As Izuku and Katsuri ran out of the tunnel, the thing chasing Izuku was revealed. A blob of dark green/black slime travelled across the ground, and stretched out, showing a smiling face made of lighter colored slime.

"Deku, get the hell out of here! I can handle this bitch." Katsuri said, extending her arms, light playing across her palms.

"Kacchan, you can't handle that thing, you'll get killed!"

"Since when did you know what I can and can't handle, you quirkless cunt!"

"If you're staying, then I am too."

"Fine. just keep out of my way and watch while I mop the floor with this pile of shit."

Katsuri dashed towards the slime, propelling herself forward with explosions. She collided with the slime, but was swallowed up by the inkyness.

"Kacchan! Oh fuck."

Izuku's yelling had attracted the attention of the mass, and it started quickly crawling towards him. He ran, but the slime was on top of him in seconds, smothering his screams.

I guess this is the end. I'm going to die.

And, on the word "die" everything went black, and the last thing Izuku saw in his mind was a green and red flame flaring up.

Katsuri felt almost nothing as the slime collected around her. Even after, all she felt was a detached sadness. She was dying, but she had done everything she could to stop it. Why hadn't it had been enough?

But, as she thought these things, the oppressive shadows around her left.

She opened her eyes, and saw the area just outside the old subway. what was she doing here? She remembered then, and looked around for the sludge that attacked her and Izuku. The slime was nowhere to be found, thankfully.

Wait, what about Izuku?

He was lying behind her, sweating like he had just run a marathon.

"Deku?"

"Y-Yeah Kacchan?"

"Where's the slime thing?"

He gestured into the tunnel.

"I think I killed it."

"What? Deku, your quirkless ass couldn't kill a roach."

"I don't think I'm quirkless anymore."
