Tywin scowled at his servant who was staring open mouthed at something through the window.
"Do you plan to stay there gawping like a simpleton all day?" Tywin asked making the servant jump.
"No my lord please forgive me." He answered his voice shaking before he rushed off to complete his duties.
Curious at what had caused his servant to react like that Tywin walked over to the window, and as he looked down into the gardens he found his answer.
Dove Tyrell had clearly ventured out for a morning stroll however when the pale morning light captured her, it transformed the material of her dress making it translucent. As her body turned to the light her every curve and feature was visible to Tywin.
One could think it was merely an oversight after all Tyrells weren't known for their conservative dress sense, however as Tywin observed how her body turned only in his direction he realised the Tyrell's actions were no mere oversight but a cleverly thought out plan.
"Smart girl." Tywin said to himself and turned away from his new opponent, adjusting his hardened manhood as he did so.
Dove entered her shared chambers with Margaery with an irritated expression etched across her beautiful face.
"The Queen wishes to break her fast with us." Dove announced.
She headed toward the table in order to pour herself a glass of water, and nearly tripped over a handmaiden fixing the hem of Margaery's dress in the process.
"Wonderful" Margaery sighed as the finishing touches were made to her light blue gown.
"That's enough fussing my sister looks beautiful, thank you." Dove said taking a sip of water and shooed the handmaidens away with a stern look.
The handmaidens scuttled out of the sister's chambers looking practically terrified of Dove, the rumours of her calculating nature made them unwilling to disobey her orders.
"How was your morning walk?" Margaery asked as soon as they were alone.
"Productive." Dove grinned slyly, knowing perfectly well that Tywin had watched her. She could always feel when his eyes were on her, it caused a heat to form on the back of her neck.
Over her first few days in Kings Landing she had often turned when this sensation occurred to find Tywin's intelligent green eyes fixed on her, he would look briefly into her eyes sending a shiver down her spine before he turned away with an irritated expression on his face.
"We defiantly made a good choice in that dress." Margaery grinned accepting the glass of water Dove offered her.
"We've managed to wear green and blue again." Dove stated trying to distract her mind from thoughts of Tywin.
"They'll write songs about us, the green and blue maidens" Margaery teased and spun Dove so the green material of her dress danced around her.
"Even though neither of us are maidens." Dove retorted.
She and Margaery giggled in unison.
"Is the Queen just like you said in your letters?" Dove asked.
She had glimpsed Cersei briefly during her time at the capital, as Cersei had been staying in the Queen's chambers since the arrival of more Tyrells. When Dove had seen her she always had a glass of wine in her hand and venom in her eyes.
"Worse." Margaery answered with a frown.
"Then I'll smile sweetly at her." Dove said with a cheeky smile and bumped her shoulder into Margaery's which make her smile.
"I normal do it annoys her the most," Margaery said "I called her sister a few weeks ago, that was fun." She added with a chuckle.
"I bet she wasn't amused." Dove laughed.
"No but then nothing seems to amuse Cersei." Margaery said and rolled her eyes.
"Except from her brother." Dove said with a wicked look in her eyes.
Margaery burst out laughing Dove shortly joined in and they exited their chambers in a fit of giggles.
"Ah the Tyrell sisters." Cersei said silkily, her eyes slanted maliciously as Dove and Margaery entered the Queen's chambers in a swish of silk.
"Your grace." They said in unison as they curtsied to her.
"Please sit." Cersei said and gestured to the table where a magnificent breakfast was set out.
They were several platters of fresh fruit, sweetmeats and several different breakfast meats. They're were bowls of honey, marmalade, jams and butter to accompany the assortment of fresh bread rolls.
Dove picked up a white flowered roll that was still warm and drizzled it in honey. Her stomach grumbled in appreciation as she took a bite.
"So how are you finding King's Landing Dove?" Cersei asked.
Dove smiled and began to quickly finish chewing her food before replying.
"King's Landing is wonderful, your grace." Dove said sweetly, and smiled at the servant who poured her a cup of tea.
"Yes it certainly is." Cersei smirked and Dove noticed the dark red liquid in her glass.
Cersei assessed Dove Tyrell, she was pretty like her sister but she had a sharpness about her which instantly reminded Cersei of Olenna.
"Joffrey said he would take me hunting with him tomorrow." Margaery said drawing Cersei's arrogant gaze away from Dove.
"It isn't really appropriate for a future queen to go hunting, especially in the company of solely men." Cersei said with a definite mocking tone in her voice.
Margaery paused trying to control her frustration but as she opened her mouth to reply Dove cut in.
