops is a girl. I can't get over the fact that every single dinosaur on this island is a girl, something had to go wrong down the line. I have my hands on my hips in front of the Protoceratops stomach. Ian and Donald walk over to where I'm standing. Ian stands behind me with his arms around me and his head on my shoulder.
"What are you thinking?" He asks.
" I can't get my mind off the fact that all the dinosaurs on this island is female." I said with a sigh. Ian kissed my shoulder and then stands up straight. He puts his hands on my arms and with his thumbs he rubs my arms.
" I know its hard to let go of one thing but it might be true." he said with confidence. I shook my head and walked away.
"There's no way." I said with a little bit of disappointment. Donald looks at Ian.
"Is she always confident in what she believes in." Donald asked.
"Yes and she never wrong with this certain kind of thing." He said with some point of confidence that I'm right.
We walked over to Ellie and Dr. Grant where Ellie has her hands in manure. When Ian and I saw her doing that we felt disgusted. Well at least I was. When she walked away talking to her self and taking the clear gloves off
"Remember to wash your hands." Ian said.
When we got back to the Protoceratops, everyone is standing in a circle around the Protoceratops.
" I will stay here with the Protoceratops, you guys go ahead." Ellie told us.
"Alright meet up at the center?" Dr. Grant asked.
" Yeah sure. Do you mind if I stay?" She asked the guy.
" Yeah sure." He said.
"Same here." I said. Ian looked at me. He turned me his way, with his hands on my arms.
" You sure you want to do this?" he asked with concern.
" Yeah, if I stay here it might answer some questions." I told him. He still was satisfied with my answer. I put my hands on his face.
" I.. we will be fine." I said with a smile. Ian leaned forward and kissed me. Then he his head evenly with mine. I have my hands on my neck and he has his my face.
" Be careful." He said with concern.
"I will and the same to you." I said with the same amount of concern for him. He kisses me one more time. He then walks away. When he got close to the car he turns to look at me one more time. He looked unhappy at the fact at the fact that I'm stay behind. I felt his concern but I had questions about this poor thing.
" He doesn't look to happy." Ellie said.
" Yeah I know, but I will make it up to him." I told her.
" But thanks for staying." She said with a sigh.
"Your welcome." I said with a little happiness in my voice.
The five of them got back to the T- Rex waiting for it to show up. The whole time Ian and Dr. Grant are in the car, they are silent to each other. But something crossed Dr. Grants mind.
" You most really love her." He said.
" Yeah, to much." He said with a smile.
" Can tell, how long have you two been together?" He asked with curiosity.
"8 years. At that point she was basically my fiancé but we separated after college." he said, sounding upset.
" Why?" he asked still with curiosity.
" She.. Umm broke it off because of issues with family and something happened between her mom and I, so she decided to break it off for a bit and it ended up her not talking to me for awhile because she's been busy getting things together, plus we had an argument." he said sounding upset a little.
"Sorry about that." Dr. Grant said feeling sympathy for Ian.
"No worries, her and I are back together which is a good thing." he said with a smile.
In the other car with Tim, Donald, and Lex. Lex and Tim are talking with one another and Donald fanning himself. Tim finds a night vision goggles. He goes into the back and looks at the other car. Donald realizes that he has it.
" Where did you find those?" He asked.
" Under my seat." He replied.
" Are they heavy?" He asked.
"Yeah." He replied back.
"Then put them back, they might be expensive." he told him. Tim didn't reply back and he didn't put them back under the seat, plus he didn't want to crawl back. So he kept staring at the other vehicle.
" Boom…. Boom." Tim heard that then he turned around to where his sister and Donald are facing. He looks at the cups for a second.
"Boom… Boom…" He crawls back over the seat to where Lex is sitting.
" Lex look." he told her. The three of them look at the cups and realized that after each "boom" the water in the cup would shake. Tim looked out the window with the night vision glasses. He looks past the fence and finds out that the lamb isn't there. The chain that had the lamb chained up is swinging back in forth. Tim turns to look at his sister and Donald. Lex looks at her brother.
"Where did the he go?" she asked.
"Thump!" Lex and Tim look up after screaming. In the next car Alan and Ian hear the wire coming apart.
Tim, Donald, and Lex see the T- Rex eat the rest of the goat/lamb. The T- Rex roars. Donald runs out of the car with the door open. Ian, Alan, Tim, and Lex watch him run to the bathroom.
"He left us." she said with fear.
The T- rex walks in front of there car. Tim walks over to close the driver side door. After he closed it and got into the back seat the T- rex roared and walks over to the car.
"We should help them." Ian said with concern.
"The tyrannosaurus can't see if we don't move." He replied back.
"But they don't know that." Ian said.
"Lets just hope they don't" He said with faith.
