Stage two: Into the Yonder
The portal opens in a small clearing hidden somewhere in a dense forest. A few seconds later, Star and Marco come flying out of the light-blue gate. Both of them end up painfully crashing into the dirt ground in front of the portal.
Marco groans in pain, before rubbing his head and pulling himself out of the dirt rut his body left. He quickly scans the clearing for Star, and finds her groaning in pain right next to him.
"You ok Star?" Marco carefully shakes Star, and receives the reply, "Yeah, Marco."
Star pushes herself out of the dirt and continues, "I'll be fine."
Then Marco helps Star get out of her rut, before the duo both look around the clearing they crashed in.
Although both of them are amazed by their surroundings, Marco can't help but worry about what dangers lurk in the forest, and Star wants to finish their mission as soon as possible.
After a few seconds of enjoying their surroundings, Star breaks the silence and says, "Well, let's see what the chart says." So the princess pulls out the piece of yellow parchment and says, "So Constellar Star Chart, where's the orb?"
The chart reacts, glows light yellow, and projects a map of the multiverse, with ten glowing dots and a white dot showing where they are. The princess zooms in and finds a map of the forest the duo is standing in.
"According to the Star Chart, the first color orb should be somewhere around here. It's colored orange, so it shouldn't be too hard to spot." Star rolls up the chart and puts it in her purse. Then she takes her wand out.
"Ok Star, I'll search over here, you search that side." Marco turns away from Star and begins searching the clearing for the orb.
The girl nods, and the instant she turns to search, she spots the orange orb just lying on the ground in front of her, "Hey Marco! I found it!" The boy replies, "That was fast."
The princess takes a deep breath, before carefully walking over to the orb, making sure to be weary of any traps that may be protecting the seemingly unguarded orb.
Then, she reaches for the orb, and is met by a blue, three-fingered hand also reaching for the orange ball.
Star looks away from the orb, and instead diverts her attention to the blue, dinosaur-like creature with a saddle and pink crest in front of her, that was reaching for the orange ball.
She notices an orange alien with light blue shoes and a green hat with a star belt on it sitting on the blue alien's back. Star quickly assumes that it's the alien's rider.
Star turns her attention back to the blue alien and the two of them exchange hard looks for a bit, before glaring at each other and taking a few steps back.
"Who are you and what are you planning to do with that orb!" the blue alien snarls as she cracks her knuckles threateningly.
"I should be the one asking that question!" Star aims her wand at the aliens threateningly. For a few seconds, it looks like the two are about to kill each other.
And after a few terrifying seconds, the orange alien breaks the dangerous silence, "Sylvia, I don't think we need to fight them. They don't look like bad guys."
"Well we don't know if they're the good guys either!" Sylvia sternly says to the orange alien, "Heck, we don't even know if they're going to use it for good either, Wander!"
Then Sylvia points her finger at Star, "You'll have to go through us if you want that thing!"
"Nothing will keep us from getting that orb!" Star charges up her wand ready to fire, before turning her head to the side and yelling, "Marco! Grab the orb!"
"Wander! Do the same thing!" Sylvia yells at her rider as she turns to him.
The orange alien jumps off her back and runs at the orbs, but Marco kicks it away. The two look at each other and lock eyes for a second, befgore making a break towards the moving orb.
Sylvia and Star give each other death glares, before they charge at each other. When they meet, Star blasts Sylvia while Sylvia replies with a punch, sending them both flying into nearby trees.
The girls regain their balance, get on the trees and jump off, flying at each other again.
Meanwhile, Wander and Marco continue to chase the flying orb. They both run towards it as fast as they possibly could, up until the orb lands in a tree.
They both jump for the orb, and they both grab the orb at the same time. Marco then tries to shake Wander's hands off the orange ball, but the orange alien sets his feet on the ground and pulls it.
The warrior plants his feet too, and begins to pull as hard as he can. And they stand like this for a few minutes, with neither being able to overpower the other.
