Mario Total Drama Superstars

Chapter 2

Last time on Mario Total Drama Superstars, the twenty contestants all arrived and split into two teams, the Stars and the Ztars. Corrin and Zelda stepped up to being team leaders, and as the first challenge starts today, we'll see how they cope. The new co-host, Bartre arrived and he is certainly interesting. Which team will be first to lose? Who will be first off? All the answers, coming to you soon, on Mario Total Drama Superstars!

Braixen sighed. "Wow, I can't believe I'm going to the final two with Toadette!"

Toadette gave a fake smile. "Yep! All the way!"

May walked over to the pair and pulled Toadette aside. "What is this?"

Toadette smiled. "Oh, May! Nice to talk to you for the first time ever."

May laughed. "Wow, have I really not talked to you at all?" She shook her head. "Anyway! Not important! I thought you disliked her attention. Why are you now in an alliance with her?"

Toadette frowned. "She wouldn't stop harassing me about it, so I just accepted so that she'd stop, however it doesn't look to be working. She won't stop bothering me!"

May nodded. "Right. So she's forced you into this. This behaviour is unacceptable, and if we lose, I will join you in voting her."

Toadette sighed in relief. "Thank you. It's nice to know that I can at least count on someone. So, that's three for my side."

Braixen pulled Toadette away. "Let's talk alliance stuff!"

Toadette waved. "See you later May."

May walked over to Corrin. "Hey, I'd like to report something."

Corrin smiled. "Report away!"

May frowned. "I think that Toadette is being harassed by Braixen. She's been forced into an alliance."

Corrin sighed. "Oh, that Braixen. I'll talk to her at some point. Don't worry."

Toadsworth sat down. "How am I supposed to be comfortable here, knowing that the princess could be doing who knows what? She could have been kidnapped days ago, and I wouldn't know as I have no means of contact!"

Fawful looked at him. "Hey. Have stopping of talking, or Fawful will give you fury!"

Toadsworth frowned. "But, the princess..."

Fawful rolled his eyes. "Who is caring about the princess? Not Fawful."

Toadsworth gasped. "Now see here, we're quite good friends, that much is true. However I will not tolerate speaking of the princess in this manner!"

Fawful laughed. "We are friending of good times, yes."

Toadsworth sighed happily. "Remember the days of our talk show?"

Fawful nodded. "You are betting. Times of good indeed."

Link walked over to Luigi. "Hey, Luigi?"

Luigi looked at him. "Yes?"

Link frowned. "Are you not bothered by the fact that Mario's on the other team? You seem to be rather relaxed about this."

Luigi shrugged. "Well, what can I say? I guess after all this time, I'm used to being apart from him. From our days on the island, to the train and all the other things. Point is, on this show I seem to be going it alone more than being with him. It just doesn't really affect me anymore."

Link nodded. "I see. I wouldn't say that you were going it alone however."

Luigi looked confused. "You wouldn't? Why not?"

Link raised an eyebrow. "No ideas on who has helped you in any way they can, no matter what?"

Luigi gasped. "Of course! Daisy!" He sighed. "I'll be honest, I do miss her. She's the sunshine in my life. Always there for me, ready to warm me up when I'm feeling down. You know?"

Link suddenly went quiet.

Luigi looked panicked. "Sorry! I know you're still not over that."

Link sighed. "She loved me. She really did. But I ruined it. After our first time here on the island, I was more confident, so I thought that I could date Corrin."

Luigi frowned. "Yeah... why did you try to date her of all people? You're calm and collected, yet she runs around like a headless chicken!"

Corrin ran into the side of the cabin. "Oof! I'm okay!"

Luigi folded his arms. "I rest my case."

Link shrugged. "Being honest, I don't know myself! It's just that Zelda was focused on the game, and Corrin was so nice to me. I wasn't thinking properly and then I burned the bridges with Zelda, and almost ruined her friendship with Corrin! That's why I avoid her! Why should I talk to her, when all I'm going to do is cause her more pain?"

