Aria found herself back in the fields where she was hanging around at previously. Despite the orders she was given, there were still some things that were on her mind from earlier.
She was curious at what her god said about it not allowing Xorz to touch the Tamaranean species. Why was this though? It wasn't like Xorz hadn't destroyed many species before already, so what made the Tamaraneans any different to have avoided his destructive wrath for so long? These thoughts rushed through her head as she couldn't help but feel slight pity on the fate that was about to befall on the Tamaraneans, but it was no concern to her really. She was given an order by her master, and as one of his elite "Heavenly Kings," she had to obey his wishes. After all, he always knew what was best for everyone, and she wasn't going to question him after everything he had done for her.
Aria surpassed her feelings for the time being as she had to focus on the current mission at hand. She was about to use her magical abilities to travel between different sections in the dimension when a portal had appeared in front of her, surprising her. She knew who it was that opened one for her.
Her god must had really been in a good mood right now if he's using some of his own power to assist her. Even though she didn't need him to do this, she couldn't argue with him since this was another example of her god treating her well.
She softy smiled as she stepped through the portal, teleporting to another different place in the dimension.
Coming out through the other side of the portal, Aria found herself on top of a rocky plateau with tons of mountains all around her. In front of the her was an angelic Starship of exquisite beauty that was shaped like a Veiltail Goldfish. It was big as a mountain and armored down to the tail with many eyes, and extravagant yellow-plates. There was also a big staircase that lead directly inside the behemoth Starship.
The eyes from the Goldfish all looked at her, noticing her presence. Standing on the side of the staircase before Aria was a skinny, mechanical bipedal angel with an head shaped like a eagle. It was stylishly dressed in yellow clothing with long robes that stretched to the ground. It posssed a halo with an enodican symbol that look like a "H" that represented God's purity. The angel noticed Aria walking towards it with a surprising look on its face.
"Oh Aria, fancy seeing you here." The angelic entity said.
"Spare me the greeting general. Where is he?" Aria replied.
"If you're looking for Xorz, he's still at his domain. Probably storing up as much energy as he can before he leaves, which I understand. We were going to get him, but since you're here I guess the Creator wants you to do it instead?"
"You aren't wrong."
"Well, that's fine I guess. Me and the others will start up the ship, but don't take all day. Some pretty big things are going to happen soo-"
The angel felt something tighten around its mouth preventing it from speaking. It was surprised, looking at Aria, who used her magic to shut the robot up.
"Ok, let's get one thing straight you mechanical hunch of bolts. You may be the general of the Malakhim angels, but you seem to forget who your superior is and my position in God's system. You may be used to ordering other angels around in your sphere given YOUR rank, but it won't be me. You're a lowly 4th sphere angel and if you keep it up, I'll turn you into scrap metal!"
The angel instantly grew fearful at the mention that Aria would turn it to scraps. It remembered the last general before it that ticked her off. It didn't end well for the previous angel.
Aria finally release her magical bonds on the angel, allowing it to speak again.
"My…apologies Aria. I didn't mean to be rude."
"Apologize accepted. Now tell me, what did you mean when you said that some big things were about to happen?" Aria firmly asked.
The angelic general was silent. Aria noticed this and wondered why it went quiet so suddenly.
"What? What is it?"
"...I see. So the Creator hasn't told you yet."
"Huh? What are you talking about? Is there something Sazroz is keeping from me?"
The angel went silent once again.
"Well!?" Aria yelled, getting slightly annoyed.
"...Tell me Aria. How much do you know about what is going on?" The angel responded.
Aria didn't know how to respond to the general's question. She really didn't know a thing on what the angel was talking about.
"Uh...well, I know that Tamaran was the next planet up to be destroyed today as part of Sazroz's universal plan to clean up the Universe of trash and dying species. We wiped out over 19,000 such worlds already. What more do I not know?"
"Hm. I think it'll be best if you ask him yourself. I hate to say this, but can we please get the ball rolling already? Time is of the essence and I have a job to do just as you do." The general boldly said.
