Chapter 2:
*Raven's POV*
*Flashback*
"Ms. Nightshade," a professor walks over to me in a cold, mysterious tone of voice.
I look up to him. The moment when my dark blue eyes meet his dark eyes, my heart skips a beat and my ears warm up a little.
He's tall with shoulder length greasy black hair, black eyes, pale skin, and black clothing under a black cloak.
"I'm Professor Snape," he introduces himself. "Head of Slytherin and Potions Professor," he adds in.
"Nice to meet you, Professor," I smirked. "I'm looking forward to being in your class."
"So am I," he says and passing me a piece of parchment. "Here's your schedule, don't be late for anyone of them."
"Yes, professor," I accept the schedule. "Thank you."
He seems a little startled at my thanks, but he continues on with other first years.
*Reality*
"Was Daddy handsome?" she asks, giggling a little.
"Oh yes, he was very handsome," I chuckled as I finish up combing her hair. "Come now, let's go get some breakfast before heading out," I tell her as I put on the black and green headband on her head to keep the fallen hair out of her face.
Lillian smiles and follows me into the kitchen.
She always wants to help me in the kitchen whenever she can.
I allow her at some things that she can do in my eyes which will often have me help her.
Today's breakfast contains of porridge with bacon, toast, and fried sausage. Lillian loves having pumpkin juice for any meal really so I always give her some in her favorite cup.
The table is for three people. One at the head of the table for Severus with mines and Lillian's are on both sides of his table setting.
"I hope you're hungry, princess," I said with a smile, carrying the cauldron filled with porridge onto the table. "Breakfast is ready!"
"Yay!" she cheers.
I help her get some of the porridge into her bowl and place it in front of her.
My favorite tea of green tea is nice and hot for me to enjoy during breakfast.
"Mommy, when did you start liking Daddy?" Lillian asks me after some time.
I finish my sip of tea before gathering my thoughts again, "I was in my third year when I realize maybe I like your daddy more than a professor…."
*Flashback*
The weekly test finishes up in my possession. I walk over to my potions professor to hand in my test. I'm one of the first, if not the first one, to turn in my test.
Professor Snape takes my test and our hands touch each other. At first, I thought it was an accident, but when I look to see him looking at the touch stunned with a faint blush covering his face. A similar blush heats up on my face when I realize his hand is actually warm.
Slowly, I remove my hand from the touch.
For the remaining of the class, my desk has a couple of books about potions and herbology while notes are being written down.
Professor Snape walks around the aisles of the desks to see how everyone else is going. When he came over to me, he's quite surprised to see that there's a lot of note taking, specify in Potions and Herbology.
I can feel a pair of eyes staring down at me. My eyes look up to meet with his rather amazing eyes. A small blush covers my face.
He gives me a small smile before continuing on with his walking.
Oh gosh, did he smiled at me?
The bell rings for the end of class. I pick up my stuff and put back in my bag.
"Miss Nightshade, may I speak with you for a second?" Professor Snape asks me through the crowd of hurrying students.
Most students didn't realize our professor's change of tone, but I did.
I nod my head a little surprised about him being….nice?
Once all of my stuff is packed up, I return back to his desk and wait for everyone to leave, knowing he prefers a quieter setting.
"Is there a reason why you ask my presence, Professor?" I ask him calmly even though I'm really confused.
"You appear to really be focus on Potions and Herbology, more so than a Ravenclaw or even a normal student," he answers in his usual tone now.
"Yes, professor," I speak. "Everything in herbology reminds me of when i was younger gardening in my grandmother's gardens," I explain with a smile.
"And what about Potions?"
"She has excellent brilliantly when she came here as a student and taught me everything she knows."
"What house was she in?"
"Slytherin," I smirked.
He smirks back, liking my answer. "That is all for now, you are dismissed," he tells me.
"Yes, professor, and thank you," I give him a soft smile.
"For what, Miss Nightshade?"
"For acknowledging me, no one has been knowledge of me as a person since my grandmother died," I answer him before bowing to him and leaving.
"You're welcome, Miss Nightshade," I could have sworn I heard him say when I'm closing the door.
*Reality*
"That's when you started to like Daddy?" Lillian asked, finishing up her breakfast.
"Yes, that's when it started," I tell her smiling and already done with mine. "Now, let's wash the dishes and head towards Diagon Alley."
"Okay, Mommy!" she smiles big.
