That was two and a half years ago today. It takes a while to plan a wedding and extra-long to plan a wedding that suits the interests of two people. Though, it helps when those two have been best friends nearly all their lives. They both wanted a traditional wedding with a something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a penny in your shoe sort of thing.
For their something blue the both of them went out and picked blue hydrangeas then used the small flowers to make matching headpieces and the large flowers for their bouquets. For their something borrowed they wore the others heart shaped friendship bracelet with their initials on it, CeCe wore the J bracelet and Jess wore the C bracelet. For their something new they got matching high heels and for their something old they wore their mother's veils.
Their dresses were perfect for their personalities. CeCe wore a strapless floor-length Vera Wang dress with an empire waist-style mint green sash and Jess wore a sleeved knee length surplice style dress with a pink sash around the waist.
For their reception there would be chicken cordon bleu or chicken parmesan and for desert a crème brûlée. They wrote their own vows and would be each other's maid of honor.
"CeCe I'm scared. What if marriage just pushes us further apart?"
CeCe just kind of chuckled "Jess are you worried about us growing apart or you and Nick growing apart?"
"Both" Jess squeaked
"Oh Jess, don't worry that will never happen."
"I guess," Jess said as sah pushed her flower headband through her hair and bobby pinned it to her mother's veil.
Nadia stuck her head through the door "Limo is here."
They each grabbed the others veil and pulled it over their face.
"I guess it's time to go" Jess said.
