"Young master, it's time to wake up."

"I don't wanna..."

"Just get your ass out of bed."

John got up, yawning and stretching. He sighed and looked at his butler, a tall, lean, man with messy black hair, slightly sharp teeth, red eyes, and the traditional butler attire. He had a red bow on, which he despised because of the color but ignored it.

"I have prepared traditional strawberry crepes with a cream filling, along with oatmeal and herbal tea. Is there anything you wish to request?"

John shook his head "nah, I'm fine." He then giggled a little "you don't have to act so serious and proper; I know you hate it."

"Shut up Egbert and get dressed"

Karkat rolled his eyes. He couldn't help but smirk a little though.

"Oh, by the way, Mr. Strider (resists urge to call Dave 'that one asshole') is coming over today so be prepared and shit"

Karkat sighed and went downstairs, straightening things up for the 'guest', not that he gave a shit about what Dave thought. After a few minutes, he glanced over at John who was walking down the stairs, in his blue suit with the green slime ghost emblem on the chest. His hair was a mess, as usual, and he had on his normal glasses. John sat down at the table, eating his food, then flopped himself on the couch. He began texting Jade, when he heard a knocking at the door. Assuming it was Dave, he told karkat to answer it. Karkat nodded, going over to the door and opening it to se-

"HEHEHE KAAARRRKKKLLLEEESSS~"

Karkat yelped, being knocked to the ground by the perky grim reaper. She was a girl with bright neon green eyes and red hair, her teeth sharp and her work clothes stained with red chalk. She cackled at the annoyed demon, embracing him tightly.

"Terezi, get off of me at once."

"But Karkles~"

"Now."

"Hehe, karkles just as crabby as ever~"

Terezi stood up, getting off of him. She was holding her death scythe, a cane with a sharp tip at the bottom. Karkat groaned, brushing the chalk off of his clothing. He then sighed, looking at her.

"What ARE you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be working? Feferi will get mad at you again!"

terezi just laughed "oh, dont worry about that, Karkles-"

"Dont call me karkles."

"-karcrab. I'll be just fine."

Karkat rolled his eyes, cleaning up the mess of chalk everywhere rather quickly.

I may be one hell of a butler, but this job is one hell of a pain, karate thought to himself.
