Chapter 2: Kate's relapse

Two weeks later, Sam was at school when his aunt Kelly called and told him to come back to the house immediately.
Sam was in an instant panic, what if something had happened to Kate? What if it was very serious? Sam didn't even want to think about that!
Sam got up and ran to his bike and rode back to his house and before he knew it, he was walking into the kitchen to find his dad on the phone and his aunt Kelly standing next to the sink.
"What's going on?" asked Sam as he walked into the kitchen, Aunt Kelly looked at him with a certain look in her eyes that he'd seen many times before.
"Your sister's sick, she was up all night with a fever" Aunt Kelly explained as Sam looked behind him to see his mom carrying a blue sheet.
Sam ran upstairs to the bathroom to try and find his older sister.
"Kate?" he asked as he ran upstairs. "Kate?"
Once he got to the bathroom, Sam saw Kate, she looked at him and covered her mouth before turning back to the sink and throwing up more blood.
At that moment, Sam realised that his sister was a lot sicker than he expected.
