Chapter 2
(Meanwhile)
Amy, Knuckles and Tails are in a jail cell in Eggman's base.
Amy was at the bars, Knuckles was sitting against the wall and Tails was trying to figure something out.
"How the heck did Eggman create those guys?" Amy asked.
"I don't know, he must have-" Tails got cut off by another voice.
"He has a formula called TBM." a male voice said in a small grizzly voice.
Amy, Knuckles and Tails turned to where the voice came from and it was behind a wall.
"TBM? What's that?" Knuckles asked, getting up.
"It stand for 'The Blade Men' funnily enough that's what that crazy doctor calls those things." There was another voice, but it was a female.
"Ok, but how do you know so much?" Tails asked.
"We saw Eggman create those things. Then one of our own attempted to take the formula that created the BM, but got caught nearly immediately by the doctor himself." the male voice said.
"Plus, two of us got captured and turned into one of those things while our leader got stabbed in the stomach and got knocked unconsious." The female said. "Our leader has survived many instances were he would've been killed, but it seems that luck appears to be on his side."
"Yeah, one of our friends got caught aswell and we are not too sure about two of our other friends aswell." Amy said.
Amy then thought of something "Hey, maybe if we get out of here, we could work together to defeat those things."
The two voices said nothing.
"Fine then." Amy said moving away from the bars.
"Be quiet." The male voice said.
"Why?" Knuckles asked, but then they could hear loud footsteps heading in their direction. "Oh"
The footsteps got closer and closer until Shadow (I changed my mind i'm just gonna call em' by their real name and put in brackets 'blade') came into view.
Amy, knuckles and Tails' eyes went wide open, but quickly recovered and looked away from Shadow (Blade).
Shadow (Blade) looked at the trio and then moved on to the cage beside them were the voices were.
Soon after Shadow (Blade) left and everything was fine.
"Geez, Shadow got caught." Tails said, sadly.
"One of your friends?" The female voice asked.
"Yeah, most likely our other friend got captured." Knuckles said.
"Shame, listen we have an idea to get out of this place and end this." the male voice said.
"Ok, we're listening." Tails said.
"First, we get out of here, secondly, we head to where those things came from and finally, those things seem to be extremely weak to heat and there fore we need something to heat up the entire base." The male voice explained the plan.
"Ok, I can understand how we do the second and third step, but how do we get out?" Amy asked.
"Simple." the male voice said.
Just then the lights went out, so dark that they can only see the eyes.
"Woah, did you do that?" Tails asked.
"Yep, this will make sure the alarm doesn't go off when we get out." the female voice said.
Just then the trio could hear a jail door open, then another one.
"What are you two doing?" Knuckles asked.
Then they noticed a red eye looking and that someone was handing them something.
"The things in your hands are flashlights, see if you can find the butto-" the female voice was cut off by Knuckles screaming like a girl, because he turned on the flashlight and saw the person with the red eye, but thankfully he was muffled out by the same person.
"Shut up!" the man whispered.
Tails and Amy then turned on their flashlights and saw a purple mobian female hedgehog and a cyborg tiger.
"Who are you two?" Amy asked.
"Viper." the female hedgehog said.
"Crawford." the cyborg tiger said.
"Ok, now that we know each other's names let's begin." Viper said, leaving the room.
Crawford soon followed and them Amy, Tail and Knuckles stuck close behind.
"Do you know which way to go?" Amy asked.
"Before we got caught, we hacked into Eggman's camera system and saw him create the BM, we also printed out a layout of his entire base." Viper said holding out a map, but the others had to shine their flashlights onto the map to see it.
"Alright, we make a left here." Viper said, just as the lights came on.
And as they came on, two blade men came into view in a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong hallway.
They looked at the group and rushed towards them, really quickly.
"Run!" Viper shouted.
They group left the hallway just as more Blade Men came into the loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-(THWACK!)
(Elsewhere)
Sonic, Rouge and Rover were up on a large tree and had a pair of binoculars up to their eyes and zoomed in on the entrance to Eggman's base.
"So this is the place?" Rover asked.
"Yep, this is where Eggman creates his technology, though I still don't know how he created those guys." Sonic said.
"I might know." Rover said. "Probably Fatman, must have had some sort of liquid in the thingy that created those things and during the process it must've been fused with the robot that Eggman originally intended to release on the over 6 billion world."
