"Lysander!" Lily whined, "Please help me with this Christmas tree. I need it up before everyone wakes up for Christmas and sees that there is not a tree." She dragged on his arm, pulling Lysander from the boys' dormitory, gesturing to a tree that was currently lying on the floor.
"Why didn't you do this yesterday?" Lysander yawned.
"I forgot." She giggled, her green eyes sparkling with laughter.
"Fine." He sighed, only doing this because Lily Luna was the girl he loved and he would not do it for anyone else but her.
They quickly got to work. Lysander was in charge of putting up the tree, whilst Lily went on an adventure to go and find some last minute decorations lying around the castle.
"Now where did I hide that box?" She found the secret passageway she had hid it in and carefully lifted a box into her arms. She reached the Gryffindor common room after a good ten minutes.
"Expecto Patronum." She whispered. The fat lady swung open and she clambered through.
She practically dropped the box when she saw the eight foot tree, looking beautiful.
"Lysander... It looks amazing." She sighed in awe, placing the box down. "Let us decorate." She smiled.
It took an hour to decorate, and they did not even notice the sleepy students watching them, they had so much fun. When the tinsel was being placed on the tree, Lysander nearly let his 'friends-only' cover slip. He decorated Lily with the extra tinsel, and she did the same to him.
"You still look beautiful with all that tinsel." He smiled, biting his lip. Lily blushed a deep red, though she did not know why.
"You still look perfectly handsome." She smirked, as she watched him to go a red colour.
When they finished, they smiled, and wrapped their arms around one another into a warm embrace. It was a great start to a Christmas Day.
