Author's Note: Okay, so apparently I'm too impatient to wait for a week at a time to upload chapters so now I'm just going to upload them every other day, hehe :-) Please enjoy, guys! xx

Kiss

Maria had never thought that being trapped could feel so wonderful. Against her back – soaking through her pale blue dress – was the cold, wet wall of a building she couldn't remember the name of; and pressed against the front of her body was a man that she was so desperately in love with. They were joined at every point: hips slotted together, arms wrapped tight around the other and their lips moving together perfectly in sync with a passionate hunger as the rain came down. She was certain that she had never felt so alive.

Georg's lips were so warm and soft against her own and his strong hands were so gentle and slow as one of them was tangling in her short strawberry-blonde hair and the other was running along the perfect curve of her side through the soaked fabric of her dress, her heart fluttering within her chest as she asked herself: 'Oh, can this be happening to me?' She couldn't prevent the soft hum from escaping her lips as Georg slipped the hand that was upon her waist around to her lower back and pulled her flush against his broad chest.

'Oh, my Maria.' He breathed as they parted momentarily to catch their breath and their eyes met, her small hands cupping the sides of his neck as raindrops continued to dance down their faces and their lips were equally swollen. 'Have you any idea of how much you mean to me?' Maria's unbelievably soft lips curled up into a charming smile as she traced his sharp jawline with her thumbs before leaning in to kiss a raindrop off of his upper lip.

She lingered for what was probably longer than necessary as his hands rested upon her waist and he brushed his thumbs against the swell of her hips through her dress, the two of them parting with a soft smack just seconds later. 'I do.' She whispered once her eyes had fluttered open once again and she met his gaze, nothing but deep love in Georg's own eyes as she knew that he was thinking about the day that they would both say those words as a promise to one another in front of a cloister filled to the brim with guests and Sisters.

'I love you.' He shook his head in slight disbelief that the beautiful woman before him was truly his fiancée and that she was truly going to be his bride in just under three months, pressing his forehead warmly to her own before she grazed the tip of her nose against his.

'I love you too.' She sighed with a blissful smile before allowing her hands to slip down to his sides through his jacket, a light smirk spreading across her rosy lips as she curled her fingers into the dark fabric. 'Now kiss me again.' Georg wasted no time in pressing her back up against the wall, one of his strong hands cradling the back of her head once more as their lips met in a fiery kiss and she whimpered against him as she brought him close.

The two of them sank quickly into their kiss as she slipped her arms around his waist beneath his jacket and held him flush against her, all thoughts of the pouring rain and the late hour pushed to the back of their minds as their tongues began to dance together.

'You get yourself comfortable, darling, and I'll fix you a drink.' Georg kissed Maria's brow once he had shut the door to his study behind them later that evening, a loving smile upon her lips as he helped her to remove his soaking wet jacket from around her shoulders before she lowered herself down onto the white rug before the fire and watched as he made his way around to the chair at his desk before hanging his jacket over the back of it. 'And what are you looking at?' He teased as he gazed over at her. 'It's rude to stare, sweetheart.'

'Then give me something I don't want to stare at.' She sucked her lower lip as she leaned back on her hands and cocked her head to one side, her beautiful blue eyes sparkling like sapphires. 'Asking me to stop staring when I have such an attractive gentleman for my fiancé is like asking Kurt to skip a meal, my darling, there is no chance of it happening.'

Georg released a gentle guffaw at that before making his way around to the front of his desk as Maria stretched out on the rug, allowing the roaring fire to warm her cold body. 'Scotch or Pinot Blanc, my love?' He asked as he turned to his fiancée with a gentle smile.

'Surprise me.' She told him with a giggle as her eyes were closed and her head fell back in contentment as she could feel the heat from the fire beginning to take effect, Georg shaking his head lovingly at her with a good-natured eye-roll before beginning to pour her a small glass of Pinot Blanc. Once he had poured them both a drink he began to make his way over to her, Maria's eyes finally fluttering open as he sat down beside her on the rug.

'You're going to catch a cold if you don't change out of this dress, darling.' He sighed as he slipped his arm around her middle once he'd handed her drink to her, Maria humming in response as she snuggled against him and buried her head into his neck. 'Why don't you head upstairs and change into your nightgown? I don't mind waiting if you would like to.'

'Couldn't I just take my dress off and stay in my slip?' She grazed the warm skin at the side of his neck with the tip of her pointed nose, Georg releasing a soft sigh of satisfaction.