"Oh she won't be alone I will be joining her with a few other ladies. Perhaps you would like to join us, your grace?" Dove asked with a playful smile on her lips and helped herself to some candied almonds.
"No I don't think I will." Cersei said bluntly.
"Oh what a shame, your grace." Dove said and sounded genuinely upset which only fuelled Cersei's temper.
Dove smiled sweetly at her as she poured herself more tea. Cersei's smile tightened, her father had been right; this sister had a quick tongue.
Margaery gave Dove a warning look as she cut open a pastry and spread jam on it. Dove winked at her when Cersei was looking the other way and Margaery couldn't help her soft chuckle.
Cersei's attention immediately returned the Tyrell sisters, who if she didn't know any better looked the definition of demure ladies.
"I'm surprised your father hasn't married you off yet Dove." Cersei said changing tact.
"My father realises that I won't allow myself to just be 'married off' as you say, your grace." Dove responded a little too quickly and Cersei realised she had hit a nerve.
"Perhaps I could try to arrange a match for you?" Cersei grinned over her wine cup, clearly enjoying her game.
"You are so kind, your grace. Unfortunately my grandmother is already looking; she has some ideas of who I should marry." Dove replied sickeningly sweetly and sipped her tea.
"Is one of them my father perhaps?" Cersei asked with a poisonous smile.
Dove and Margaery laughed in unison and Cersei's smile faded. She had expected the sisters to look at her horrified but instead Dove wiped tears from her eyes before responding.
"Forgive me your grace but your father is old enough to be my grandfather!" She exclaimed.
"And everyone knows how much he loved your mother." Margaery added earnestly.
The sisters returned to their breakfast and Cersei took another gulp of her wine, she'd thought Margaery had been a handful before, however her sisters' presence made her far bolder.
"You're right, forgive me I just saw you with him at the feast on your first night." Cersei said and laughed as if it was all a jest.
"If I wanted to marry every man I spoke to, there would be a very long line." Dove replied mischievously.
Cersei gave her a tight smile and changed the subject. She began asking Margaery about the wedding, and Dove found herself unable to hide her smile as Cersei refused to speak to her for the rest of the breakfast.
Meanwhile Cersei thought that perhaps Tywin was the best person to deal with Dove after all.
Dove was bathing and debating whether to dine with Tywin that evening whilst a handmaiden washed her hair.
The spy Cersei had sent as a gift to Dove stood to one side, she stood out like a sore thumb in her fuchsia southern gown compared to the handmaidens Margaery had brought with her who all wore Highgarden style gowns.
"You said Cersei sent you because you're an excellent hairdresser?" Dove asked the spy.
"Yes my lady." She answered.
"I'm dining with Lord Tywin this evening and I can't decide how to have my hair, what do you suggest?" Dove asked.
The spy's face lit up in surprise at this piece of information but then she hastily composed herself.
"Do you have ribbon my lady?" She asked after a moment.
"Of course." Dove chuckled.
"I could plait your hair with ribbon?" She suggested.
"Hmm yes I like the sound of that eye catching but not too much." Dove decided and climbed out of the bath.
She wrapped herself in a towel and headed towards her and Margaery's bedchamber. She sat at her vanity and Margaery looked up from her embroidery.
"Have you decided whether you're dining with me or Lord Tywin tonight?" She asked.
"Yes." Dove replied and rubbed a vanilla scented cream into her face.
"Are you going to send him a note?" Margaery asked with a knowing smile.
"No I like the element of surprise." Dove said and continued to rub the cream into her neck, chest and arms.
"I suggest you wear the gown you wore this morning." Margaery said.
"You don't think it will be too much?" Dove asked and dabbed scent behind her ears, on her neck and on her wrists.
"No he's an old man let him enjoy the sight of your young form." Margaery answered.
"My lord, Lady Dove Tyrell is here to see you." The servant announced but then looked at Tywin's high pile of papers "Shall I inform her you're busy?" He asked.
Tywin pondered for a moment.
"No send her in." He decided.
Moments later, Dove swooped into the room. She was wearing that dress Tywin had seen her wearing this morning, but she had a gold silk shawl wrapped around her shoulders, and her chocolate hair was plaited with gold thread.
"My lord." Dove greeted and curtsied politely to him.
"What do you want?" Tywin asked unceremoniously.
Dove held his stern gaze unmoved by his hostility, in fact Tywin got the distinct impression she was trying not to laugh at him. Dove allowed her gold shawl to slip further off her shoulders, and subtly turned her body so Tywin had the best view of her curves.
"I want to satisfy your desire," Dove said and Tywin noted to sensual tone in her voice "To dine with you and reveal my secrets, of course." She added hastily and her eyes were wide with worry, but Tywin knew she was goading him.
