I decided to change things a little bit, so there's no pairing in this chapter, at least in the traditional sense, this is a once-sided romance.

Life is full of surprises…
Now she fights alongside those who once were her enemies, no, the enemies of her master…
But things where not as she had expected…
There were no hateful glances or quiet murmurs of hateful words, no, instead they were kind and friendly to her, and she was friendly to those who were nice to her, if not a little sarcastic at times.
The biggest surprise however was the fact that she quite enjoyed her new life with the army; she was fighting for the greater good now. Even if most of her time was spend in taking care of her Pegasus, taking long relaxing baths or teasing Robin about how she was more useful to Chrom as a tactician (she quite enjoyed that).
She was glad to be alive…
However not everything was well…
More often than not she finds her attention drawn to a certain individual in the army. At first she thought nothing of it; it was nothing more than a momentary fascination with said individual.
Or at least, that's what she wanted to believe…
And yet she could not deny that she was certainly fascinated by him…
Sometimes she would see him train from afar, she quite enjoyed watching his training and the way he moved as one with his sword, no wasted movement, and every strike was carefully practiced.
During her time under the control of Validar she was trained to read every man, to seduce and use them until they were no longer required.
Yet, all her beauty, all her experience in the art of seduction was useless in her current situation.
He was already married…
Still, that did not stop her feelings…
It did not stop the pain in her chest every time she saw him embrace his wife, knowing that if things had gone differently she could be the one in his arms.
But that was only a dream…
There was far too much blood on her hands and she had committed too many sins…
There was no time for love; her only goal was redemption…
And with that in mind she moved forward, no looking back, no regrets…
Every battle, every enemy slain, every life saved was a step forward and away from the darkness that she once was lost in.
When the war ends and the world's safe once again they part ways, life goes on…
And she likes to think that, in helping save the world some of her sins have been forgiven, she's not foolish enough to believe that she had been redeemed. There was still too much to be done.

She wandered around for a time, hiding her identity under a hooded cloak, her Pegasus was her only companion. During her aimless journey she was always alert to those who where in need of help, by it a village being harassed by bandits to helping mercenaries protect merchant caravans.
One year went by in the blink of an eye…
But her love for that man was still strong…
Eventually she realized that she could not wander aimlessly forever…
It was time to return to the place where everything changed for her, the home that she lost a long time ago.
Much to her surprise she found a small lively village instead of ruins, men and women working small farming fields, and children playing in the center of the village. The people were nice and kind, they had no problem in helping her build a small house in the edge of the town.
While she was opposed to working in the fields, she became the official curator of the village, her experience in potions and healing staffs was put to good use.
She had finally found a please to live peacefully…

Having reclaimed the truth, Aversa returned to the town of her birth and started life anew-as if making up for the time that was stolen from her. Every day she would stand in the hills near her town watching the sunset, the face of the man she loved always on her mind.
As the sun sinks in the horizon a sad smile finds its way into her lips…