Then, Wander shouts, "Wait!" and Marco suddenly releases the orb, causing wander to lose his balance and fall back.
"We don't have to do it like this." Wander holds the orb up, "I really don't want to fight for this orb.
"Well then, how is it going to be?" Marco asks as he moves into a battle stance, "How are we going to decide who gets the orb?"
"Look, I don't fight unless it is absolutely necessary. In fact, I'll just give you the orb if you tell me what you need it for." Wander comes closer to Marco with an unintimidating demeanor, "So, I just need to ask this, why do you and that girl need this orb?"
Marco takes a deep breath, and calmly loosens his stance as he says, "Okay, it's a really long story, but this is the basic gist of it..."
Meanwhile, at the more exciting duel, Star crashes into a tree, breaking it in two, and crashing into a rock behind it.
But the princess doesn't back down. Despite having her teeth broken and her hair now being a torn mess, she still gets up, charges at the blue alien, and slaps her in the face with her wand.
Sylvia forces her away by shoving her into a nearby tree. As she rubs her aching head, she gets up, and stares at the alien, before remembering something important.
"Wait a minute! I have a magical wand! That means I can-" but before is able to finish her sentence, Sylvia uses her back legs and kicks Star kangaroo-style, sending the girl flying into anther rock.
Star pulls herself off the rock, before raising her wand and yelling, "Laser Puppy Blast!", unleashing a torrent of lasers, puppies and laser puppies at Sylvia.
The blue alien is awestruck by Star's power for a second. The she grits her teeth and focuses her eyes at Star, before jumping and dodging almost all of the flying objects. And as she got close to Star, she clenches her hand into a fist...
Meanwhile with Marco and Wander, the former has just finished explaining why he and the princess need the orb.
"And that's why we need the color orb." Marco says as he motions for Wander to hand him the orb.
"Huh, well I guess that is a good enough reason for me and Sylvia to-" the orange alien pauses and then screams like a little girl when he mentions Sylvia. "Oh no! We have to get to the Sylvia and tell her this before it's too late for your girlfriend!"
Wander quickly grabs Marco's hand and drags him as he runs back to the girls. "Why? What will happen if we're not there in time? And Star isn't my girlfriend." Marco inquires with worry.
"Let's just say, Sylvia packs quite a punch!" Wander answers.
Back at the exciting conflict, Sylvia is constantly punching Star, while Star uses a magical pink shield as her defense.
Star now had two black eyes, bruises all over her body, and was extremely exhausted.
Sylvia, on the other hand, just has a few cuts and bruises, and doesn't seem tired at all. And she pounded away at Star's shield.
Another punch nearly shatters the shield of pink light, and pushes Star back, forcing her feet into the ground.
Star chants, "Protectus Upgradeus!" Turning the shield green and repairing the cracks. And Sylvia replies by punching it as hard as she possibly could.
The duo stand silently and stare into each other's eyes defiantly.
Then, a single crack appears on the shield, which expands until the entire shield is being held together by minuscule pieces of light.
Star can't don't anything except watch with horror, as Sylvia clenches her fist again and punches her damaged shield, causing it to shatter and vanish.
And though the punch didn't send Star flying, she still felt immense pain from her shield breaking.
Then Sylvia kicks the girl, sending her rolling across the grassy clearing.
Star gets on her knees, coughs up some crimson blood, before shakily getting up and raising her wand, "How are you so tough? How are you so strong?! What the heck are you?!"
Sylvia puts a determined look on, before replying in a serious and hard tone, "I'm Sylvia, partner of Wander, and I'll make sure you don't-"
"Wait!" Wander yells Hoping that he isn't too late.
The two girls stop fighting, and turn to the two boys entering their camp.
Wander runs over to Sylvia, hugs her, and explains why Marco and Stand need the orb, while Marco runs over to Star and helps her stand on her own.
"Marco, what the heck are you doing?! I was winning!" Star scolds as she flails her arms in air out of frustration."
