Hello everybody! Before I begin, I would love to thank all of you who've read both College Life and Second Chance. I glad to say that both stories have pass the five hundred mark and College Life with over a 1,000 hits with the first two chapters. But I ask a favor for the readers of a Second Chance.

Give me more reviews for College life! I love the fact that my hits gets higher and higher every day, but I also like getting a least get a couple of reviews for my story.

Also I want to give a warning to you all about this and the next following chapters.

The first ten chapters are (hopefully) going to be the antestoryline arc. Those ten chapters (hopefully just ten chapters) will be the chapters of Issei growing up and training with his Boosted Gear powers. The warning is that each of these ten chapters (again hopefully) are going to be a minimum of 2,500 to 3,500 thousand words. So it may seem kind of short.

So please enjoy this chapter. I don't own DxD, if I did, then Issei could use Albion's powers without shorting his lifespan.

Also this chapter has been beta'd by Triplesquidge

Rias… Asia… Akeno… Koneko… Kiba… Xenovia… Irina… Gasper… Azazel-sensei… Rossweisse… Ravel… We'll all be together again…right?

*Beep, Beep, Beep*

The alarm clock rang loudly throughout my room.

Ah… I have a terrible headache. It must be thanks to the noise of my annoying alarm clock.

Without opening my eyes, I moved my arm wearily to the night stand and tried to hit the snooze button. But something was wrong.

I couldn't reach my alarm clock for some reason. With my eyes half open and being half awake with an annoying but slowly fading headache, I grudgingly got up and turned off my alarm clock.

Yawning lazily, I took notice of my room. It had reverted back completely to the way it had been before the reconstruction of the house.

"W-What's going on?" I asked, astonished and confused.

[Um…Partner…] a familiar voice awkwardly spoke up in my head.

Ah Ddraig! You're still with me! Can you tell me what's going on here? Why are we back to my house and where are Rias and the rest?

[Do you have anything that can show a reflection?] He asked awkwardly again.

"Why the hell would you need to see your reflection? What happened after the-" I immediately froze on the spot.

I noticed my reflection in my small television. My body was that of a six year old. 'W-what the hell happened?! I'm miniature!'

[Ophis sent us back eleven years into the past.] Ddraig explained.

'What? Eleven years into the past? T-Then I really DID almost d-die after m-my fight with Shalba?'

[Yes.] Ddraig confirmed with finality.

'If I was sent eleven years into the past then... something must have gone wrong with the spell!'

[It would appear so. Originally Ophis was supposed to send you back ten years. She must have used a little too much power sending you back.]

'So I was sent back an extra year, huh. Wait, didn't Ophis also tell us that there's a possibility of others remembering us!'

[Yes, she did say that.]

'Wait… Irina should be right next door! Maybe if she sees me, she'll remember me! She's close to my heart, right?'

[Yes, there is a chance that she might remember us. However, there is something important I must tell you.] Ddraig said in a grave tone.

'What is it Ddraig?'

[You're back into the state that you once were when you were just a human. Frankly speaking, your body is useless as it is now.]

'Well sorry for having a useless body.' I fired back sarcastically.

[All of the power we gained during the time you were a devil is completely gone. Your Balance Breaker is gone. The power of Triana is gone…. Well looking on the bright side, our ability of getting power from breasts is also gone. Ah… I feel so relieved…]

With a resigned sigh, I turned back to my bed and proceeded to sit down. 'You're really enjoying this aren't you? But if it helps your mental health, then I guess I'm okay with that.'

[Yes… We can start fresh again! We can be something else beside the Oppai Dragon! And Albion and Vali won't be the Ketsuryuukou! I find myself to be somewhat happy that you recieved the curse of Samael now!] Ddraig sobbed tears of happiness.

My eyebrow chose this moment to develop a rather impressive tick. 'Hey, hey, hey! Don't get overexcited from this! I almost died you know!'

[Ah…. Not to mention we had only just started enjoying the Oppai Dragon life style.] A familiar voice added.

Wait, I recognize that voice.

I closed my eyes and proceeded to enter the white world within the Boosted Gear. Shocked and surprised, I noticed all of my past Senpai partying and dancing around in a huge conga line. That tick in my eyebrow couldn't have been healthy now. 'What the hell are you idiots doing?'

[Ah… it's good to see you Issei.] One of my past Senpai said cheerfully with a broad grin.

'Wait you guys remember me?' That was kind of strange, but it also made sense in a completely roundabout kind of way.

[Why yes of course.] Another replied in a carefree manner.

You know, even though I had decided that this all made sense... I was still terribly confused.

[Since we were sent back in time with our memories intact, I'm guessing these idiots were sent back with us since they're a part of me and the Boosted Gear.] Ddraig cut in at that point to offer his opinion.

Well I'm somewhat relieved of that I guess.

[Don't worry Issei,] one of my Senpai assured, waving at me. [We'll aid you in your new quest to become whatever dragon you want. We'll work on a plan to train you to achieve Balance Breaker too. So come join the conga line of happiness; or go see that little girlfriend of yours.]

