The surgery took about an hour to complete, since they were performing both brain and heart surgery to place Mordecai's brain and heart into the robotic body. Before the surgery, all the other doctors signed forms saying they will not repeat what happened during that hour and had the records at the hospitable changed to make it seem either like a miracle or tragedy. After they were done, they moved Mordecai back into his room and activated him. They placed a heart monitor on his chest and waited, but all they heard was the beep of a flat line. They all shook their heads in disappointment and Rigby went to turn the monitor off. Just before Rigby flicked the switch, the tone changed to show that Mordecai's heart was beating. They all were cheering and celebrated Rigby as both a genius and hero. He whipped away tears of joy and walked out the room. He headed to his bosses' office and returned his coat, saying, "I'm no longer needed here".
Mordecai slowly opened his eyes. At first he couldn't see anything, then everything got clearer. The first thing he saw was his friends' happy face, he groaned and asked, "Rigby". Rigby started welling up with tears of joy, and then he answered, "Yeah"? Mordecai was weird-ed out by this and asked, "Where am I"? Rigby chuckled and said, "You're in the hospitable". Mordecai looked around and asked, "Why am I here"? Rigby then explained how Muscle Man had put Mordecai in a coma, when he heard this Mordecai asked, "How long was I in a coma"? Rigby looked away, not wanting to answer his question, he then decided to tell him, "Uh… two years and four months". Mordecai zoned out, lost in thought. 'Two years! What happened while I was out, what has changed?' Mordecai thought, in shock that he was in a coma for that long. Rigby then caught his attention, "Nothing has changed except for that those guys Chad and Jeremy now work at the park and that Margaret"… Rigby stopped, not knowing what to say, causing Mordecai to fear for the worse. "What happened to Margaret? Is she ok!" he asked, fear obvious in his voice. Rigby then said, "Oh, she's ok. It's just that I found out she… is in love with you". Mordecai zoned out again, then he smiled like an idiot. Rigby started to leave and said, "I'll leave you to think, and I have to sign your release papers".
Rigby loaded Mordecai into the truck before putting his wheel chair in the back. Mordecai couldn't use his legs since the muscles in them haven't been used in two years, but Rigby knew the real reason: Mordecai's brain doesn't have control over the lower half of his new body yet. Rigby drove him to the park where everybody was waiting; Rigby had called them and told them about the "miracle". After pulling up at the front, grabbing the wheel chair and putting Mordecai in it; everybody swarmed him, excited to see their friend again. Muscle man told him how he was sorry for putting him in a coma while the others said how they missed him and it hasn't been the same without him. Jeremy and Chad went to Benson, asking about their jobs, which answered, "Well, you're no longer employees but I can offer you an internship if you like"? They agreed and were now truly part of the park crew. As Mordecai was talking, he noticed something at the back of the group. As everyone got out of the way Mordecai saw what, or who it was. He saw the love of his life, the Robin Margaret, walking towards him. His heart was racing, he then said, "Margaret, I, uh… I". Mordecai felt like an idiot, but then was caught off when she said, "I know". He didn't know what she was talking about, but then understood when she pulled him into a kiss. Watching from a distance, Rigby was happy for his friend but was feeling awkward about this. 'How long can I lie to him?' Rigby thought, feeling strangely upset.
Hope you thought it was good, I might not update for a while because I'm upset about the original Spock Leonard Nimoy has passed on... I hope he lived long and prospered... FIRST ROBBY WILLIAM'S NOW LEONARD! :(
