THE LEGEND OF ZELDA Unfolding History: chapter.2 the first duel

After Fin had told Zelda of Link and what happened to them, they had hurried to the Hylian doctor as Zelda did her best to keep little Fin strong. In the Hylian sickbay, a young and blond haired Link who was now dressed in bandages that wrapped his lower chest area and was now resting in bed.

Resting after taking the hit for his younger brother Fin. Link was now dreaming of all the times he had spent in the Zora's domain...now being eaten away by the forces of Ganondorf. Princess Zelda stood up from the bedside now that she had gotten the Zora child to sleep, after being so worried for Link. She walks into Link's room and judging by his well fit body, being that he had swam all his life with the Zora's. He was going to heal up just fine. She takes a seat by his bedside and watches him as she finds something about the boy's face to be familiar to her...

"So he's the hero...? How strange, I've never heard of the hero being raised by Zora's..."

"Haaaaaah!" Link quickly jolts sitting up with wide and fearful eyes. panting and huffing

"Link!? What is troubling you in your sleep?" She tries to calm Link with a gentle hand to his tense should.

"W-Where's Fin!?"

" Fin is just fine, he's sleeping...he was worried about you."

"Sigh..." Link sighs of relief and lies back down, only to realize he had opened up his wound. With a slight grunt, he holds his side and bares it the best way that he can.

"Link! You idiot, you opened up your wound again."She bellows at him.

As the sun rises over Hyrule, the sky is only to shine a deep red color. All of Hyrule, hope and pray to the goddess Hylia that the hero will return to save them and kill the evil Ganondorf once again. Zelda reassures her people, while Fin play's with the other little kids in town. Link stubbornly get's out of bed and CLAIMING that he's FINE when he could still be resting, to check on his brother. All seemed well in Hyrule for now and for the two boys...

But In a place known as the Dusty diamond desert. The land of the driest, hottest desert in all of Hyrule, homeland to the thieves of Garudo, the place where the king of evil himself was born, king and ruler of them all. In the dark castle built in these sands, was Ganondorf with his evil minions the Gerudo's and his sword Ghirahim.

"Hmm, was he not the hero after all?" Ghirahim asked, standing beside his lord's throne.

"Maybe not...But I thought I sensed the triforce in him..."

"Shall I go in search of the hero my master? It would be easy for you to kill him then, wouldn't it?"

"Do as you please...just don't cause more trouble than me." Ganon grinned evilly.

"Hehe, yes my lord..." And with that, Ghirahim disappeared in a flud of diamonds.

"Hahahahahaha! Hyrule will be mine to control!"

Not too far from where Ghirahim is headed. Zelda was sitting with Link in Hyrule castle in her room, as she spoke to him about Ganondorf being the one that had cut him down from last night. Link now knowing the name of the one behind of what happened to him and the Zora domain...he now wanted to take what Ganondorf had stolen back.

"Now Link, I know you're mad...but you can't even fight"

"Of course I can!"

"Don't argue with me! I'm the princess AND I said NO FIGHTING!" She then looked down with a sad look to her eyes.

"You just don't have the power..." She whispered under her breath.

"..." Lowering his head, Link could only think of what his mother would say at a time like this

"Sigh..." She sighed.

Suddenly Zelda's loyal protector Impa comes into the room. "Princess! it's Ghirahim! He's been spotted attacking Deku sprout children!"

"Oh no! Hurry, we must save them!" The door slams as Zelda and Impa both make a quick exit.

"No! " The thought of poor little Deku sprouts being hurt only made him angry and wonder how someone could be so evil. Link then looks out the window and see's that Zelda might not make it in time and see's a trunk on her shelf and opens it, finding a heroic green tunic...

Link now dressed in a green tunic with his mother's blue sash around his waist. His brown leather boots, his black elbow high fingerless gloves topped with brown gauntlets. His white Zora scale tunic under the heroic green and a pair of black tights all down his legs like pants. Some brown back pouches to carry things with and a small gold-copper left shoulder plate with an emerald symbol of courage on it. In hand, Link held a Hyrule knight's sword and on his back was the Hylian shield.

As Link dashed out of the castle, he ran down the streets of castle town and quickly leaped on a red horse with a white Maine and white furry legs and big brown eyes, and lash the rains as the Hylian farmer jumps out of the way. The horse runs off faster than any other land animal in the world and quickly goes by Zelda in an instant, who was mounted on her white horse with Impa.

"Link!?" Zelda gasped, while Impa almost looked angry.

Evil crows fly at Link, trying to peck him. But they were quickly killed as Link swung his sword and jumps a stone wall with the horse, holding on strong to the rains and hurries to the Deku sprouts...A forest of flowers and many ancient stones. Large cracked open seeds full of scared Deku sprouts and all that tried to run only got cut down, all the ones that cried got cut down...they were helpless...they were all scared and cried for their parent's who have passed away by the demon king before them...

"Well this is no fun...hmm, now do any of you have any idea where the hero might be?~" Ghirahim asked, thankfully still patient with the poor children.

"N-n-no... a-and even if we did, w-w-we wouldn't tell you!" The Deku sprout shook with fear but stayed strong for his siblings.