"Irina! That's right I have to go see her! Well I'll see you later Senpai." Waving at them halfheartedly, I prepared to leave my subconscious and return to the world of the living. Metaphysically speaking of course.

I opened my eyes, stood up and moved away from my bed, quickly changed into some nondescript childrens clothing, and ran downstairs into the kitchen.

"Morning," Upon seeing my parents I offered them an enthusiastic greeting before taking a seat at the dining room table.

"Morning honey." my mother greeted back while placing my breakfast on the table in front of me.

"You seem to be in a rush." my father pointed out, picking up the morning paper and flipping it open to the business section.

[Looks like your parents don't have their memories of the future.] Ddraig pointed out succinctly.

I sighed in relief, thankful for that. It would be hard to explain this to them if they did remember the future. I'm kind of glad I wasn't that close to them.

Even though I loved my parents very much, we just didn't see eye to eye very often since that day.

[Was it the day you became a pervert?] Ddraig asked in disbelief.

Yup, that's pretty much what happened.

"I kind of am." I replied back to my father's words.

"Oh? Do you really want to spend more time with Irina then?" my mother asked.

I nodded, "I really do. It's kind of an emergency."

"Is that so?" my father asked, although not making eye-contact. He continued to stare at the morning paper.

"Well it is Irina's last day here." my mother advised me.

Wait, it is? Crap! Now I really need to see Irina ASAP!

But before I could make my hasty getaway from the kitchen, my mother grabbed the back of my shirt collar.

"Where do you think you're going?" she asked.

"Um… to Irina's house?" I replied.

"You can go and see her after you finish your breakfast." my father said, putting down the paper and picking up his fork and knife.

I opened and closed my mouth several times as I tried to formulate an argument, but in the end I aquiesced. "Alright."

I went back to table and hastily got to work on devouring the pancakes and miso-soup my mother had prepared for breakfast as quickly as I could without choking.

"Whoa, slow down Issei." My father demanded, seeming rather taken aback by how quickly I was scarfing food down my throat. One would think I was inhaling it.

"I can't." I told him while continuing on the warpath against breakfast.

"You'll upset your stomach if you don't Issei." my mother informed me casually as she continued her work in the kitchen.

I rolled my eyes and complied with my parents' wishes to slow down my eating. As I continued to eat, my father spoke up in between bites of food.

"Issei, there's only about three weeks before your first day of school. Have you decided on doing anything like, joining a club or participating in sports?"

Ah… speak of the devil. Literally.

I put down my utensils and place my hands behind my head as I leaned back in my chair. "A sport…hmm…"

What kind of sport club should I join? Should I join the kendo club? No, I won't obtain Ascalon until years later. What would I do if I don't have a sword until Ascalon arrives?

[Issei, may I suggest something?] Ddraig asked.

Mentally shrugging at the interruption to my thoughts, I replied to Ddraig's enquiry, 'Sure, what's your suggestion?'

[Why not learn a some kind of hand-to-hand combat style?]

Taking a moment to think on that suggestion, I smiled and nodded, before realizing my parent's might find it strange that I was doing so when nobody was speaking. Thankful that they weren't paying much attention to me at this points as I had yet to answer I continued, more carefully this time. 'That's perfect! Since I'm pretty much useless without the power of the Sekiryuutei anyways, taking a martial arts class would definitely help me in the future. Especially against Sairaorg. Thanks for the suggestion Ddraig.'

[No problem. I just wanted to keep the promise you had with Ophis about taking martial arts.]

That's right. I have to keep my promise with Ophis….

I looked at my dad who was in the middle of drinking his morning coffee.

"Dad, I want to join one of the martial arts clubs."

As I said that, my father spat out his coffee, hitting my mother directly in the face.

"My face!" my mother shrieked in pain, covering her face with her hands as she reached for a towel hanging from the stove..

"Y-You want to take a martial arts class?!" my father asked bewildered, completely ignoring my mother who was still screaming in pain. Hey, don't ignore your wife you old coot!

Scowling at my father, I affirmed, "Yes."

"You know, that costs a lot of money." he reminded me.

"I know."

My mother sat back down at table, a cold, threatening scowl aimed directly at my father as she dried her face with the towel she'd managed to get a hold of.

"Allow the boy to do martial arts." she demanded while directing a deathly glare in his direction.

My father shivered when he noticed a both gloomy and scary aura surrounding my mother. I could see a red flash coming from her eyes.

"B-But dear… we can't a-afford-"

"Yes we can." my mother snapped back.

"B-But h-"

"I'll get a part time job to pay for Issei's classes. I happen to know a friend who owns a dojo downtown."

"You do?" my father and I asked simultaneously, apparently I wasn't the only one who was shocked by that knowledge.

She nodded. "Yeah, my best friend from high school married a former American MMA fighter and opened up a dojo not far from the school. Issei, go learn from her and her husband. In the past she did insist Issei should join, but I refused because I felt it was too violent for him. However, now when I think about it, Issei could use some self-discipline; and someone could learn not to spit hot coffee in his wife's face."

