Chapter 2

Dante stirred awake when a thin strip of light shown through his tent. He sat up stretching his back while yawning loudly. Clipping his necklace around his neck, Dante stepped out of his tent into the camp. Pokemon roamed the camp aimlessly, some chatting with others and some relaxing next to their tents trying to entertain themselves. He headed for the recon tent of the camp, a lengthy, huge tent on the left side camp. It's mainly used to gather information about prime targets or to communicate with other camps around the area. Dante was met with dozens of computers and keyboards being used at once when he entered the tent. Two rows of computers lined up horizontally in the tent and in the front was a zoroark, sitting behind a half circle desk with three computers, with a microphone wrapped around his face. Behind him was a huge tv screen with pictures and information of different pokemon and humans flowing across screen. The zoroark had his head down with both feet on the table in front of him.

"Yo Dante!" Felix was waving his hand while leaning back on his chair. Dante maneuvered around the wires and computers to finally reach Felix at the far right of the first row of computers.

"Hey," He sat down in a chair next to where Felix was stationed at.

"Here, breakfast." Felix threw an apple to Dante.

"Um, thanks?" Dante bit in the apple. Looking around the room, he questioned with his mouth full, "so what we doing today?"

"We're going to the bank to get some money they owe us." Felix stated blankly.

"Wait, what? I thought it was the other camps jobs to collect the debt."

"Ya it is, but the major rise of attacks on clan members are keeping the other camps busy. So they told us to collect the money for them." Felix grabbed a paper and started walking out of the tent.

Dante threw the apple at a nearby trash and ran out to catch up to Felix who was heading towards the edge of camp. He ran up beside him, "Whats the first bank we are going to then?"

Felix took a peek inside the papers, "Its some bank called Solbank. The CEO named Robert owes 10,000 dollars for security purposes." Felix and Dante appeared in a dark alley with a white van parked after disappearing in a puff of smoke.

"Alright so how many banks we have to hit then?" Dante asked covering his nose from the strong smell of trash.

Felix entered the parked van to start hot wiring the van. "Ten banks I think." The van's engine engine crackled to life, "hop in." Felix and Dante jumped into the van and drove off to Solbank.

"So why we're doing this again?" Dante complained bored.Felix was covering his mouth with his arm laid on the door while the other one steering. His eyes seemed distant, or confused. "Felix you're there?" Dante asked bothered after Felix stood up strait.

Felix shook his head lightly and placed his two paws on the wheel, "There was some sort of recent rise in attacks on clan members. Members are getting ambushed from ten or twenty other people."

"But can't we find out when they are attacking?"

Felix shook his head gradually, "Nope. They're getting smarter faster than we thought." Felix chuckled, "they're making recon look retarded."

"Oh," Dante stated confused, "but how can they fin-"

"Look, I don't know," Felix sighed, "The only thing I know is they're killing more of us and its harder to find more of them. Shut up now we're here."

"Oh, ok then." Dante whispered to himself. They stopped in front of a building teeming with both people and pokemon in business suits. An electronic sign wrapped around the building showing the current stock rising and falling constantly. Dante and Felix left and entered the bank. Soft conversations of strolling bankers filled the lobby. The accountants table was arranged in the middle of the room while one two door elevator was at the far end of the lobby. Approaching a gardevoir working at the front desk, Felix relaxed on the desk, "You know where your boss is at?"

The gardevoir gave an irritated expression at Felix, "He's not here."

"You sure?" Felix asked with a hint of annoyance in his words.

"Yes i'm sure, now leave or i'm call security,"the gardevoir said with phone in hand.

Felix peaked behind the gardevoir to notice two human guards chatting near the elevator, "Mmk, bye then." He rushed past the desk in a hurry, leaving Dante alone with the gardevoir.

Dante pushed threw a crowd of bankers to reach Felix staring at the guards, "You know, you should stop leaving me behind places. Its-"

"Quiet," Felix started fiddling with his fingers, "when the elevator opens again, I want you to run inside."

Dante barely took notice of the two guards, "What about the two guards?"

"Hurry up," Dante was shoved when a light ding was heard ahead.

He swatted behind him annoyed, "Ok ok. Whatever." Waiting for the door to slide open, Dante stood cautious for the perfect time to run inside. A light ding was heard through the lobby, making Dante sprint past the group of people leaving the elevator.

The two guards stopped their conversation abruptly and blocked the entrance trying to reach Dante, "Hey you ca-" The two guards harshly gripped Dante's arm but lost their grip when a searing pain started at their sides.

"AH-" The guards tried to fight back against who was causing the pain, but were silenced when they were pushed against the wall, making a sizzling sound from where the pain was located.

Felix stood in front of the guards staring blankly at them. "Close the elevator."

From the side of the elevator, Dante snapped back to his senses, blocking Felix from view with his body and sent the elevator to the last floor. One guard cocked back his gun but soon failed when Felix kicked the gun from his hand and kicked his nose to the side. "AH." The guard yelled while trying covering his bleeding nose.

Felix tossed the gun towards Dante and kicked the guard in the gut. "DONT EVER PULL A FUCKING GUN AT ME AGAIN, OK?!" Felix yelled pointing at the moaning guard. He swung at his face, making more blood gush on his uniform, "RESPOND DAMMIT!?"

"ye-yees! ple-ase stop," the guard panted through his hard breaths. Both guards were trying to cover their wounds trying to stop the burning pain. Felix swung at the guard's temple but was Dante caught his arm.

"Stop, he was just defending himself. Let's just get our money and leave, ok?"