Luigi smiled. "Oh, that's why. Well, I've been told that she wants to talk things over with you."

Link threw his arms in the air. "I KNOW! And I'm not going to talk to her! I'll just mess it up and make her even more upset! I always make her upset..."

Luigi sighed. "And you know you're making her upset anyway by not talking to her?"

Link walked away. "I'm sorry. I need to think everything over a little more."

Sakura tried to stop Link. "I-I could probably help."

Link put his arm up. "No thanks, I don't want to talk about this anymore."

Sakura frowned. "Please. You need to stop running away and just face her."

Link just kept walking.

Sakura sighed. "Suit yourself, I guess..."

Abygail looked at Casper. "Do you trust anyone else yet?"

Casper shook his head. "No. I don't know what they're capable of."

Abygail sighed. "You can trust me, they aren't bad people."

Blue Toad walked over to them. "Oh, hey. I'm sorry to say this, but Casper, you're not really a contestant, so you can't really stay here. Should I arrange a boat so that you can go back?"

Abygail smiled. "I think he'd rather go to the hotel, with the other non-competitors."

Casper looked at her. "I would?"

Blue Toad nodded. "Very well. Bartre doesn't know the way yet, so I guess he'll be hosting until I get back."

Abygail looked at Casper. "Nice to see you bro."

Casper smiled at her. "You should try your best to win."

Abygail nudged him. "You know, there's a common term referred to as 'duh'?"

Casper laughed. "Suppose that was obvious. Anyway, I know you can beat these other people." He paused and looked at Blue Toad. "Now, how do I know I can trust you?"

Blue Toad looked at Abygail.

Abygail smiled. "Casper, he's fine. It's the yellow one you need to worry about."

Blue Toad shuddered. "Please... don't mention him."

(Confessional)

Abygail- Hmm. I guess he's not over Yellow Toad and his cruelty. I would know! I quit last time because of that jerk! Hey, do you think I could've won if I didn't do that?

Link- Ugh. I need to face the music eventually. Why can't she see that it's best for both of us if I just keep away?

Toadette- I don't have much to say. I'm just sat in here so that I'm not being followed by a certain foxy stalker.

Wario threw a dart. "Nice! Ten points!"

Waluigi took the dartboard. "You know, if you call now, you can buy this for only 100 coins. What a bargain!"

Wario slapped it out of his hand. "Hey! No! Why do you keep doing that?"

Waluigi sighed. "You know, I kinda want to keep my taco stand. And we're in trouble because you forgot to cook the meat."

Wario scoffed. "Well, you could've checked it."

Waluigi folded his arms. "Well, I've never needed to, as it was always fine!"

Wario sighed. "Look, we'll be at this all day. Should we agree that we both messed up?"

Waluigi shook his hand. "Sure." He whispered under his breath. "But it was still mostly your fault."

Wario narrowed his eyes. "What was that?"

Waluigi looked around innocently. "Nothing! Speaking of which, I'm selling this here nothing. Just name your price."

Yoshi sat down with Aqua. "So, how are you feeling today?"

Aqua shrugged. "Okay, I guess." She smiled. "You're so kind to be putting up with me through all this. I know you're important to me somehow. If I could just remember..."

Yoshi frowned. "Now, now. Don't push yourself too hard. Perhaps instead of trying to remember old memories, we could have a nice day out, make some new memories."

Aqua sighed. "I get the feeling that you're trying to hide my past from me sometimes. Mind telling me what's up with that?"

Yoshi's eyes darted to the left. "Well, if you have to know. Back before this whole mess, you didn't seem particularly happy. I don't know for sure, but I think that maybe you weren't happy with your life. I don't want you to feel that way again. Your happiness is important to me, you know?"

Aqua smiled. "I see what you're saying, but I have to know. It doesn't feel right to hide my past away like it never happened."