Aria was getting more annoyed now that the general was trying to order her around again, but at least it did say please this time. Aria sighed to herself as she went ahead and did what it wanted her too for both their sakes.
"Ok, just give me a minute or two." Aria calmly said before opening up a portal that lead to the domain of Xorz's.
It was the middle of the night at Titan's Tower. Everyone was quietly asleep in their beds without making much as a sound...well, almost everyone.
In Starfire's room, the Tamaranean princess was sweating profoundly as her eyes were twitching. Inside of her head, she was experiencing something horrible.
In a village located in an rainforest in the middle of nowhere, Starfire woke up on a bed in a small, wooden hut.
"Where am I?" She wondered with a feeling of grogginess over her.
Starfire immediately checked her surroundings to find out where she was. She was no doubt in a hut, but where exactly was she?
Starfire didn't know how she got here, but she did hear the sounds of children singing and playing along with other people outside the hut. She must had been in a village filled with people. Even though she knew she was dreaming, it wouldn't hurt to pay the locals of this place a visit to figure out where she was.
She got up from her bed to find the door right in front of her. When Starfire finally got to the door to open it, hearing the sounds of the children getting louder, her eyes immediately widen in shock as she came across an horrifyingly sight she wished she didn't see.
The entire village was on fire. Everything was on fire. Starfire found herself in a hellish place that was unlike anything she's seen before since Trigon attacked Earth. The skies were dark from the many flames and smoke that engulfed everything.
What's going on here!? she thought. What made things even more horrifying for her was the hundreds of bodies that were littered all over the village.
All of the villagers had been killed in latitudes of brutal ways from what she saw. Some of the bodies she saw were burned to a crisp beyond recognition, some were covered in slashes and claw marks, and some of them were completely ripped to pieces. There were others that were killed in other ways, but it was too much for Starfire to take in. Starfire felt disgusted from what she was seeing, and couldn't help but close her eyes as she couldn't stand seeing all the carnage.
Starfire could tell that they were the inhabitants of this village. The villagers had the humanoid appearance of felines from what she could see. Starfire didn't know exactly who they were, but who or what could have done this to them in such a horrific matter?
She would soon get her answer when suddenly a whirlwind of blue fire engulfed her and the entire village in darkness. Starfire could barely see anything going on around her as the dust, wind, and debris made it near impossible.
Even though she had a hard time seeing what was going on, Starfire could still somewhat see what was around her due that her own species were descended from felines, so her perception on seeing things in the dark were much greater than normal people.
Starfire was starting to feel anxious as she began to hear footsteps come from behind her getting ever closer and closer. She could hear it coming. Quickly turning around, she came face to face with something that would only intensify that nervousness. She saw the ghostly apparition of an dark, blue figure with hollow, blue eyes that felt like they were cutting a hole in her soul, wrapped in torrents of blue flames.
Starfire was in awe by the presence of this strange entity. Was this the being that was responsible for all the deaths and destruction of the villagers? Whatever the case was, she could definitely feel that something wasn't right about this being that was deciding to meet her face to face.
Starfire charged up her hands with Starbolt energy, preparing herself for a possible fight with this mysterious entity.
"Who are you?" Starfire cautiously asked.
The entity didn't respond to her question. It just simply stood where it landed in front of her, staring at her ominously as if it was analyzing her. This in turn, was creeping Starfire out due that it wasn't even trying to say anything to her, but what it did next was something she didn't expect.
"Soon." The entity eerily uttered.
Starfire was surprised and confused by what the being just said. What did it mean by that?
Suddenly out of nowhere the entity fired a big blast of fire from its mouth at the Tamaranean princess. Starfire gasped in horror as she saw the torrents of fire heading for her at a super fast velocity.
"NO!"
Starfire immediately snapped herself out of her sleep finding herself back in her bedroom next to Silkie asleep in her bed. She was breathing heavily, feeling the heart in her chest pounding from what she just seen and experienced. She wiped the sweat from her face and sighed.
