The ambulance took Barney off of the sidewalk and into the ambulance van. His co-workers tried talking to him so that he would wake up, but he just kept lying there with blood coming out of him. His wife called the hospital after lieutenant Harris called her. She asked if her husband was okay. They said no. His head is bleeding internally. They said they can try stopping it but they have to do immediate surgery. She told them do whatever you need to do.
Lieutenant Harris's P.O.V.
I couldn't believe that my boss is hurt. He can't be. He's the only nice boss that I've ever had. He would always take me out to lunch or if I did extra work he would pay me extra. But now he might die and I'll never have another boss like that again. He was like my best friend. Wait no he is my best friend.
Captain Miller's wife's P.O.V.
My soul mate, my best friend is on the line for death. Every morning I wake up and he's right next to me and I take a deep breathe in like it's going to be okay because Barney's in my life. I LOVE HIM. I always thought that we would die old together. But now it's just me. I don't think I should tell my kids that he got hurt if he's okay after the surgery. But if he's not then I have to and I bet their lives are going to be broken too. I called the hospital again to see if he was okay. I dropped the phone.

When I heard the news about Barney I fell to the ground. I didn't know what to say. I told the others and the fell to the ground….. just like I did. We went to his room where the nurses were with him.