"Okay, so what do we do?" Rouge asked coming up beside Rover.
Rover put down the binoculars and looked around, before seeing a vent that was just big enough for the two of them thanks to a plot device. "There." He pointed to the vent.
The three sneaked over to the vent while being careful walking along the trees.
"Alright, ready?" Rover asked.
"Ready." Sonic said.
"Ready." Rouge said.
The three crawled into the vents just as Shadow (Blade) came out and looked in the direction were the trio went into the vents.
(Meanwhile)
Crawford, Viper, Amy, Tails and Knuckles are now in a workshop area, the same one where Eggman got his idea to make the Blade Men.
Crawford and Knuckles were barricading the door and then began to hold it shut just as the Blade Men started to bang hard on the door.
Viper, Amy and Tails are searching around the room to find something to use against the Blade Men.
"What have you guys found?!" Crawford shouted.
"Nothing yet!" Viper shouted back.
The bangs began to get louder.
Tails had found the blueprint of the Blade Men. "Hey I found something!"
Just then Crawford and Knuckles went flying towards the other three due to the barricade being broken and the door bursting open abruptly by the Blade Men.
The Group stared in shock as more Blade Men came into the room.
Everyone took a few steps back, except for Viper, who summoned a sword out of nowhere.
"Please put down your weapon and surrender, you Have 20 Seconds To Comply." The Blade Men said in unison.
"Yeah, Yeah I know about your stupid rule." Viper said.
"You Now Have 15 Seconds To Comply." The Blade Men said in unison again.
"Okay, but did you have to kill the civilians earlier?" Viper asked.
"Wait what?!" Amy, Knuckles and Tails shouted angrily at Viper then looked at Crawford.
"Uhh, drinks?" Crawford smiled nervously.
"You Have 5 Seconds to Comply." The Blade Men said in unison again for the third time!
"Yeah Yeah, shut up!" Viper shouted as her sword went on fire and she swung her sword at the Blade and managed to slice the head of off one of the Blade Men causing his head and body to melt once it had hit the ground.
"You have failed to Comply, Be Prepared to pass away within your final moment of life." The Remaining Blade Men said in unison, which means this is just going to happen over and over and over and over and- (THWACK!)
"Nah, I'm good." Viper said as she summoned another sword that was on fire and prepared to fight the Blade Men.
"Viper! What are you doing?!" Crawford shouted.
"Buying you time." Viper said as she cut off the arm Blade of another Blade Man. "Let's dance."
Blade Men began to rush towards Viper who was cutting off arms, legs, heads and even cutting some in half.
This however alerts more Blade Men to the groups location.
(Earlier)
Rover, Sonic and Rouge were still crawling in the vents still looking around for the right room to use the device.
"How long have we been crawling around for?" Rouge asked, at the very back.
"About a few minutes now, 4 at least." Rover said, at the front.
"Well this is a huge lab that Fatty Lobotnik has." Sonic pointed out.
They then heard a loud noise below them.
"What is that?" Rover asked.
"Probably Eggman is working on a new machine."
Just then, part of the ventilation came off and it was where Sonic was.
"Woah!" Sonic was about to fall, but Rover and Rouge caught his arms just in time.
Below there was Dr Eggman, but due to the noise, failed to notice the falling vent hitting the ground behind.
The noises stopped just as a couple of Blade Men came into view, once again failing to notice Sonic dangling from the vents, which was about 15 feet high.
"Ah, What do you want?!" Dr Eggman asked.
"Some of the prisoners have escaped their cells. May we proceed Action Number 2?" One of the Blade Men asked.
"Action Number 2? What is that?!" Eggman asked furiously.
The Blade Men didn't say anything, but instead raised their Blade high above their head.
Eggman's jaw slowly dropped as he realised what Action Number 2 was.
"You will not know what this action is." The Blade men said in unison.
"No, NO!" Eggman covered his face as the Blade men was about to strike.
Sonic looked down and thought of something.
"Sonic, don't you dare." Rouge said.
"I have to do something." Sonic said.
Sonic then let go of Rover and Rouge.
"No!" The pair shouted, but somehow for plot reasons the Blade Men didn't hear that, somehow.
