Probably should have introduced myself on the first chapter! Hi! I'm 17, pretty into youtubers but not a massive fangirl (don't kill me pls), but I do like writing so I thought, why not combine the two!
Disclaimer: I do not own Dan or Phil…haven't even ever spoken to them. Phan is not real (as far as I am aware…you can never assume these things but there's no official coming out thing or anything).

PHIL'S POV

Phil's sleep was restless, and he couldn't stay asleep for longer than half an hour. He didn't know where Dan was and that worried him. All the worst thoughts spilled into his brain; his imagination was going wild. Or was it? Maybe he could just sense that something was wrong. Realising his phone was across the room charging, he reached for his mac. He switched it on to see if Dan had been on any social networking sites. Maybe that would give him some idea where Dan was, and if he was okay. He checked twitter, tumblr, facebook, reddit, gmail and pinterest. Dan had not been active on any of them. As a last resort, Phil checked YouTube. He highly doubted Dan would have uploaded a video; in fact he was pretty much certain. So when he saw the video entitled 'Dear Phil', his heart skipped a beat. Clicking on the thumbnail, it just couldn't load fast enough. It only had 33,000 views and that was unusual so it mustn't have been a scheduled video…

Nothing could have prepared Phil for what he saw next, and nothing in the world would make him sleep until Dan got home.

DAN'S POV

Dan was very aware that Phil was probably worried, and so when morning came, even though he'd only had 6 hours sleep, he packed up his stuff and headed home. PJ was still in bed, but Dan had no doubt that he'd hear from him later when he saw the video. Despite his apartment only being one tube stop away, it took him longer than usual to get home. First, he got the tube to Leicester Square, where he walked to a small jewellers just around from the Odeon. He loved it there. It was where he had bought Phil's last birthday present, and it was where he would be buying Phil's engagement ring.
"Hello," smiled the shop assistant, "is there anything you need help with?"
"Yeah, um…I need an engagement ring," Dan said, looking at the floor.
The shop assistant pointed to a vast range of women's rings that glittered under the spotlights in the casing. Dan faltered. "No…I need an engagement ring for my boyfriend."
"I'm so sorry!" blushed the assistant, "I really shouldn't assume. Anyway, those are over here. What sort are you looking for?"
"Silver, nothing too loud."
"Does he know you're proposing?"
"I'm pretty sure it's going to be a massive shock. We haven't really come out to all of our…friends yet." Dan smiled.
"Oh I think I recognize you actually. I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but you look like someone my niece watches on YouTube. She's forever talking about 'Dan and Phil'. Are you…Dan?"
Dan laughed, "yeah that's me."
"Wow, I'll not tell her mind you, because I know that she always says you two aren't out but 'Phan' is so real. What's Phan?"
"Ummm it's the combination of mine and Phil's name. People think we're in a relationship, which is true, but they don't know that yet. Well, I just put a video up explaining it, so I'm sure quite a few people know already, and it won't take long before it spreads!"
"That's so brave," admired the shop assistant, "so you'll need something special. How about this one?" She pointed towards the most beautiful, yet simple engagement ring, and Dan could immediately imagine it on Phil's slender fingers. "Yes," he grinned, "That's the one."

PHIL'S POV

Phil was still in shock when Dan got home early afternoon. He was lying in bed scrolling through the Phan tumblr tag when Dan came into his room.
"Have you seen my video?" Dan asked.
Phil nodded.
"Phil, we're going to Manchester for a little while. I can't explain it now but I've cancelled everything for the upcoming week. We're going to stay at your Mum's and I promise there's a reason but I can't explain right now."
"What's going on, Dan? What's wrong? You've changed your mind a lot since last night…" Phil stuttered.
"Yep. Just pack a bag. We'll be leaving later on. I didn't book the train too early because I knew you'd be tired. I guess you didn't sleep much last night?"
Phil was gobsmacked. "Dan…"
Dan suddenly let his guard down and sprinted towards Phil, climbing into bed next to him. "I love you Phil, and I'm sorry I didn't let you say anything before now. I wish I could turn the clock back and do it again…"
"Phil kissed his forehead. "It's fine, I understand. Thank you Dan. I mean it…thank you."
