Hey! Sorry I didn't update in a while, but my computer has been on the fritz, and I was having family problems, but it's good now! I forgot to put in the last chapter that the first song was "I don't think about it" by Emily Osment, and the second one was "All the boys want" by Emily Osment. Also, I forgot to mention that this story is based on Emily Osment's songs, so listen to them and you might get a little more insight on what this story is about. Hope you like it (:

A Little Closer To The Truth

(Musa's POV)

I wake up to the sound of my alarm going off. I look at the time, and see that it's 7:00 AM. I get up, take a shower, get dressed, and brush my hair.

I feel my phone vibrate from inside my pocket, and I look at it. There is a new text message from Helia that says Come down to the courtyard.

I put my phone back in my pocket, get my school bag, and go down to the courtyard. I go up to six guys hanging around. "Hey, what did you want?" I ask.

"Just getting you down here for breakfast," Helia says.

"But it's...7:13," I say looking at the time on my phone.

"Well, when did you get up?" Timmy asks.

"7:00," I tell him.

"What?" all of the boys ask in amazment, except Helia ask.

"What?" I ask.

"It takes you thirteen minutes to get ready?" Nabu asks.

"Well, yeah, why?" I ask.

"Cause all of the girls I've know, takes at least an hour to get ready," Brandon says.

"Well, not all of them," I say.

"Wow!" they all say in amazment.

"So, guys, who are you rooting for?" Brandon asks the guys, making sure to turn his head away from me.

"What about me?" I ask.

"You're a girl, you don't know what I'm talking about," he says.

"I'm rooting for the Packers because the Steelers don't stand a chance(1)," I say.

"Wow! Your a football fan?" Sky asks.

"Huge!" I say.

"Hey, where are you watching the game?" Helia asks.

"The usual," I say.

"Would you happen to have an extra ticket?" he asks.

"I'll ask my dad," I say getting out my dad, and calling him.

"Yes?" he asks.

"Did you get the tickets yet?" I ask.

"Yeah, they gave me thirteen!" he says.

"Wow! Could Helia come with us?" I ask.

"Yeah, sure, you can also pick ten other friends," he says.

"Okay, thanks, bye," I say.

"Bye," he says and I hang up.

"So...?" he asks.

"He says they gave him thirteen tickets! That means one for him, me, you, and ten people of my pick," I say.

"Great!" he says.

"What are you talking about?" Brandon asks.

"Every year, me and my dad go and watch the game live. Well, this year, my dad got thirteen tickets," I say.

"And, who might be the ten friends are going to choose to go with you?" Sky asks.

"Well, you guys are my only friends, so I guess you and the girls," I say.

"What about your mom?" Nabu asks.

"Let's just say, she is not with us," I say.

"Oh," he says.

"Yeah," I say.

"Hey!" I hear a certain someone's voice say.

"What do you want John?" I ask turning towards him.

"I want to know when you want me to pick you up for the date," he says.

"You are going on a date with him?" Helia asks.

"No, he needs to get through his thick skull what no means," I say.

"Come on, one date, and you won't regret it!" he says.

"No, I think I will," I say.

"Come on, you know you want me," he says.

"Nah, I know what I want, and, trust me, it's not you," I say.

"Why?" he asks.

"Cause I don't like you," I say.

"I'm giving you one more chance," he says.

"I'm giving you one more chance," I say.

"Please go out with me!" he pleads. I don't answer, I just take my fist, and punch him in the gut making him fall to the ground.

"So, what up?" I ask trying to change the subject.

All of a sudden, I feel someone pull me to the ground. It's happening so quickly, that I don't see what is happening, and all I feel is someone pinning me to the ground, and putting their lips on mine. I struggle to get away, but nothing is working. I am pinned, and I can't get my arms or legs out.

After a few moments of struggling, I hear an old lady's voice say, "What are you doing!" John then let's go, and I quickly get up.

"What did it look like?" he asks.

"Come with me!" the old lady says and pulls him into the school. I look at the guys. They have a look of disgust on their face, and Riven is clenching his fists. I wonder why.

"The girls do take long!" I say getting impatient.

"Yeah," the guys agree, except for Riven who just grunts. About an hour passes of akward scilence.

"Hey!" Stella's voice says.

"Finally!" the guys and I say.

"We don't take that long!" Bloom says.

"We've been waiting for like an hour!" I complain.

"Well, dawling, you have to take an hour to look this gorgeus, you should know," Stella says twirling.

"How should I know?" I ask.

"Well, how long does it take you to look like that?" she asks.

"A few minutes," I say.

"Wow!" Stella says in pure shock.

