Chapter 2

It had been a month since the ceremony and Ezra hadn't slowed down since then. For the next month, he had spent his time continuing his training and learning his native language Mando'a. Learning Mando'a had been difficult at first but Ezra had successfully master it.

He hadn't learnt how to use a jetpack let but he had no doubt that his Mother would be making him learn how to use one soon. After all, Bo-Katan was known for using a jetpack and a master of it, there was no way she would let her heir, not use one.

Right now though, Ezra was in the shooting range, firing a Mandalorian blaster carbine at targets. For every five shots, three of them would hit the target.

Standing in the doorway was Bo-Katan. She had come to check on Ezra, wanting to see how his training was going and if he was settling well into his role as heir. What she saw though, confirmed her hopes.

Bo-Katan walked over to Ezra. "Your training is coming along well, Ezra."

Ezra stopped firing and turned around. "Thank you mother but I still have along way to go."

Bo frowned, "Ezra, you're one of the best fighters in this clan and in time will become the best, even surpassing me."

"It means alot to hear that, I have been training relentlessly to fit in with the Clan."

Bo placed a hand on his shoulder, "You have done more than that Ezra, you have come so far in just a few months. I however, have one last thing to teach you." smiled Bo.

"What is my last lesson, Mother?"

Bo smirked, "The use of a jetpack, my son."

Ezra grinned, "I should have known."

Bo-Katan and Ezra walked out the entrance of Clan Kryze's fortress. In Bo's hands was a new JT-12 jetpack, the same design as hers.

"Ezra..I have a gift for you." Bo held out his jetpack, "Your own jetpack. It is the JT-12 , the same as my own."

Smiling with gratitude, Ezra took the jetpack from Bo and connected it to his armour.

"You will need to link it to your helmet's HUD"

"How do I, do that?"

Bo came over and help sync the jetpack with his heads up display. Linking them didn't take much time at, the jetpack just had to set to the same frequency as the helmet.

Bo smiled, "Now we can begin. Take off, I will follow."

Ezra nodded, crouching the jetpack turned on and he shot off into the air. Unfortunately he darted in several different directions, having no control over it.

Bo was watching from the ground and noticed the problem in his form. Ezra was allowing the jetpack to control him, instead of him controlling it. She took off after him.

"Ezra! Don't let it control your movement, you must control it as if it's apart of you."

"I'll try!"

Ezra relaxed and instantly the changes where obvious, he was no longer darting around but was still shaking a little.

"Good! Let's go for a fly around the grounds."

Bo sped up and flew away from him, towards the waterfalls. Not wanting to be left behind, Ezra daringly sped up as well, trying to catch her.

Bo looked over her shoulder and smirked beneath her mask when she noticed Ezra catching up. He definity was her son, a true Mandalorian. He seemed to be good at anything, relating to combat. Bo didn't know if it had anything to do with his Force sensitivity but she didn't care, she was proud of him.

Arriving at the waterfalls, Bo slowed down and landed in a crouch. Not long after, Ezra landed the same way, if not slightly uneasily.

"Well done Ezra, you have adapted will to the jetpack."

"Thank you Mother, it took some time to adjust to. It's not the same as using the Force."

Bo laughed, "definitely not. However that does open up something I've been wanting to take about."

"What's that?"

"I know you have been training in the Mandalorian ways but are you still training as a Jedi?"

"I haven't trained as Jedi since I left…"

"The Ghost crew...You should continue your training, you never know who you'll face, having that training could give you an advantage."

"How can I train as a Jedi, without a Master?"

"I have something to show you."

The Ghost crew had just finished another mission with Phoenix squad and they were in the command centre of Sato's ship. Standing around with them was Sato and Ahsoka, with rebels monitoring stations around the room.

Sabine was looking through the Mandalorian news, when came across something that the had to see.

"Hey guys, you need to see this!" Sabine showed the news on the holo display.

"What is it?" asked Hera

The image appeared showing a masked Mandalorian, with his armour the same metallic gray and blue as a certain Lady Kryze. The Mandalorians customised helmet had a rangefinder and had black Jaig eyes and a Wolfs head. On the the left side of the Mandalorian's chest was a single pauldron ribbon. On the Mandalorian's right shoulder was the Clan Kryze emblem. In the person's right hand was Mandalorians blaster Carbine, pointed towards the sky and two WESTAR-35 blaster pistols, holstered on the thigh plates.