Felix yanked his hand free, "Whatever, he's not worth it." He crossed his arms and faced the door, tapping his foot. His chest notably heaving his chest. Felix always had a short temper with others. If a person or pokemon aggravated him or annoyed him in some way, he would find a way to prevent them from further causing his anger, even if it causes injury to them.

A ding was heard. "Lets go." Felix hurried out of the elevator into a small hallway that led to double wooden doors.

"What 'bout them?" Dante pointed at the unconscious guards.

Felix hesitated, grunting something under his breath, but entered back in the elevator, "Leave them in the hallway. We'll call an ambulance if they're still alive later." The unconscious guards were dragged off to the side of the hallway.

"Alright lets go," Dante was about to knock on the wooden door but was instead slapped behind the head, "what the hel-"

"Shut up, they might hear you," whispered Felix studying the door for something.

"Why'd you do that for," hissed Dante.

"Cause we aren't suppose to be here anyways. I don't want the guy on the other side calling security. We already almost killed two of them."

"What you mean we? You the one that stabbed them!" Dante muttered trying to get Felix's attention, but it was of no use. "Whatever just hurry up." the irritated lucario stated blankly while Felix continued to pat the door.

"Can't find anything to open the door it seems." He walked over to the laying guards and threw one of their guns at Dante, Felix keeping the second.

Felix took a deep breath, "Guess we'll force it open," he said cocking back the gun.

Dante snickered to himself while he toyed with the gun, "Firing a gun while trying not to get caught, genius. "

Felix didn't respond, but instead knelt in front of the knob, "I'm not going to start shooting immediately, I'm just going to burn the lock open." Felix started fiddling with the base of the knob, "But don't let him near any form of communication, shoot his hand or something if he tries to."

"Fine." Dante stood behind him with his arms crossed, hearing a couple clicks here and there. After a small, but faint snap, a small flicker was seen in front of Felix.

"Go." He barged the door open with his shoulder, gun raised, followed with Dante close behind.

A Lucario in a suit was seated in the middle of a cleared desk. Two heads of two Lucarios were seen huddles near the Lucario in the suit. The Lucario patted softly both of the kneeling Lucarios' head, causing them to huddle closer. "I think you two girls should leave." Both rushed their way to the door but were stopped by a barrel pointed at them. One pulled herself closer to the other Lucario's arm in response, a noticeable shake in her grip.

"No sit the down on the wall! No one's leaving this room until we're done." Felix said waving his gun at the side wall. The Lucario rushed down to the wall, huddling close to each other for comfort. A faint sob was heard from one of the Lucarios, causing Dante to worry.

"What you want? We can work something out," the Lucario smiled while flicking his head to the huddled Lucarios.

Felix stared at the Lucarios with an empty look, causing one of them to whimper. He came back to his senses soon after, leveling his gun,"Stop it! Give us the damn fee for the clan!"

The Lucario's eyes narrowed on Felix, "What? You're here for that? I already payed for the dam thing already! Now leave or i'll call sec-"

Felix fired a shot at the Lucario's desk, causing the Lucario to jump back in fright to his chair, "Don't play fucking games with me! Give us the money or you guys are going to have fun playing around in hell!"

Dante started roaming around the room when he lost interest in the current situation until a bunched up group of frames caught his attention. Whats that? He unhooked a frame and noticed it only contained a blank page. Wait a second. A paper fell when he pulled the back out. The heck, Dante picked up the paper to realize a writing. 'I love you babe! I don't know what i'll ever do without you!' was written sloppily. What's this. Dante flipped the paper to reveal a photo of a Lucario and a Luxray and Riolus. A sleeping Lucario was seated on a couch with a Luxary snuggled comfortably on the Lucario's chest. Both a Riolu and a Luxio were curled up closely to the Lucario's legs with a small smile on their face. Something about this photo was bothering though, or in other words, seemed familiar to Dante. Nothing caught his eye though, nothing was wrong or stood out, it seemed like any other photo.Wait isn't that-, Dante's breath hardened in realization, That son of -

"Look can't we work anything out? Like - ," Dante ran in front of the arguing duo and yanked the Lucario's tie forward, having his head slam on the table. Felix stood back silent, trying to compute the sudden action by Dante, "AH, WHATS-"

Dante forced down a knife behind the Lucario's ears, the photo crushed in the other hand, "Say another word. I, dare, you," he gritted threw his teeth.

"Please, let go-"

Dante added more pressure on his ears, now slightly piercing through skin, "SHUT THE HELL UP! YOU WORTHLES, GOOD, FOR NOTHIN-"

"STOP PLEASE!" Yelled the Lucario, swatting at him to stop.

Felix shoved Dante behind him, "The hell is wrong with you?! You were about to cut off his ears!"

Dante paused not knowing what to do. Nothing else was on his mind in that moment except injuring that Lucario for what he was doing. He glared behind Felix at the Lucario covering his ears.

"So? Why the hell you did that?" Felix asked.

Dante took a shaky breath and threw the photo at Felix, "I'm leaving. Do what ever the hell you want to them." He rushed out to the elevator and pressed the button for the lobby, leaving Felix not knowing what to make of the situation.

Dante slammed the door to the van with strength. "GAH," he punched the dashboard of the car, leaving a noticeably large dent. He was starting to get light headed from all that has happened, but his hands were still raised as if he was starting in a fight. Eventually, Dante's mind eased down. He tried to relax on the seat, trying to forget about everything around him. His focus on cars passing by kept his head cool for a while, making it seem if time was slowing down. Dante closed his eyes to try to escape into his sleep.Sadly, concentrating to sleep was a troublesome task, trying to empty his brain of everything pulls memorizes to him more, most, if not all, something he wishes to forget. But, the prize of escaping from the outside world for a short period to a place much more pleasant to his own, out ways the consequences to get there.