Marco quips, "Yeah, I saw how well you were doing." As he crosses his arms.
Star just stares at Marco for a few seconds, before smiling, and whispering, "Thanks Marco."
He smiles in reply, "No problem Star, now let's get you cleaned up."
"I've got that covered, Marco!" Star yells as she raises her wand and screams, "Fixus Instantanius!"
Then she taps herself with the wand, and instantly, the wand glows bright pink and releases a small cloud of dust. The dust flies around Star, healing her injures, straightening her hair out, and cleaning her appearance. It's as if she had never been injured in the first place.
"So that's the reason they're collecting these things? And you say there's more of them?" Sylvia yells as she flails her arms up.
"Ten to be exact." Wander adds with a nod, "And apparently a few of them reside in this dimension."
Sylvia grabs the color orb and walks over to Star. The princess raises her wand and glares at the blue alien in response.
"Look, we had a rough first impression, but after what my partner told me I guess we could try again." Sylvia extends her free hand and says in a more friendly tone, "Name's Sylvia, what's yours?"
Star is hesitant at first, after all this alien was this close to kicking her ass before Marco and Wander arrived. Nevertheless, she sighs and shakes hands with Sylvia.
"Mine's Star." Star says before breaking the hand shake. "So, can you give us the color orb?"
Sylvia turns to Wander, who shrugs and nods with a smile. Sylvia turns back to the duo and sighs before she and starts to give the girls the color orb.
Then, the ground starts to shake violently and the small animals come out of the bushes, trunks and other parts of the forest and run away in terror.
"What's going on?" Marco asks as he tries to keep his balance.
"There's only one thing that can cause this to happen!" Sylvia yells.
Suddenly a huge, skull-like spaceship that looks like a face speeds past by and uses an extendable tongue to grab the color orb.
Then it laughs in a deep male voice as the tongue retracts and closes its mouth. Yes, this actually happens.
"What the hell just happened?!" Star yells as she raises her wand at the ship, ready to fire.
"Lord Hater!" Sylvia snarls as she sees the spaceship flying away, "I can't believe I didn't see him coming!"
"But how did he find out about the color orb?" Marco asks with a deadpan look, as he turns to Wander and Sylvia.
"Don't look at us, we're just as surprised as you!" Wander answers defensively.
"Besides, he's pretty used to making trouble, just to make trouble anyway." Sylvia adds as she uses her tail to put Wander on her back. "Come on Wander, we got a spaceship to infiltrate!"
The two aliens begin to chase the ship with the princess and the warrior not far behind.
The four run as fast as they possibly could, until the caught up to the spaceship. Upon which Wander takes off his hat and pulls a bubble bottle and a bubble wand out of it.
The orange alien dips the bubble wand in the bubble bottle's juice and waves it, somehow creating a bubble big enough to contain himself and Sylvia. Then, the duo start floating up and rush towards the top of the ship, with Star and Marco jumping as high as they can and following them.
Then, a cannon suddenly comes out the top and fires a missile at them. Wander and Sylvia manage to dodge it with relative ease, but Star and Marco are unable to get out of the way in time, and are sent flying into nearby trees.
The duo pull themselves off of the forest ground, as the Wander and Sylvia's bubble bursts.
Sylvia then punches the cannon out and before quickly ripping off some metal from the spaceship's "head".
Soon after that, Sylvia throws away the ripped off metal and the duo go inside the hole.
All Star and Marco are able to do, is watch as their newfound friends enter the ship without them. And the ship begin to fly away.
"Great, now how are we supposed to get to that spaceship?" Marco remarks as he and Star get up and dust themselves off.
Star scratches her head with her wand and, suddenly remembering that she had it, she looks at it with a big wide smile.
"I think I know how we'll get inside!" Star yells; as she pulls her wand back, ready to cast a powerful spell.

A/N Hey guys, it's been a while. And finally the wait is over! Exotos and I finished chapter 2 and are now working on chapter 3!