"Goodbye, Doctor." The Blade Men were about to strike Eggman but Sonic homing attacked each of the Blade men back and then once each member was out of the room, Sonic quickly closed, locked and barricaded the door.
"S-Sonic!" Dr Eggman was in shock.
"Yes?" Sonic replied.
"Why did you do that?" Eggman asked, confused.
"Even though we're enemies, i'm not having anyone kill each other." Sonic explained. "Alright, it's fine!"
Rouge slowly floated down, while Rover just fell.
"AHHHH! (BANG!)" Rover landed hard on a crate. "I'm Okay. Ugh."
He went unconsious, while the other's just stared.
"Okay then. Egghead do you know how you caused them to have a mind of their own?" Sonic asked.
"I think it's because I added my intelligence to their brains and I think they saw everyone as you, since I told them to capture you, but I think they misheard and thought I said 'kill' instead of capture." Eggman explained.
"That might explain it." Rouge said. "But do you know that they can take over anyone with their powers. It happened to me once and Rover managed to turn me back to normal."
"Yep." Rover woke up. "I have the device with me."
Rover then pulled out a small square box with a button on it.
He pressed it and the box turned into the same big weapon that he used to turn Rouge back to normal.
"I was thinking, maybe if we attach this to your power source thingy, we might be able to turn everyone back to normal." Rover explained his theory.
"Okay, but the Blade Men are everywhere, I think
they are chasing your friends." Eggman said. "I think they were the ones who escaped their cells, including a cyborg tiger and purple female hedgehog."
Rover knew who he was talking about.
"Well then, let's get started." Rover said as he walked over to the door that was barricaded.
"No wait!" The others shouted, but that didn't stop Rover from opening the door, but the Blade Men weren't there.
"What? They were just there 2 minutes ago." Eggman said.
"Where could they have gone?" Rover asked turning around to see Eggman, while closing the door and still holding the weapon.
Suddenly a large blade went right through Rover's head and out his eye causing him to drop the weapon on the ground, spraying blood over the other's.
The others screamed in terror as the blade went back into the door, which opened revealing the Blade Men, one of which had Rover's blood on it's right arm.
Rover's body fell to the ground landing on the weapon and due to his weight caused it to break.
"Uh oh." The group gulped in fear.
(Meanwhile)
Viper was still holding off the Blade Men, while the others continued to think of a plan.
"Guy's! You need to think of a plan, now!" Viper shouted.
"We should get out of here!" Crawford shouted.
"Why?!" Viper shouted, continuing to fight off the Blade Men.
"We can't think of anything!" Tails shouted.
"Alright then!" Viper gave a hard push to the Blade Men and headed to the others.
"Let's go!" Crawford commanded.
They went through another door which was a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong hallway, with a few doors on each side.
"Come on!" Knuckles shouted while grabbing a pole for self defence.
The group ran down the hallway as fast as they can, but one of the side doors open and a Blade Man came out.
However, Knuckles used the pole to impale the Blade Man straight through the head, which caused it to fall down.
"Nice one." Amy said.
They continued to run, with Viper holding off the Blade men who were chasing them.
"We're nearly there!" Tails shouted.
Everyone except for Viper got to the door at the end and opened it, only to find Shadow (Blade) standing there.
Crawford quickly shut the door and then noticed one beside them. "This way!"
The group got through the door.
"Viper! Come on!" Crawford shouted.
"Coming!" Viper began to struggle holding off the Blade Men, but then one of the doors behind Viper burst open and more Blade Men came out.
"NO!" Crawford shouted.
"Just go!" Viper shouted back.
"I'm not leaving you!" Crawford ran out, but before he could do so, Shadow (Blade) came in and looked at Crawford with a menacing look.
"Damn!" Crawford Shut the door abruptly, just as the Blade Men began to circle in on Viper.
"Ugh! Come on then!" Viper shouted, before noticing a door beside her.
She opened it and to her luck, no one was there.
She went in, closed the door and turned around to see a loooooooooooooong hallway that was shorter than the other one.
"Thank goodness." Viper was relieved until a large blade went through the door and nearly hitting her in the shoulder. "EEP!"
She began to walk back slowly, until someone grabbed her and pulled her into a dark bit.
"Hey! Let me go!" Viper shouted.
"It's me!"