In the other car, Lex grabs the flash light so she can get Ian's and Alan's attention. The T- rex sees the light. He walks over to the car. Tim is yelling at Lex to turn off the light. The T- rex comes up to the car, Lex accidentally flashes the light into the T- rex's eyes. The T- rex roar the last time and starts to move the car around. Alan goes in the back and finds solar flares in the trunk. He grabs one and lights it. He goes out side to gets the T- rex's attention. When the T- rex saw it he ran towards his way. Alan throws it. Ian lit another one to get the T- rex's attention. It worked.
"IAN THROW IT!" Alan yelled out loud. Instead of throwing it, he decides to run. The shack house for the rest room blew over when the T- rex roared, Ian got wounded. The T- rex sees Donald on the toilet. The T- rex tilts her head to the side. Then he goes after him.
Mean while I'm at the control room with John, Ellie, and two other people. I'm spinning in a chair trying to occupy my time. Ellie walks over, pulls up a chair and sits down with her hands in front of there face. I look at her and see that she wants to go and get them.
"There's a way to go get them if they are at the T- rex exhibit." I told her.
" How?" she said tiredly.
"You guys can get a car and go get them. You and that dude." I told her.
" Sounds like a good idea." She said. She got up from the chair and I look up at her with watching her go over to John. Ellie and Bob walk past me to go to the jeep to head out to find out where everyone is. John looks over at me with this look of concern. He walks over and sits right by me. I don't care for him much.
"I hope every one is okay." He said.
"Same here." I told him with full concern on my voice. I have this feeling that that something happened.
The whole time we've been waiting for Ellie and Robert to come back, I've been getting on John's and Ray's nerves. I moved to the railing so I can be more irritating, until I see Robert and Ellie carry in Ian. My eye's got wide eyed, I got up to see I can help. They place him on the other side of the railing where I was sitting.
"What happened?" John asked. I walked over to Ian. I'm on the other side of the railing. Ian has his head on the floor with his eyes closed because of the pain in his right leg. I put my right hand on his face. I have tears going down my face. Ian looks up at me to see me crying. Ian takes his left hand and places it on mine.
"What Happened?" John asks with impatient. Ian and Ellie look up at John with a mad look. I didn't care for the question that much.
"What do you think?" Ian said with frustration and pain in his voice.
"The T- rex got at both of the cars. Alan and the kids weren't there when we got there. But were pretty sure there okay. But Donald didn't make it." Ellie said a little bit of upset. John shook his hand and walked over to Ray.
Ian tried to sit up, but laid back down because of the discomfort in his leg. I climb over, I lifted up his head and placed his head on my lap. Ian looks up at me with those beautiful brown eyes of his, I smile at him. I still have tears going down my face. I put my left hand on his face, I rubbed his face with my thumb. Elli sat done right by us. She watched as I tried to comfort Ian as much as I could.
"I don't believe how this day turned out." She said softly. I shook my head yes. Ian opened his eyes and looks up at me.
" I've should have listen to you in the beginning." He said sounding upset. I kiss him on the lips.
"You didn't know what was going to happen. Its none of our fault." I told him softly. I still have my left hand on his face. He Takes his right hand and puts over mine, he rubs his face into mine.
"You guys are a good couple." She said.
An hour later the power went out. We're all trying to figure out how to get them back on. Ian is on his right side talking to John and I have moved to the wall under the window. With my legs to my chest and my hands on my head trying to figure out what we can do... Came up with nothing. Ian sits up straight and looks over at me, he wanted to move over to where i was sitting. I wasn't paying attention to what he was doing until he actually got over to where I am sitting. I look up at him.
"I'm sorry I didn't realize you moved over here." I said sounding upset.
"It's okay. What's wrong?" He asked concerned.
"I'm just got stuff on my mind... That's all." I said with a smile. He has his head down a little bit. I put mine underenth his, I kiss him on the lips. He puts his left hand on my chin.
"I love you so much, that no matter what happens today I just want you to know that you will always be in my heart." I told him while crying and breathing hard. Ian places my head on his chest with his right hand on my head.
"I love you too, I'm just sorry for bring you out here." he said sounding a little bit upset.
We sat there for a while waiting for Ellie to come back with Dr. Grant and the kids. When John came rushing in, we realized it was time to go. We all ran out to head to the jeep he had for us outside. When we got to the lobby, the T- rex and the volicoraptors were fighting one another. Alan helped me get Ian outside to the car. When we got the car and John drove off, we look into each other in the eyes, I put my head on his shoulder and he put his ontop of mine. He put his arm around me and sighed, we all did. We were all just glad to get out of there in time. I'm just gald that most of us are all in counted for.
R.I.P for Donald, Dennis, Ray, and Robert.
