Lily was leaning out the kitchen window, breathing in the chilly air. All around her was chaos. The Potters' lived in a circular, spacious house and it was very like Lily's grandparents' house. In the kitchen, there was Molly Weasley's magic clock. Instead of faces of the late Weasley's family, it now showed faces of Lily, James, Albus, Harry and Ginny. All the hands were pointing to 'Home'. It was Lily's favorite piece of furniture. On the table were Lily and James' trunks. Albus was still packing. Suddenly, Lily's mum bustled into the kitchen.

"Hello love, all ready?" She said softly.

"Yep, all packed mum." Lily replied. Her mum was all emotional today because it was August 31st, tomorrow was Hogwarts day. Lily couldn't say she wasn't nervous, because she was.

"Mum... I'm scared... What if I'm terrible at the lessons, and make no friends?" Lily burst out. She had wanted to say that for days.

"Oh darling, is this what has been worrying you?" Ginny asked. Lily nodded. "Oh, you'll love it! And you have Hugo if you get lonely… And your brothers." She didn't sound as sure about James and Albus.

"Anyway, you'll be fine. You're kind and clever." Ginny assured her daughter.

Lily smiled slightly but was still a little worried.

"I'm going to play a bit of Quidditch before we go to Shell Cottage. Bye mum." Lily grabbed her broom, Flash Rider, and disappeared out the door.

Quidditch was the only sport she was good at. She played Chaser, like her mother, and when it was just her and Hugo, they played a version of penalty shootout. They only difference was that they were on brooms.

After about an hour, Lily's father came out the house, dressed in jeans and a grey t-shirt.

"Come on Lily, the boys are all ready, and great flying!" Harry smiled at Lily, who landed and gave her father a high-five.

"I've been working on it!" She admitted, shouldering her broom.

"Never!" Harry said in mock amazement. They both chuckled and got their coats.

"There you are Lily. Now everything ready?" Lily's mum was still in the kitchen. She looked enviously at Lily, who was showing her father some tricks on her broom. "I miss flying." She said to no-one in particular. Then she sighed and hurried up the spiral staircase to find Albus and James.

It turned out that Albus was not packing, but writing 'urgent' letters to their cousin, Rose.

"Al, we're going now." Ginny said, poking her head round the door.

"Ok." Albus muttered, packing away his letters and stroking his owl. "Back soon, Quaffle." His owl was called 'Quaffle' because although none of his family new, he had a deep passion for Quidditch.
