Betrayal Of A Best Friend
Chapter 1
Me: I'm finally back.
Dawn: Took you long enough.
Me: Hey, you're the one under the unbreakable contract.
Barry:*turns to audience* Don't ask.
Me: Ok, let's get started.
Disclaimer: As always, I don't own Pokémon.
Dawn felt like someone had taken her heart right out of her. She tried to cry but the tears wouldn't come. She tried to run but she couldn't! Never had she been so upset. Not even when her dad had had to go to New York for 5 years.
" How about trying to get over him with me? Offered Barry. He was hopeful.
"I'm sorry Barry, but I just can't," she said having finally gotten three tears down her face, "You see, before all t-this h-happened Kenny and I w-were engaged!"
Barry's P.O.V.
I mentally wacked myself for not noticing the ring beforehand! I'd loved her for years and that started way back in Twinleaf town. Although, when she started her journey she didn't recognise me.
Flashback/Childhood memory
"Hello, my name's Dawn, what's your name?" said one of the kindergarteners. Her eyes shone in a friendly manner.
"My name's Barry," I whispered...

I had stayed fast friends with her for what seemed like ages, but what was actually a few weeks, only to see less of her when she met Kenny. Mind you neither of us recognised each other anymore than Dawn recognised me with the whole Pokémon journey thing. His name would forever haunt me! The poor girl was streaming with tears by now.
"Don't expect me to be at school tomorrow; I going to take some time off," she whispered through the tears.
And with that she left me and dove neatly into the pool. I stood there quietly for a moment before thinking to myself,
`Damn it, I almost had her...`
Dawn's P.O.V.
Why... WHY! Tell me why! Why did I fall for you all for you all those years ago and then, years after I got over you, you say you love me? I could have been yours! But even in death my heart is his...
As I returned to mum's new mansion I knew that it was time for some special training.

No, they couldn't really be dead. Could they?
Third Person
"Hello dear," greeted Johannah. Glameow came to greet her and rubbed herself(A/N I'm just guessing it's gender) against her legs.
"Hello mum, hello Glameow!" she cheered with a false smile. As she turned to go up the stairs her mum called to her, "Oh and by the way, Auntie Amanda and the twins are coming over later for tea."
Dawn sighed as she lay back on her bed. The twins were very understanding and could help. Even if they were only eight!
3 hours later
"You who,(A/N I don't know how to phrase that)we're back,"
"Uh oh," Dawn whispered to herself as she was dive bombed by the twins. She soon found herself unable to breath.
"Oh, sorry Dawn!" They pulled themselves together though when they saw that they were squashing her.
"It's alright," replied Dawn as she stood up. Even when she was feeling sad Dawn knew that it was important keep your posture as perfect as possible.
Once she had escaped from her "lovely" aunt the twins escorted her to her bedroom. Giggling as they did so, wondering what trouble they would get into this time. Almost tripping over themselves in the process.
"So Dawn, what's up with you?" asked Emma in her high pitched voice which made her that much more adorable.
"What do you mean? She replied; nervous that she would blow the cover that she had tried so hard to create.
Look Dawn we know you; we know that something isn't right," Emily used the same voice as her sister as she spoke.
Dawn sighed, "It's Kenny. Barry told me that he's dead."
"Oh," they said in unison as the dreaded deadly silence filled the room. Not stopping until everything in the room was quiet.
"Don't you think that happened a little too soon after you saw him? I mean didn't you see him this morning?"
"Yeah but...Hey, how Did you know?" Dawn asked puzzled.
"I read today's diary entry..." Emily said blushing.
...
"YOU WHAT?"
"Hey it's not my fault you write your diary as the day goes by!" she hid behind Emily quaking and shivering as Dawn glared at her angrily.
"Moving on, who did you say told you again?" Emma didn't like seeing Emily this scared. Sure it was funny but she wasn't that mean.
Dawn quickly calmed down, "Barry did."
"Well if I were you I would stay away from him until you know for sure," once the twins had settled for something there was no changing their minds.
After tea the twins were given the chance to sleep over which, obviously, they took as an opportunity. Soon after they had set up Dawns bedroom so that it could sleep three people rather than one. With Dawns duvet and pillow moved to the floor Emily was on her left and Emma was on her right.
"So are you going to your school tomorrow?" Emma questioned.
"No, I think I need a break from that place considering what happened," Dawn glared at her for reminding her that they were home schooled even though she wanted to cry. "Just remember, no need to worry!"
The twins sweat dropped as they closed their eyes and slowly went to sleep...
Me: Yay, after roughly ten months I'm finally done.
Dawn: Hope the next one doesn't take this long.
