Chapter 1
As I started talking to him (his name is Alexander) we soon realized we could win these games if we worked together. "Alex," I called out to him in the pitch darkness of the night. "Yeah," he soon replied, "I'm scared what if we don't win or I never see my family again and what will happen if we d-die?" "Don't worry about it, you have me don't you?" he said in the lay backed way he was, "now go to sleep ok?" "Ok, goodnight!"
Waking up the next morning I could he someone nearby laughing and carrying on and on about his stupid partner and how he just liked her since she was good, and that he was going to kill her the first chance he had! I turned around to realize that Alexander was gone. Soon I heard rustling in the bushes in the same direction the voices once were. I pretended to be asleep, but Alex woke me up saying he went out to get us some breakfast. After we ate I said I didn't want him to help anymore and he asked me, "why not?" I responded angrily, "I overheard you and whoever else talking about me and how you would kill me!" Sure I said that but only to get away from the kid in district 6 he was going to kill me if I didn't say I would kill you for him, but of course I won't you're too pretty to kill!" "So will you stay?" "YES!" Next thing we knew we were face to face with the kids from district 1 pointing guns at our heads!
"Don't shoot," I cried!
