I woke up screaming. I had been having the same dream for a week now and I have no clue why. Xander comes to be by my side before I wake mom and dad again. His blue eyes are all I have a chance to focus on before everything goes black again.
Pain. All I feel is pain when I open my eyes. Realizing this is the same dream I had before and I start to panic. I try to call for him but no sound escapes my mouth when I see him tied up in chains. Bloody and bruised. His eyes, a pale blue, as if he had been crying. I hear footsteps behind me and he mouths the word no. More pain explodes through my battered body but I still manage to stand up. I walk straight to him and undo his chains just to see it wasn't him at all. I turn around to see Xander hanging in the middle of the dusty room and a little girl standing by him. She was beautiful with her blond hair and soft green eyes but that was only the beginning of it. She held a dove that was turned red from its own blood and its neck limp but it still moved as if it was not even harmed. She threw it up in the air and it flew straight at me I ducked and ran but I lose my footing and fall.
"Why didn't you save me?" Xander's voice echoes in the blackness around me. "Why did you kill me?"
"I swear I didn't Xander. It wasn't me! I didn't know!" I said closing my eyes tightly wanting it all to disappear.
"Love, wake up." A voice says in the distance. "Love, come on we got to get ready." The blankets come off and I finally sit straight up with tears creeping down my white face. Xander stood at the foot of the bed and looked at me in my oversized t-shirt and smiled. "Morning, love, get dressed or we will be late." He walked over and wiped the tears from my face before he kissed me. "You're safe. I know you would never hurt me, Rae."