Yoshi sighed. "Okay. Let's make a deal. Fawful and I will try to help you remember as much as you can. It might take a while, but I just need you to wait for a while longer while we gather the necessary things."

Aqua nodded. "I can agree to that." She stood up. "Alright, I'm off to go do something. See you later!"

As she walked away, she started to feel dizzy. A faint voice came into her head.

"H-Help!"

Aqua looked around. "H-Huh? Who's talking?" She shook her head. "I must've imagined it." She sat down. "That felt too real to be imagined. Maybe this is the kind of thing that Yoshi warned me about?"

Zelda saw her. "Hey, what's up? I'm asking as it's probably lame."

Aqua shook her head. "Nothing out of the ordinary. Trust me, I'm doing fine."

Zelda shrugged. "Alright then. Guess I'll just talk to Rosella."

Rosella looked confused. "But you hate me."

Zelda nodded. "I know."

Rosella sighed. "Look, can we just not argue? We'll just be stuck here without being able to go on the other team with our friends. A temporary truce is in order."

Zelda frowned. "I'll think about it."

Mario walked over to them. "I think that you should truce. Rivalling is not good for future challenges. Remember Team Zero."

Rosella sighed. "All too well. All arguing, no winning. It was okay for a while, but then Wario opened his fat mouth and offended Treecko. It was all downhill from there."

Treecko scoffed. "They're talking about Team Zero. The team with the fat slob, and stick figure."

Sylveon frowned. "You say that like nothing good happened."

Treecko gave a slight smile. "I guess two or three people there were alright."

Mudkip shook his head. "Understatement. Popple was friend."

Treecko sighed. "Okay, you got me. Popple was the only one who would listen to me. And Daisy and Luigi... they stood up for me. I respect that."

Sylveon smiled. "Since when do you show respect?"

(Confessional)

Aqua- What was that scream? Should I be scared or frightened of this current thing?

Zelda- They're right. If I want to get off this team and join Corrin and Sakura, I'm going to have to be... ugh... a nicer person.

Treecko- I had some good times, but the bad mostly outweighed it. Being on a different team to all my friends, constantly being bullied by a 'fair and just' leader.

Bartre held a megaphone. "Challenge time!"

Corrin giggled. "I love the sound of his voice. It's so gruff and manly. I find it funny! I'm happy to accept this buff guy as the best guy!"

Sakura smiled. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves."

Bartre looked at them. "Alright, Blue Toad is off doing something, and he left me this list of instructions. Apparently this season boasts challenges of both old and new. Sounds interesting! Your first challenge is THE first challenge."

Rosella looked confused. "Well, yeah. That is how first challenges usually work."

Bartre shook his head. "I mean the first ever challenge! The one with the cliff!"

Corrin smiled. "Oh, I used to be terrified of that cliff, but I got over it in about two months time."

Toadette sighed. "My team lost that challenge."

Braixen gave her a pat on the back. "Don't worry! With me here, we'll win every challenge so that we'll never be separated!"

Toadette sighed. "Sounds great..."

(Confessional)

Toadette- Help. Me.

Zelda- Ah, the cliff jump. What nostalgia. My team won, and we had a pool party afterwards where I just chilled with Link. Back in the days of arguing with Aqua and Peach all day. Is it wrong to miss that? It's not the same anymore as Aqua lost her memory, and Peach is now not mean anymore.

Sylveon- Hey! I never did this challenge! No fair!

On top of the cliff

Bartre read the rules. "Okay, so it seems that each of you have to jump once, into the water. Once under, you have thirty seconds to gather as many pearls as you can. Team with the most pearls at the end wins!"

Yoshi looked confused. "Hold on, I don't remember any pearl collecting in the first challenge."

Bartre shrugged. "Well, it would be lazy to just reuse the challenge, so it would be nice to have some sort of new element to it."

Luigi nodded. "That is a fair point."

