Once upon a time⦠that's how every fairytale start, but not the real world. We don't have fairy-god mothers, dragons, or elves. We don't even have princes that love you for the real you; they only love you if you too are royalty. Yet, here I am living the life I never thought I would be living a year ago. I would tell you what is going on, but I don't want to give to much away. So, why don't we start from the beginning.
It all started when my mother died from cancer when I was only three years old. My parents were trying for another baby when my mom couldn't get pregnant. They were worried, so she went to see a doctor only to find out that she had ovarian cancer. The cancer was already spreading and she died just a few months later. My father was devastated and few years later he decided I needed a mother, so he remarried. Now I had a new step mother and two new step sisters.
Then something else happened. My father then got into a car crash; he died at the hospital only 30 minutes after we got there. His last words were "I love you Dani." This is why, I tell myself, Heather hates me; all because he said his last words to me.
My step sisters got my room and I got the attic; I was pretty much there servant. The oldest sister, Hailey, controlled everything her sister, Holly, did. You see, my life is a lot like my favorite fairytale Cinderella, but in my story the only happily ever after there will be is Hailey's. or so I thought until six months ago.
