"Bella? I think I found one."
I stepped back, surveying the snow-heavy tree. Good size, nice fullness. One side was a bit ugly, but we'd stuff that in the corner anyway. It could work.
She stopped beside me, studying it.
"This could work."
I felt a tug on my jeans. I bent down and picked up our girl.
"What'd you think, sweetheart? Good Christmas tree?"
She nodded, putting her arms around my neck.
"Alright," I said. "This one?"
Bella smiled, taking her from me and handing me the saw.
"Just watch. Daddy's going to be a man now."
I laughed.