Bartre nodded. "Alright. In your teams, you'll go alphabetical. Hold on, I don't know your names."

Abygail stepped forward. "Well, I'm Abygail, so I'm first, I guess." She dived into the water. She tried to pick up some pearls, but kept dropping them. "Darn these cute little paws!" She resurfaced. "Bleh. I only got one."

Aqua looked over the edge. "Uh... this doesn't look very safe..."

Toadsworth smiled.

Aqua took a deep breath. "Alright. Here goes." She dived. She picked up a couple pearls before coming back to her team. "I got four."

Braixen looked deep in thought. "You know, me, being fire type and all, I don't like water too much."

Toadette sighed. "I can't believe I'm doing this..." She walked over to Braixen and put on a fake smile. "Hey... friend. I know you can do this! I believe in you."

Braixen gasped. "Toadette! Y-You! Gave me encouraging words! How can I not dive after this?"

May looked confused. "I thought you didn't like her?"

Toadette sighed again. "Yeah, but you gotta do what you gotta do. We need all the points we can get. Making myself uncomfortable is something I can deal with. For the team, you know?"

May nodded. "Well, if you're sure. If it gets too much for you, you can always talk to me."

Braixen resurfaced. "I got the pearls!" She dropped them all. "Ack!"

Bartre frowned. "Sorry, but that means that they don't count towards your score."

Toadette just facepalmed. "And it was for nothing. Of course."

(Confessional)

May- It looks like after all this time, Toadette still doesn't know her limits. She should really look after herself more.

Toadette- I put other people's happiness before my own, it's true. I just want everyone around me to be happy. It's a naïve view, but whatever.

Braixen- Urgh. My fur is now all soggy! It was worth it though. Toadette's now proud of me! I'm sure of it!

Wario dropped two pearls. "There. Yoshi, you're up."

Waluigi picked up the pearl. "And now, we're offering these nice looking pearls! Only 910 coins!"

Wario slapped the pearl out of his hand and put it in the basket. "Enough of that!"

Yoshi brought back six pearls. "This was a lucky find!"

Bartre smiled. "Alright! The Ztars caught up a bit more, but Zelda needs to collect four pearls or more in order to win."

Zelda nodded. "Okay, that sounds manageable." She dived into the water. She saw a sack with a pearl marked on it. She took it back to the surface.

Wario smiled. "Nice!"

Zelda grinned. "That's right! I found all of these!"

Waluigi looked through it. "Hold on..."

The two looked at him. "What?"

Rosella looked in the sack and gasped. "It's just filled with regular stones." She emptied it and several grey rocks poured out. "But there is one pearl."

Bartre raised an eyebrow. "Wow. You were close, but with sixty pearls to fifty-eight, the Ztars need to send someone away!"

Blue Toad ran in. "I'm back! Oh, so the Ztars lost. Well, all of you cast your votes in the confessional and we'll see who has the most later."

(Confessional)

Aqua- This is kind of a big choice...

Mario- This guy is terrible at this game.

Mudkip- I am guessing I choose this one?

Rosella- It's Zelda's fault that we lost! Plus she keeps threatening me!

Sylveon- I don't tolerate bullying of my friend!

Treecko- Alright, the selling thing needs to stop. I'm voting Waluigi.

Waluigi- I guess if we vote Treecko, we might be safe?

Wario- I told Waluigi who he should vote for. But not who I'm voting for.

Yoshi- I'm not sure, but I guess I'll choose one of the Wario Bros., they've not done any good.

Zelda- Well, I could vote stick figure or fat slob, but pretty princess seems to be actually threatening, and on my team, there is no room for that.

Campfire Ceremony – Team Ztars

Blue Toad stood before the ten Ztars. "Alright. You're here today because you didn't collect enough pearls to guarantee safety. You've cast your votes and made a decision. If you're safe, you'll get one of these mushrooms. Note that on this plate, there are only nine. If you don't get a mushroom, then you'll-"

Rosella cut him off. "Yeah, yeah, we know how this works!"

