Chapter-2 New Friends

Hiccup was making some beef and noodle with mashed potatoes fresh from the Berk Farmers market. "Heather, big plate or small plate?" She looked over and said." Big. Thanks." He nodded and was thinking, about his father. His eyes glassed over and he started to whimper. Heather almost immediately noticed and walked over. "It'll be alright Hiccup. Your father was a great man." He nodded and said." I know. It'll be hard to keep my grades up. It's ten fifty and I still haven't started my work."

At Six Forty-Five In the Morning...

"HICCUP!" He was awakened by shaking and yelling. Heather was trying to wake him up. "what?" He was still very sleepy. "Your Late!" Then he woke up and flew into the bathroom for his clothes. Put on deodorant and got his clothes on. Heather was in her police clothes and was waiting for Hiccup to get in the car. She laughed when he ran out of the house with his bag half open. When he got in he took toward the police station. After dropping her off, he pulled into school. He prepared for the day ahead of him. His dad's death bothered him but didn't really feel it because it was still a shock.

At the Front Door...

Hiccup walked in and everyone stopped talking and stared at him. He walked down the halls and the principal called him in. "I didn't expect you here today." She said. He looked at her and said. "I can't let this take me over. I need some normalcy." She understood and nodded. Letting him go. He went to his locker and his cousin Snotlout Jorgenson slammed his locker shut and knocked the books out of his hands. "Pick it up Useless!" Hiccup was confused. "What?" He said. Snotlout looked a little more pissed.

Hiccup saw Ruff and Tuff walk up and cross their arms. "Guys, a little help?" They laughed. "We are joining Snotlout's group. He is better at insulting than you." Hiccup accepted the challenge. "Try me." He said. "Alright, you're so ugly you scared the crap out of the toilet."
"If I had a face like yours, I'd sue my parents." Hiccup replied.
"The only way you'll get laid is if you crawl up a chickens ass and wait."
"Yeah well, I don't insult with sexual puns. Plus those aren't really good insults."
"I wasn't insulting you, I was describing you." Everyone went. "OHH!"

Snotlout got up in Hiccups face and shoved him. Hiccup then shoved Snotlout and then Ruff and Tuff went after Hiccup. Holding him by the arms and then Snotlout proceeded to beat the tar out of Hiccup. Hiccup, who was getting beaten lifted his feet and full forced them into his chest. Knocking the wind out of his chest. He then proceeded to get clammed into a locker. When the trio ran off. Hiccup then picked up his books and then went to the washroom. He looks in the mirror when it hits him. He lost his dad, his friends and lives with a police officer. Plus he doesn't have a job. Neither does his mom. Who is in the hospital for the rest of the week.

He then went to class and was a few seconds late. "You're late." He said. "I know." Bucket let it go and then proceeded to work. Then a spitball hit Hiccup in the head. He turned around and saw Snotlout. Hiccup growled and then sat forward. Hiccup felt alone in school. He lost his dad, his mom is in the hospital, and he lived with a police officer. The class was dismissed and Hiccup bought a peanut butter sandwich with water and some fruit. Then went to sit where he always sits.

"Useless! Why are you sitting there?" Hiccup sighed and said. "I always sit here."
"Not anymore!" Snotlout said. Hiccup growled and then Snotlout grabbed his water bottle and poured it all over his sandwich. Hiccup would have gone at Snotlout but a teacher walked in. "Hiccup, let it go. Tell the lunch lady what happened. You can get a free lunch. Snotlout, Ruffnut, and Tuffnut. Office!" Hiccup went and got just a water bottle. He sat down alone, again.

Astrid got up and walked over to Hiccup. She sat next to him and said. "I know this doesn't make a lot of sense but, you can come and sit with us."
"Why? I bullied you guys for a few years. Why would you ask me to sit with you guys now?" She shifted her shoulders and said. "Because it's the right thing to do." She got up and started back to her table when a new kid named Dagur walked up to her and shoved her to the floor. "You may have gotten me expelled from school but I'll get you expelled from Berk!"

Dagur went to raise a fist to hit Astrid but then someone yelled. "HEY!" Hiccup yelled across the cafeteria and was walking over to Dagur. "Leave her alone. She did nothing." Dagur got pissed and said. "She got me expelled! She deserves punishment!"
"If she did, it was for good reason." Dagur went to throw a punch at Hiccup but he dodged it and grabbed his arm forcing it behind his back and kicking his legs from under him. "Leave it, before you get hurt." He let Dagur go and he ran. "Why?" Astrid asked. "Because it was the right thing to do, Astrid."