"Well...that's too bad~" Ghirahim tightened his grip on his sword and swings it back, ready to cut down all the children Deku sprouts. Right as Ghirahim's sword was in the mid's of swinging, Link had already leaped off his horse in mid run and blocked his attack with his own sword.

Link's gaze full of struggle and burning with hate. Their blades cut and rub against each other as small sparks fall from the two blades of steal. Both unready to pull away. Link ushers the Deku sprouts to flee quickly while keeping his eyes on the man before him. He was pail in a white jumpsuit with diamond shaped holes, and a red cloak in the same diamond fashion. Big blue daimon earings draping from his pointed ears and short white hair covering half his face.

"Well...there goes my fun...But it look's like you might be more fun then those little sprout's were~ " With a lip of his lips, Ghirahim jumps back, pulling his sword away to eye the young blond in the eyes. The hate burning behind such kind eyes was quite intriguing to the demon king.

"..." Link was scared of what this guy could do. But swallows down all his fear to take this guy down for trying to hurt the Deku sprouts...and for what Ganon had done to his family. As link swallows his fear, a slight glow of the Triforce of courage glows from his left hand. Link doesn't seem to take notice. But Ghirahim is surprised by it, seeing that he not only found the hero. But will be fighting him as well. Such excitement started to well inside Ghirahim.

"So, you're the hero?~" Lust began to fill the tone of his voice as he spoke.

"Whatever, just go down!" Link quickly swings his blade, as he leaped toward the demon king. Ghirahim dodges it. appearing to one place after another. Link turning to look all around, trying to keep Ghirahim in sight. blocking, dodging, and even standing up after taking hits from Ghirahim's attacks. Feeling the surge of adrenalin, pain and the smell of his own blood, Link was losing focus as fear began to worm its way back.

"Hahaha, what's wrong boy?~" Ghirahim said, mocking the hero, all while being nowhere in sight.

Link takes the moment to close his eyes and calm down, remembering what his moth told him once when he was a child. "Sometimes our ears are more powerful than our eyes" Right as Ghirahim came from behind Link, Link could hear the very slight and quiet sounds of Ghirahim's earrings chime and quickly jumps back. But held out his out and cut Ghirahim's right shoulder, landing behind him.

"Rgh!...How exciting! I knew this would prove to be fun!~" Despite sounding outraged, Ghirahim looked more than pleased with Link's attack.

"Huff...huff..." Feeling the weight of fear from the thought of being killed start's to take a toll on him. But stays strong and focus on Ghirahim.

Every time Ghirahim strikes from all round with each attack, Link has had to dodge or counter. Both hurt but nowhere near giving up. After a bit of time, Link blocks all of Ghirahim's swords and strikes at just the right time and sends him to the ground. Link sweats from the fight, his hands trembling from his wounds, his panting heavy as he could feel and hear his heart beating fast. After catching his breath a bit, he walks towards Ghirahim...wondering if he had done something he never thought to do...was kill someone...

"..." Link approaches Ghirahim with caution, tightening his grip on his sword.

"...ungh..." Ghirahim slightly raises his head and looked at Link with a bit of annoyance. "Look's like I lost...as much as I hate losing... I must admit you were fun...however I don't think my Lord will be happy about my loss against you" Bitter about losing, Ghirahim could only fist his hands tightly.

"...Here" Link kindly hands Ghirahim his hand and smiles. Despite being angry with the man before, Link couldn't help but at least respect the demon king for showing him his first fight. Ghirahim oddly enough took Link's hand. Link pools Ghirahim up with all the strength he has left in his arm and they both eye each other, making sure the other doesn't try anything funny. But after a few seconds, Ghirahim and Link both exchange smirks, both showing that they both enjoyed their battle and at least had mutual respect for each other as swordsmen

"Heh!~ I don't plan on losing next time" He sticks his tongue out as his face was drawn near links, who instantly fell over backwards, shocked by the sudden action. But when he got up, Ghirahim was nowhere to be seen. Just then, Zelda and Impa finally arrive after some delays, riding on the back of Zelda's royal white horse.

"Link!"

Zelda rushes to Link's side and sees all of his wounds and hands him a bottle full of strange red liquid known as a *red potion* and Link not very happy with the smell, drink's it and tells Zelda of the battle he had and that the Deku sprouts were okay. Zelda who was worried was now seeing that Link must be the hero...As Zelda now knew their hero, she thought it best to tell Link of the master sword that has been used for the many years of each and every green clocked hero of Hyrule...but not before Imp smacked the hero hard on the head and scolded him for his idiotic lone rescue.

When the three of them finally returned to castle Hyrule, Fin was not happy about Link having to leave him behind to search for the master sword. Link tried to get his little brother to understand...not that Link was that happy about being the hero...But he wanted Fin to have faith in him, rather than being worried for him. Zelda thought of a way to put little Fin's worries at ease by telling him that she would be going with Link, just to keep an eye on him for him. Fin was very happy to hear this and hugged his big brother goodbye before him and Zelda set off for the master sword. Impahowever was no pleased with this, especially since she was ordered to stay behind to protect the castle in her absence.

As for Ganondorf, Ghirahim has told him of the young man he had cut down truly was the hero. Ganondorf happy to hear of this knews and forgives Ghirahim for his loss in the battle with Link and waits for the hero to come to him so that he may take a turn of his fate and kill the hero this year around.