Zelda rolled her eyes. "I hate to agree, like, really, really hate to agree with her, but we really would like to know who's safe."

Blue Toad sighed. "Alright then. No more explanation. Aqua, Mario, Mudkip, Sylveon and Yoshi got no votes."

All five caught their mushrooms.

Waluigi nodded. "Wow, impressive! The team voted for five different people!"

Wario looked impatient. "And we're two of them!"

Blue Toad picked up three mushrooms. "Rosella, Zelda and Treecko are all safe at one vote."

Treecko looked surprised. "Wow! Not two votes? You need to step up your alliance game."

Waluigi looked cross. "Yeah, we really should."

Blue Toad shook his head. "Well, unfortunately for you, that won't be happening, as you're in the bottom two."

Wario gasped. "What? I can't leave first! I'm the team leader!"

Zelda folded her arms. "And I never get recognition..."

Waluigi looked panicked. "Oh no. This isn't good. Hey, do you reckon I can sell tension? I'm selling suspense for the low, low price of-"

The entire team looked at him. "Shut up!"

Blue Toad pointed to a monitor, showing the votes. "And the first contestant off the show is Waluigi, with four votes. Wario only got three."

Wario caught his mushroom. "See ya later."

Waluigi sighed. "Well. This is a shame. However! You underestimate my power, for I have a Win Token right here!" He paused. "Which by the way I'm selling."

Blue Toad shook his head. "Wrong show, Waluigi. Face it, your time here is short, and quite frankly, not very sweet. I guess I'm just not a fan of shameless advertising."

Waluigi frowned. "But now how am I going to pay for my taco stand? It's doomed! I'm doomed! What is there left for me now?"

Treecko sighed. "This is pathetic." He threw a bag at Waluigi's feet. "There. Take it."

Waluigi looked inside. "This- this is-!"

Treecko nodded. "As much as I'm not a fan of you two, I couldn't stand to see you so upset, so whatever."

Waluigi held the bag close. "This is just about how much I need! Oh, how can I ever thank you?"

Treecko shook his head. "Look, it's nothing, really. I don't need-"

Waluigi cut him off. "Any time you come over, you'll get tacos for free!"

Treecko looked intrigued. "Never mind what I just said."

Blue Toad walked in. "I'm glad for you, but you still have to leave. Get in the boat over there."

Waluigi sat in it. "Well, okay? This doesn't feel like too bad of a leaving thing."

Blue Toad shrugged. "Well, it's better than pushing you off a cliff, wouldn't you agree?"

Waluigi nodded. "Oh yeah! Much appreciated."

Blue Toad smirked. "Although Bartre is driving. He'll take you over to that island resort where Toadsworth handled the aftermath."

The boat drove off, with Waluigi waving to his former teammates.

Blue Toad looked to the camera. "One down, eighteen to go. With Waluigi gone, how will Wario cope? Probably the same as always, but that's beside the point. Find out who will be next to leave, next time on Mario Total Drama Superstars!"

Exclusive Clip – Waluigi

Waluigi sighed. "Well, that was abrupt. I really felt like this was my season! But I guess not every time can be like the first season. Well, from third place, to third out, to first out. At least my placements can't get any worse."

Bartre looked over at him. "So, what are your opinions on working out?"

Waluigi looked at him. "Do I LOOK like I work out? I have noodle arms!"

Bartre shook his head. "A waste of an opportunity."

Chapter 2 is complete! I wonder how many people were expecting Waluigi of all people to leave first? Probably a couple, as his inclusion here was meant to be short, with the 'selling things' joke, a small arc which is wrapped up quickly.

If there are any challenges from past seasons that you've enjoyed, feel free to suggest which ones I should bring back!

Chapter 3 should be coming Wednesday, 9pm UTC.