"It says, he's the heir of Clan Kryze!" replied Sabine.

"His armour is incredibly similar to Lady Bo-katan Kryze armour" said Ahsoka.

Kanan just looked confused, "How is any of this important?"

Sabine just looked at him like he was stupid, "You mean apart from the fact that Clan Kryze have become even more dangerous now, than they already were? With Clan Kryze becoming more powerful, they will have more resources to fight against their enemies…"

Zeb realised what she meant, "Meaning they have the power to help the rebellion fight against the empire."

"Exactly!"

Ahsoka walked over to the holo display and continued reading the news about this mysterious warrior. The Mandalorian in the image was definity a male, a well built male. From the little she knew about Mandalorians, having Jaig eyes was a great honour so he must have done something great. As she continued to read the article she was a little surprised to find out he had only been home for 8 months. Ahsoka knew what needed to be said.

The sound of Ashoka's voice interrupted the Ghost crew's departure. "I know you want to gain allies for the rebellion but I don't think going to Clan Kryze would be a good idea."

"What?! We need there help, there support could be invaluable to us." retorted Sabine.

"I agree." said Ahsoka.

"Then why don't you think it would be a good idea?" asked Hera.

"Because they will be unwilling to give it, not when Lady Kryze has just had her son return home to her."

"How would you know what Lady Kryze would do?" asked Sabine.

Ahsoka sighed, "Because Sabine, I fought with her during the the siege of Mandalore."

"You fought at the Siege?!" exclaimed Sabine.

"Yes but that's a story for another time. For now tell me what happened on Lothal."

Kanan and Sabine took turns explaining everything that happened over the last year on Lothal. The skirmishes with the Empire, the death of the Grand Inquisitor, to the capture and rescue of Kanan. Of course it was all said in their perspective so anything said about Ezra wasn't very good.

"So where is Ezra now?" asked Ahsoka.

The Ghost crew looked around, only just realising the Ezra was no longer with them. "We have no idea."

Ahsoka once at the image of the Mandalorian, in thought.

Once Bo-Katan and Ezra had returned to the fortress, they went their separate directions. Ezra going to find a workbench to start project he had recently thought of and Bo going to get the stuff she wanted to show Ezra.

Once Ezra had found a workbench, he sat down and pulled out his old comlink, used when he was a member of the Ghost crew. His plan was to hack it and connect it the Clan's information network, it should allow him to find out almost anything the Ghost crew are doing so long as the crew have their comlinks on.

Ezra was fiddling around with the cabbeling inside the comlink when Bo walked into the room with a box in her hands.

"What are you doing?" asked Bo.

"I'm trying to hardwire my old comlink to receive communications from the Ghost crew and connect it to our information network."

"Why would you do that?" asked Bo, confused.

"Hardwiring the comlink should allow us to gain information on their movements and in turn, the rebellion. Information means intel, intel means we have knowledge over them and an advantage if necessary."

Bo's eyes widened, "I didn't think of that but where did you learn to do such a thing?"

Ezra looked down, "From my time on the streets, learn what you can to survive."

Bo's face overcome with sadness but quickly changed back to her proud smile. "I brought with me what I wanted to show you."

Ezra turned to face her, "What's in the box?"

Bo smiled slightly, "It was left to you by your father, I have looked inside but not for a while...Inside there is a datapad on the forms of lightsaber combat and some materials for what your father called a 'traditional Lightsaber'.

Ezra took the box from his Mother's hands and gently placed it on the workbench, he immediately span back around wrapped his arm around her, hugging her tightly. "Thank you, Mother."

Bo was surprised at first by the hugged but wrapped her arms around him and smiled lovingly. "You're welcome, Ezra. Perhaps now you can continue your training."

"I will but I think I'll make a new lightsaber. My saber-blaster hybrid is impractical for dueling and I have my pistols for shooting people."

"It's your choice Ezra, just make sure you don't neglect your studies in other areas."