"My desire?" Tywin lent back in his chair and ran his eyes over Dove Tyrell's body "Let's rid ourselves of the courtly pretence Dove, it wastes too much of my time." He added and took his time admiring the view.
"As you wish." Dove Tyrell said and nodded her head gently in agreement.
"Fetch our meal." Tywin snapped at the servant who was watching their exchange with wide eyes, he hastily bowed and quit the room.
Tywin knew Dove would come to him despite her initial indecision, he had chosen this evening's menu specially. Normally he was uninterested about what his cooks prepared for him but tonight was different, and he didn't allow himself to wonder why.
Dove had remained standing in the middle of the room, she knew Tywin would not invite her to sit until she impressed him and she was willing to play his game.
Tywin lent forward in his chair and his calculated green-gold eyes fixed into Dove's playful ones.
"Now do you want me to fuck you, girl?" Tywin asked abruptly "Is that why you're here?"
Dove's lips parted slightly, she knew Tywin got straight to the point but she hadn't expected him to ask her that.
"My lord, I believe I said I'd have your tongue the next time you called me girl." Dove said and narrowed her eyes at him.
Tywin smirked pleased she hadn't flinched at his question like any other frivolous court lady would have done.
"Sit down." He said and gestured to the seat to his right.
"Thank you." Dove said tartly.
Instead taking the seat he offered Dove walked to the other end of the table, and sat down at the opposite end of the table therefore making them equals.
"I saw you this morning wandering in the gardens in that scrap of materia.l" Tywin said and his eyes lingered on her trying to make her uncomfortable.
"I didn't know you'd be watching." Dove replied with fake embarrassment.
"That's a lie you were purposely flaunting your beauty." Tywin said his tone harsh.
"Thank you-" Dove began but Tywin interrupted her.
"It wasn't a compliment it was a statement. I know you're beautiful, you know you're beautiful, and the whole of the Seven Kingdoms knows of the Tyrell sisters' beauty." He said.
"Nevertheless my lord to acknowledge beauty is a compliment within itself." Dove said and pursed her lips slightly.
Those green eyes looked into his again and Tywin grew increasingly frustrated with her confidence. Evidently Olenna Tyrell had influenced her granddaughter's behaviour, which only annoyed Tywin more.
"You knew perfectly well I would stare." Tywin said as he held her confident gaze.
"I knew you would look my lord, but not that you would stare." Dove said and her lips curled into a smirk.
Tywin paused, she had him there. It had been a long time since Tywin had met someone who he could have an intelligent conversation with, perhaps he wouldn't dismiss Dove so quickly solely on the basis she was a Tyrell.
Dove looked into Tywin's stare knowing she had just outmanoeuvred him. A sly smile touched her lips as the servants brought in the food.
"Margaery and I are going hunting with the King and the Lords of court in the morning, are you attending my lord?"
"I had no intention to, why do you ask?" Tywin asked curtly.
"It would be nice to have an intelligent conversation with someone other than my sister." Dove answered.
Tywin looked curiously at her finding it odd she had practically echoed his thoughts.
"Fine I shall consider it but it is unusual for a woman to go hunting." Tywin took a mouthful of the venison thinking it might be productive to get some fresh game.
"Highgarden ladies are educated differently from other court ladies." Dove said proudly and lifted her chin slightly.
"And what are you taught that makes you so different?" Tywin asked amused at her pride.
"We are taught that it is a good thing to be intelligent, and how to use our assets." Dove answered and her green eyes twinkled flirtatiously into his.
"Well you're certainly intelligent for a woman, more so than my daughter." Tywin stated.
"Thank you." Dove said and her eyebrows shot up in surprise, she knew Tywin was not a man to go to for praise.
"Yes that was a compliment," Tywin said with a smirk due to her surprised expression. "Cersei thinks she is smarter than she actually is." Tywin said irritated at his daughter's arrogance.
Dove smiled almost shyly at him and they ate the rest of the meal in comfortable silence. Once they had finished their meal Tywin considered Dove Tyrell. He liked that she was smart and pleasant looking, but there was something lurking in those green eyes that he wasn't sure whether he could trust.
"Well my lord I shall leave you to your duties." Dove said and stood up.
"Yes I am quite busy." Tywin said coolly but he stood up when she did.
"Then thank you for sparing time for me." Dove teased.
She dipped into a curtsy knowing Tywin got a glimpse of her breasts as she did so.
"Good evening Dove." Tywin smirked in response to her boldness.
"Oh and in answer to your earlier question," Dove paused and ran her hand across Tywin's table with a sensual look in her eyes. "Yes Tywin I do want you to fuck me, on here perhaps."
