Revelations
What happens when Ash see's the true way to become a champion even before his journey? What happens when he actually takes things seriously?
Chapter 1: The Beginning
When you think of becoming a Pokémon trainer, you usually have a reason, whether it be to become a master, to become a coordinator, or to explore the world. Some even have evil agendas, some of which can cause nightmares. To become a trainer, you need to pass an exam, to weed out the weak, and be 15 years old, to be a bit mature. You also need to be given a Pokédex from your regional professor. And here is where we find Ash Ketchum, a 15 year old boy ready for his adventure.
Ash has always been a rather unique boy. Whether it be his athleticism or his fascination with Pokemon. He is super agile for his age, a testament to the amount of running he does everyday. If you were to ask the Pallet Town residents who Ash is, they would say something along the lines of him being as hungry as a Snorlax. Sometimes people would see him interact with wild Pokémon and watch how he becomes friends with it. Whether it be a Rattata to a Spearow. He always seemed to have a connection of sorts with them. Ash is the child of Delia Ketchum, a nice lady, and a mysterious father who no one has ever identified.
Ash doesn't have many human friends and would rather talk to a random Pokémon than his classmates. He only ever talks to Violet, a girl who dresses like a boy(Think Yellow from Pokémon Adventures but in violet instead of yellow. She has also hidden the fact that she is a girl from Ash.). He used to talk to a girl named Serena until she moved to a far away region named Kalos. He is constantly being belittled by Professor Oak's, the regional professor, grandson, Gary. Gary is a spoiled kid who despises Ash for getting more attention from Violet( He is told by his grandfather that Violet is a she). Ash doesn't care about Gary or even bother to respond to the taunts.
We see Ash walking down the road towards a house. When he gets there he is immediately greeted by Violet's parents who say that she is getting ready. While they wait, Violet's parents ask Ash about why he wants to become a trainer. He says,"I am trying to find what has been lost." Violet's parents are confused by this but they eventually let it go. A few minutes go by before Violet comes downstairs and sees Ash. She tells her parents that she is ready and they say their goodbyes. Ash and Violet then set down the path to Professor Oak's lab. While on their way, they talk about who they will choose.
When they finally get there, they see Gary standing outside the lab with a smirk on his face. "You are finally here, who cares? I am the Professor's grandson so I get first pick losers." Violet looks like she is on the verge of smacking him, but Ash just walks right past him. This makes Gary mad, but before he thinks of doing something, the Professor appears.