Lillian always love to help me out with everything I do. To doing chores at home or at my office at Hogwarts, or even just learning what I teach in my classroom. My little helper, hehe.
"And we are done," I tell her smiling as we finish up putting away the dishes. "Come this way, Lillian," I said to her while holding her hand. I lead her to the fireplace of our lovely home. With a flick of my wand, the fireplace grows into a much bigger fireplace. Lillian and I enter into the fireplace as I speak to her, "Now, Lillian." She looks up to me with her big black eyes. "I need to speak the words "Diagon Alley" with me. Can you say those words?"
"D-Diagon All-Alley?" she tries.
"Diagon Alley."
"Diagon Alley."
"Good girl," I smiled, pulling the Floo Powder. "Close your eyes like Mommy," we do so, "on the count of three….one….two….three!"
"Diagon Alley!" we both say together as I throw the powder on us.
My daughter and I disappear and reappear at the Diagon Alley in one of the streets. We see wizards and witches enjoying the day, shopping the stores or hanging out.
"Where are going first, Mommy?" my daughter asks me as I continue to hold her hand.
"First, we are going to Twilfitt and Tattings for your new dress," I smiled ot her, making her smile big.
She loves getting new clothing. I only get to spoil her whenever she's been a good girl for a while.
"Mommy's going to treat us to a nice dinner next week, so we need very nice dresses for where we are going to," I explain to her smiling.
"Thank you, Mommy!" she hugs me on my leg, smiling big.
I chuckled and hugging her back, "You're welcome, Lillian. Now, remember you only wear a nice dress when we go out to nice places, do you understand?"
"I think so."
"Good girl," I smiled, messing with her small nose, making her giggle.
Our hands hold onto each other as I lead her to the nicest dress stop around.
Lillian's beyond excited to be getting a nice dress to add to her collection of pretty dresses.
"Hold still, little girl," the owner says to Lillian, giggling at her excitement.
"Lillian, be still please," I smirked and rolling her eyes. "If you don't stand still, we won't get some treats," I tell her smirking more.
My little girl loves sugar as much as black dresses, very similar to me.
Her almond-shaped black eyes light up at the mention of something sweat.
Almost quickly, Lillian stands still and the owner begins to make measurements. After making her dress, she begins with my dress. We are going to have Mommy and Daughter matching dresses.
"Thank you so much," I smiled to the owner while paying for the dresses.
"You're welcome, have a nice day," she smiles back and giving me the change.
"Okay, you too."
I carry the bag of the dresses while holding onto Lillian's hand.
"Professor Snape?" a familiar female voice speaks from behind me.
I turn around and my dark blue eyes see the familiar pair of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley coming over to us with smiles on their faces.
"Why, Mr. Potter and Ms. Weasley," I greet them smiling. "I didn't expect to see you two here," I tell them as they walk over to us.
"We didn't expect to see you today, professor," Ginny says still smiling.
Harry than notices Lillian next to me and she hides away from them being shy.
"Is she….?" he didn't want to say any more of his question because of it still being a sensitive topic.
"Yes, she is," I answered sadly before smiling down to her. "Lillian, it's okay. They're Mommy's friends from where she works at."
Lillian looks at Harry and then Ginny before asking, "Are you Mommy's students?"
"Well, at first, we were her friends before becoming her students," Ginny answers her, smiling more. "We're still friends with her," she smiles to me.
I half smiled at this.
They're still taller than me even though I'm older than them. Harry's a good five foot ten inches while Ginny's about five foot five inches. I'm just about five foot three inches.
"I'm probably the only Slytherin that you will ever be friends with," I smirked at this, making them chuckle.
"You're not like most Slytherins," Harry remarks it.
"That's true. Well, we must take our lead now, we have some over errands to do," I tell them. "Nice meeting you both again," I smiled to them and turning around.
"Oh, wait, professor!" Ginny calls out, making me turn back. "Harry and I are having an engagement party next weekend."
"Congratulations on the engagement," I commented smiling.
"You're invited if you and your daughter would like to come," Harry adds in.
I'm a little shocked by the former Gryffindors' request.
"When and where is it?" I ask them.
"Next Friday at my family home, the Burrow," she answers. "Would you two come?"
Well, the Mommy and Daughter date is on next Saturday so I guess it will be okay.
"I don't see why not," I smiled to them. "Enjoy your Summer Holidays and congratulations on the engagement again," I tell them smiling and turning to walk away.
Lillian waves to them smiling big before walking away with me.
