The Adventures of Daniel Navarro Alternative for Chapter 1
"Kendall is so going to kill me!" Tyler said as he ran around the park; looking for his two kids five years old Daniel James Navarro and three years old Ashley Shelby Navarro. His wife Kendall was currently pregnant with their third child; they didn't know what they were going to have a boy or girl they wanted it to be a surprise even their family and friends didn't know. "Kendall is so going to kill me she's probably going to call me incompetent in watching the kids; she won't trust me ever again." Suddenly in the middle of the all the commotion and panic Tyler's phone rang in his pocket. Looking to see who it was Tyler's blood ran cold realizing the inevitable was nowhere in site; Tyler let out a long sigh he then opened the phone and said "Hi baby oh the kids their fine. Oh you want to talk to them well Kendall I sort of can't find them."
Seconds later Tyler pulled the phone away from his ear as his wife Kendall Navarro screamed yelled into the phone "What!"; then Kendall proceed to yell, scream and curse her husband Tyler out for not keeping an eye on the kids. After what seemed like forever Tyler hung up from talking with his wife; and seconds later heard two doses of laughter by the Daniel and Ashley Navarro were happily playing by the slide. They didn't hear their father's frantic shouts who was looking for them before their mother found out. But the two Navarro children were completely oblivious to the trouble heading their way; in the form of some mean older kids who didn't know the meaning of playing nice.
Suddenly out of nowhere an older boy held Ashley Navarro by her hair making her cry out. So being the older brother Daniel Navarro decided to step in; he walked up to the older boy and said "Leave my sister alone you big bully!" The bully in question and his other three friends just laughed and; the bully dropped Ashley on to the ground who was still crying hysterically. As the bully advanced on Daniel he said "And what are you going to do about it. Me and my friends just want to play by the slide and that doesn't include you brat!" Daniel Navarro felt nervous but he had no time to react before the bully pounced on him punching and kicking him all over his body.
Shortly after that the bully's three other friends joined in kicking and punching the little boy. Tyler was still frantically looking for his kids he didn't know what he was going to say or do to his wife Kendall Navarro; who was busy catching up on work at the museum. Then a child crying caught Tyler's attention making his way over to the slide; Tyler saw his daughter Ashley crying on the ground he then noticed four older kids beating his son Daniel. Feeling anger rise within him Tyler stepped in and pulled the older kids off his son; he then told them off and told them not to bother his son again. Grumbling in defeat the four bullies after much negotiation left hopefully never to be seen or heard from again. Tyler watched the bullies leave he then proceeded to pick up his son; and carrying him home with his daughter Ashley following close behind.
As Kendall walked up to the door of her home she was glad to get all that paperwork done; now she had all the time in the world to spend with her kids. Upon entering her home Kendall noticed her house was eerily quiet; which was quite odd because when you have two hyperactive kids in the house the house is never quite. As Kendall neared the kitchen she heard Daniel's voice say "that hurts daddy!" Then Kendall heard Tyler's voice say "I am sorry buddy but it's going to sting a bit." Kendall thought that was quite odd " why would Tyler say something like that" she thought to herself. When she entered the kitchen Kendall gasped and dropped everything she had in her arms and ran to Daniel and demanded to know what happened.
Tyler told his wife everything that Daniel protected his sister Ashley from four bullies in the park near the slide. Putting the first aid kit away under the sink in the kitchen; Tyler also told his wife that he put Ashley down for a nap. "Those mean bullies grabbed Ashley by her hair mommy. I had to do something!" Daniel Navarro wailed. Gathering Daniel into her arms Kendall tried her very best to calm down her distraught son in her arms.
