It's been at least 2 months, Emma didn't know the difference. Emma was in terrible condition, she had learned how to spit out basic needs and learned how to walk with braces. She had no visitors due to the policy. No family or friends were allowed to visit during the first 2 months of treatment. Today, Regina had made plans to meet with Emma, one-on-one. Emma was asleep in her bed when a man dressed in white scrubs walked in.

"Swan, you've got a visitor," he spoke as he shook her gently. Emma's eyes flew open and she yawned. "Here's your braces," the man said as he was handing her the braces to help her walk. "Come to the meeting room when you're ready." Emma got the jist of what he was saying. She slowly got changed into some simple scrubs before making her way to the meeting room. When she walked through the open doors she saw a woman. She stopped in her tracks as she took in her appearance. Short, dark brown hair, brown eyes, olive toned skin, full lips with a small scar above, a white shirt that has been stretched a bit from the woman's stomach, black jeans and flats. Emma took a deep breath in, she thought this woman was beautiful. But she could sense something was off about her.

Emma slowly, carefully made her way over to Regina, watching very closely as to what she was doing with her legs so she didn't trip and make a fool out of herself in front of the drop dead gorgeous woman. She let her braces rest on one of the chairs as she sat down, again very very carefully. Emma looked at Regina and smiled softly.

"H-Hi," Emma said, again careful not to mix her words up. Using them in front of someone different was horrifying. She didn't want to embarrass herself.

"Hello Emma," Regina spoke as she pursed her lips together. Seeing her wife like this hurt her a bit, she didn't wish ill upon Emma ever, but here she was, barely able to talk or walk. Regina kept a straight face at Emma while Emma studied her face.

"You don't like me," Emma finally said after a few moments of silence. She had flashbacks to the woman and her fighting and arguing, the brunette saying hurtful things to her. Regina was drawn back at what Emma had just said.

"What do you mean dear? I like you."

"I remember. You always get angry with me."

"We just don't see eye to eye sometimes, that's all. What else do you remember, Emma? What are you remembering?"

"I forget," Emma said plainly as she looked down. "You don't have to be here, I can tell you don't want to."

"Emma, darling I want to make sure you're okay. Honey, I need you to remember who you are."

"I do know who I am. I'm Emma Swan, I'm a sheriff."

"Yes Emma, but there's much more to it than that, you have a family."

"Family? I can't even teach myself how to walk properly, I'm better off alone," Emma said softly which broke Regina's heart.

"Emma, we will get you to stop self sabotaging. You have 4 beautiful children, soon to be 5," Regina put a hand on her protruding stomach. Emma looked at her confused.

"Wait, who are you?"

"I'm Regina, I'm your wife," Emma looked puzzled. She was actually married to this beauty? She had almost 5 kids with her. Emma let tears fall out of frustration because she couldn't feel anything towards Regina, she couldn't remember anything about her. Regina reached out with a tissue and wiped Emma's tears. "Don't cry, it's alright. We'll get you to remember." Emma nodded softly before grabbing her braces and standing up. Regina watched the blonde walk away with little difficulty. This was a fucked up situation, but Regina swore she would do anything in her power to make it right.