That last sentence stabbed dad's heart with a knife.

He buried his frightened face behind the newspapers and sheepishly asked, "Discount?"

"Yes. Since we're friends, she'll give us a discount." my mother confirmed.

[Well, at least we got that out of the way.]

You can say that again Ddraig.

I smiled. "Thanks mom. Thanks dad."

Shortly after that I left the table and headed on over to Irina's house.

As I arrived, I noticed a huge moving truck parked in the driveway, Irina's parents and some unknown men loading various things into the back.

"Ah, Issei." her mother smiled as she noticed me.

"Did you come to see Irina one last time?" her father asked.

"Yes" I said cheerfully, "Do you know where she is?"

"She must still be upstairs packing her stuff." her father guessed, "Why don't you go up there and play for a little while, we still have some time before we need to get going anyways."

I agreed to her father's request, heading inside and running upstairs to her room. As I walked into her room, I noticed Irina packing the remnants of her belongings.

"Hey Irina." I greeted with a bitter smile.

Irina turned around and forced her own smile.

"Oh hey…" she greeted back listlessly, attempting to hide the sadness in her heart.

"So…." I started, a sheepish grin on my face.

"Yeah…" she replied, not knowing what to say to me either.

[Partner, aren't you going to check if Irina remembers anything about you or your past life?]

'I know, but I don't know where or how to begin. I don't know if she remembers anything about us.'

[How about this…] Ddraig whispered a suggestion into my mind.

Oh… that could work.

"Hey Irina… I had a dream not too long ago." I stated.

"A dream?" she questioned, tilting her head in confusion.

I nodded. "Yeah, It was a really crazy dream; and you were in it."

"I was?"

I again I nodded in response. "Yeah, you were an angel."

"An angel?" she asked.

"Yeah, you had everything an angel had. You had white wings and a halo made out of light."

Now Irina made a face as if I was crazy. "I don't want to be an angel." she responded with a nasty look on her face.

Eh?

[Eh?] Ddraig also made a shocked sound.

"B-But angels are pure and good. Y-You can become an follower of God." I pointed out, a nervous look on my face.

"But it's because of God that I'm moving away." Irina countered.

"Huh?" I had a clueless and probably comedic look on my face.

"I want to stay here and go to first grade with Ise-kun. I love it here. This is my home and I don't want to leave." Irina complained, tears slowly coming out of her eyes.

[Looks like the past "Self-Proclaimed Angel" doesn't have any memories of us or her present self.] Ddraig declared.

I sighed. This might be a good thing. When we were catching up back in the present, Irina told me how she hated the private school she went to during her time in elementary school. I'd rather not have the present-self go through that again.

"Y-You know what school my parents are going to send me to?" Irina asked with barely concealed sobs.

"A private school?" I guessed.

"Y-Yeah," she nodded tearfully. "It's a private school for Catholics."

[Issei, aren't you going to cheer her up somehow?] Ddraig asked.

Yeah I guess that might be the right thing to do.

I walked closer to Irina and gently patted her head.

"Eh?" Irina squeaked, noticing me patting her head.

"Calm down," I said soothingly. "We heroes don't cry, no matter what."

"H-Heroes?" she asked, confused.

"Yeah, you and I are heroes. And you know what the first rule of being a hero is? We don't cry!" I said keenly.

"But I won't ever see you again." Irina protested tearfully.

I sighed. "You want to know another rule of being a hero?"

"What?"

"Heroes don't say goodbye." I told her with a refreshing smile. "Heroes will always be reunited with other heroes no matter what. As long we stay heroes, we'll meet again. I promise."

Irina was speechless from happiness after my words. She wiped her tears and gave me the most cheerful smile I've ever seen her make.

"You're right." she said after sniffling, once.

I smiled. "Let's go to the park and play superheroes one last time."

"Yeah." Irina concurred joyously.

A few minutes later both our mothers accompanied us to the park. On the way I received another massive headache that disappeared after we arrived.

Ever since coming back to the past, I've been getting short and intense headaches. I guess it must be the rebound effect, and since I had no other explanation, that was what I was going with for now.

It's been ten minutes since we arrived at the park. Irina and I were playing superhero in the playground while our mothers talked with each other on the nearby bench.

"Hey Issei-kun, I'm going to get a drink of water." Irina informed me.

After she left for the water fountain, I was all alone.

I decided to wait for her near the swing-sets on the playground. However, I was surprised when I noticed someone sitting in my favourite swing. The person looked right at me.

In disbelief I staggered towards the person on the swing.

"Hello Issei." she greeted me with the usual blank expression on her face.

Hearing her say my name however, drove whatever breath I possessed from my lungs, I was quite literally speechless.

"Ophis…?"

Well I'm leaving the chapter like this. I won't reveal what will happen next chapter, but let just say Issei and Ophis will talk with each other in regards towards the rebound effects of the time travelling spells.