"Why are these dreams happening to me?"
Starfire had just gotten another unsettling nightmare involving that...monstrosity again. It had to be the same entity from the last dream she had. It had to be, but she never expected it to appear to her in that shape.
The dreams she's been having over the past three days have began to plague her, and two of them involve that mysterious entity of fire in some way, but this particular nightmare she just had was the creepiest one yet.
The first dream she had was minor in comparison to this one and the dream before that. Starfire didn't think much of it at first because everyone has nightmares every once and awhile and she was no different, despite that her dreams are usually happy and cheerful. She thought that it was nothing, but these dreams were happening too often now, and it was beginning to get to her mentally.
At this point she had to tell someone about these nightmares that kept occurring. Whatever this entity was, real or not, it's been tormenting her for awhile now, and she couldn't deal with it anymore. Maybe Raven could help her with this problem since she knew the girl was good at this sort of thing, but there was one thing that bugged her.
Was the nightmares she was having random and completely meant nothing at all, or was there more to them that she wasn't understanding? What did that blue entity meant when it said "soon?" Hopefully Raven would be able to help her solve this, and maybe get rid of these nightmares once and for all.
Aria landed gently on another rocky surface from the portal she descended from above. She was in a distorted wasteland that felt like the concept of time itself stood still, or at least that's how she felt coming to this place to meet him every now and then. This realm was filled with many hills and mountains, but in this place of distortion, things were a little different.
In the sky was a blue sun and stars that lit the entire realm in its radiant glow and gave it beauty. Upon entering this distorted place, Aria came across a sight that immediately caught her attention. She saw that the entire landscape were in ruins and heavily damaged from what looked like a big battle had took place.
There were hundreds of mechanical bodies of angels lying all over the wasteland. All of them were destroyed and ripped to many pieces. Aria sighed to herself knowing exactly who was behind the wreckage. Xorz must had been doing one of his intense workout routines again, not that she had a problem with it.
Aria looked out unto the debris and spotted a humanoid figure with a long tail medicating in a full lotus position among the rubble of angels. She had finally found the person she's been looking for that was responsible for all this distortion and destruction, floating in the air with an aura of blue fire surrounding it.
She walked up closer to the being until she began to feel herself getting sweaty. An intense heat was coming from the entity as Aria had to take a step back from it, trying not to get too close as the heat was becoming too unbearable for her to handle, but she had to get the entity's attention somehow. The woman knew of one thing, and that was she was going to have to yell. She just hoped that it wouldn't be too angry at her for what she was about to do.
"I'M SORRY TO INTERRUPT YOU FROM WHATEVER YOU WERE DOING, BUT ITS TIME TO GO!" Aria shouted.
Taking notice of the women's loud voice, the entity opened its glowing blue eyes, breaking itself out of its deep meditation. Xorz gave a devilish smirk as it was finally time to go. The distortion in the realm began to dissipate due to his awakening. Having felt fully reenergized, he was ready to embrace on a mission he has waited nearly a century for.
Author's Note: Hello, its been a little while since we last updated on this story, and someone left us a PM regarding the chapter lengths of this story, and here's how we are going to handle that.
We believe that chapters should be as long as they need to be no matter the word count, so our story is going to follow that similar structure, but that doesnt mean we won't set any goals for us to reach. We're aiming for our chapters to be up to 5000 words long. Once we reach that goal of 5000, we're work our way to 8000, and from there its smooth sailing, but again it depends on what we want to cover for that specific chapter without unnecessary padding.
More words doesn't necessarily mean better story all the time, but we just want to create chapters that aren't too short, but aren't too long either. Thank you for asking us this question. Stay tune for more because the story is only starting to get more interesting from here. If this story does become something people will like in the future, we will do fanart and maybe some fan animation to really bring something like this. Maybe eventually we're create a Devianart account for such things like this. Unto next time, have a good day everyone!
