CHAPTER 1: THE DRYAD'S SONG
As a child Reepicheep Tilling was known for being the bravest, the most heroic, the most noble, the unselfish…..and the biggest was mocked by many for this, but he did not care. You first heard about Reepicheep and his dreams and adventures in a story called Son of Despereaux, in that story, you learned about Reepicheep was born to The Mouse Warrior of Dor, Despereaux Tilling and his wife, Princess Pea Tilling the rightful queen of Dor, and was raised in hiding among the fugitives of Narnia for fourteen years before fighting to free Narnia from its Telmarine oppressors alongside Prince Caspian and the four Pevensie siblings; Peter, Susan, Lucy and Edmund. However it did not tell you of Reepicheep's secret. His deepest, darkest and most private secret! His one secret desire that he shared with no one! Not his mother, not his father, not his cousin, Mikos and not even his youngest brother, Philemon. Every night, Reepicheep dreamed that a Dryad was standing above his cradle and singing to him. The song went like this: Where Sky and Water Meet,
Where the Waves grow Sweet,
Doubt not, Reepicheep
That is the way to which you seek
There is the Utter East.
Reepicheep was sure that this Dryad's curious song would lead him to Aslan's Country.