'If you like.' He nodded with a kiss to her head. 'I have a blanket that you can wrap yourself up in too.' Maria removed her head from his neck then before pressing a soft kiss onto his lips and allowing him to take her glass from her, a tired sigh leaving her as she got to her feet and pushed the sleeves of her dress down her arms before the article of clothing fell to the floor and pooled at her feet. She couldn't stifle the beautiful giggle that escaped her lips as she gazed down at her Captain and saw that he was unable to look away from her.

'I thought you said it was rude to stare.' She placed one hand upon her hip through her thin slip as she smirked, raising a perfectly sculpted eyebrow at him as he stared at her.

'It is.' He teased. 'That's why I'm merely observing my beautiful fiancée in her slip.'

'Mmm hmm.' She nodded as she stepped out from her dress before picking it up and making her way over to his desk, hanging the article of clothing over the same chair as his jacket before she turned to make her way back over to him and gasped softly as he was stood directly in front of her. 'Goodness, you gave me a fright!' She giggled up at him.

'Mmm, sorry…' He murmured as he cupped the sharpness of her jaw in his palm and dipped his head to brush the softest of kisses against her lips. 'Does that make up for it?'

'Not quite.' She breathed before humming against his lips when he took her lower into his mouth and caught her in a long and tender kiss, his hands finding the curves of her waist.

'How about now?' His lips brushed hers as he spoke and she was vaguely aware of him turning them around before he began to walk her backwards towards the small settee in the corner of the room, their lips moving together perfectly in sync as she cupped the sides of his neck in her palms and his hold was light yet also firm upon her waist as he kissed her slowly. A gentle gasp came from Maria as they tumbled onto the settee a few moments later, a warm smile appearing upon Georg's smooth lips as his hand rested upon her hip.

'What was that for?' She asked as she played with his tie.

'Does a man need a reason to give his fiancée a kiss?' He raised his brow at her as he used his free hand to brush her fringe away from her forehead, leaning forward to press his lips to the slightly damp skin there as she snuggled further into his warmth with a smile.

'I guess not.' She whispered as she slipped an arm around him and buried her head under his chin. The two of them remained in their loving embrace for several long minutes before Georg realised that she was drifting off in his arms as her nose was buried into the damp material of his shirt, his heart swelling with love for her as he kissed the top of her head.

'Let me take you up to bed, darling.' He told her as he ran a strong hand along her spine.

'I want to stay here.' She shook her head as she held him tighter. 'I want to sleep in your arms tonight, Georg.'

How on earth was he supposed to deny her that? How could he refuse to let her sleep with his arms wrapped around her? 'At least let me get that blanket I told you about.' He spoke into her short strawberry-blonde hair. 'I don't want you getting cold in the night, my love.'

Maria reluctantly shifted away from him then before laying herself down upon the settee, her head coming to rest upon the arm-rest as she draped her arm over the edge of it. Georg then stood from the settee before making his way over to the set of drawers on the other side of his study and opening the bottom drawer in order to retrieve the blanket, nothing but deep love and devotion sparkling in his stormy blue eyes as he turned around once more and saw that Maria had already drifted off and was releasing the gentlest of snores.

He then set about turning out the main light in order to allow the fire to be the only source of it, a tired smile on his lips as he approached the light-switch that was on the wall beside the door and turned out the light before turning on his heel and padding across the floor towards the settee. Once he reached his fiancée he covered her carefully with the blanket before bending at the waist to press a kiss to the side of her head. 'Goodnight, sweetheart.' He whispered into her ear before brushing a strand of blonde hair back beneath it, a soft yawn escaping him as he lowered himself down onto the end of the settee and removed his shoes. Knowing that they would rub her feet and cause blisters if he were to leave them he did the same with Maria's shoes before setting them down on the floor.

Once he was satisfied that his beloved was comfortable and that she would be able to sleep through the night he began to shift over to her until he was able to lay down behind her, his head coming to lay upon the armrest as he covered himself with the blanket – allowing her to have more of it, of course – before wrapping his arm around her middle and feeling her shift back against his chest in her sleep. 'I love you so much, my love.' He sighed as he buried his face into the curve of the back of her neck, a surge of deep love for her coursing through him as she mumbled her own affirmation of love for him. He left a slow kiss to the warm skin of her neck as he began to settle down, a soft chuckle escaping him.

He couldn't stop kissing her. He had waited for so long to know how it would feel to have her lips pressed against his in a desperate kiss; to know how it would feel to have those same lips travel over the smooth skin of his neck as they sat together on the settee in the evenings, and now that he had the right to kiss her whenever he pleased to do so he was determined to make the most of it. He could tell that she would likely be the death of him.

But that was a risk he was willing to take.