"So, do you girls watch football?" I ask.

"No!" all of the girls except Layla say.

"Yeah, it's awesome!" Layla says.

"Two girls who like football? I think I'm in heaven," Nabu says, but mostly toward Layla.

"Well, girls who don't like it, do you want to spend your Sunday away from school?" I ask.

"Yeah!" they all say.

"Well, my dad got thirteen tickets to the Superbowl, and, well, one for him, one for me, and the rest for you guys," I say.

"What about your mom?" Flora asks.

"Let's just say she's not with us," I say repeating myself from earlier and she does not say another word.

"Did you guys hear who is playing at half-time?" Layla asks excitedly.

"No, who?" I ask getting a water bottle out from my bag and taking a drink.

"Harmonica's daughter(2)!" she says making me spit out my water. It's a good thing no one is infront of me.

"What?" I ask.

"You know, Harmonica, the singer that died a long time ago? Well, her husband booked her daughter for the half-time concert!" Layla explains.

"Excuse me for one moment," I say walking a good distance, getting my phone out, and dialing my dad's number.

"What's up?" his voice asks.

"Why?" I ask.

"Why what?" he asks.

"Why did you book me for the half-time?" I ask.

"I thought it would be good for you. You keep to yourself, you need to express yourself, and singing is a way to do it," he says.

"I can't believe you!" I say and hang up. I go back to the others.

"What was that about?" Tecna asks.

"I just remembered something," I say.

"What was it?" Bloom asks.

"I got that water a few weeks ago," I say.

"Why did you have to leave?" Flora asks.

"I had to throw it away," I say plainly.

"Okay, well, are we ready to go eat?" Brandon asks and we all go into Sky's car, and go to Ryan's. When we get there, we go in, and get a table. We don't sit down, but start getting our food. I go over to the salad bar, and make myself a salad. I go back to the table, sit down, and start eating.

"Why do you eat weird things?" Brandon asks.

"How is a salad weird?" I ask.

"For breakfast it is," he says.

"Not really," I say.

"You know, I had a cousin that ate like you," Stella says.

"Ain't that fasinating?" I say sarcastically.

"She said she became a vegitarian because she wanted to loose a few pounds," she continues.

"Why are you telling me this?" I ask.

"I was just htinking, maybe you eat for the same reason she does," Stella says.

"I might be a vegitarian, but not for the same reason," I say.

"Is that what you two were talking about last night? Saying you've been a vegitarian since you were born?" Sky asks Helia and I.

"Yeah," I say.

"That's why your so skinny!" Stella said.

"I'm not that skinny," I say defending myslef.

"Yes, you are! I could probably put both my hands around your waist, and there will be no gaps," Stella says.

"No! Can we just eat?" I ask.

"Sure," Helia says glaring at Stella.

Once we get done with our food, we go back into Sky's car, and head to the school. "We still have about an hour till class starts," Sky says.

"Can I see your schedule?" Helia asks me.

"Sure, I never really looked at it," I say getting the peice of paper out of my bag, and giving it to him.

"Wow!" he says looking over it.

"What?" I ask.

"You have every single class with Riven," Helia says.

"Whatever," I say flatly. My insides are leaping with joy, but I have no idea why. I take my schedule from Helia, and look at it. In order, my classes are: language, reading, math, music, history, science, and PE.

"The weird thing about Riven's schedule, it that he has no classes with any of us," Helia says while I look over my schedule.

"Whatever," I say really not caring.

"Back to the half-time thing," Stella says getting everyones attention. "How do we know the chick can actually sing?" she asks.

"Do you think her dad would book her if she couldn't?" Bloom asks.

"I don't know," Stella says.

"How old is she anyway?" Tecna asks.

"She's our age, but no one knows what she looks like because she never let anyone know who she was," Layla says.

"So this chick could be as ugly as hell?" Brandon asks.

"Yeah, but I doubt she is, I mean, did you ever see her mom!" Sky says getting a glare from Bloom.

"Must've been hard living without a mom," Flora says making me chuckle a little.

"What?" Tecna asks.

"Nothing," I say.

"Then why did you chuckle?" Stella asks.

"It's just funny how you people are getting all worked up on this chick, I mean you don't know what she looks like, if she can sing, how she acts, and your feeling sorry for her," I say.

"Well, didn't you say your mom passed?" Bloom asks.

"Yeah," I say.

"How was that for you?" Layla asks.

"Brutal, but my dad was there for me," I say.

"So don't you feel sorry for the girl?" Flora asks.

"Not at all," I say.

"Harsh," Sky says.

"Well, I don't," I say.

"Why?" Stella asks.

"Cause I just don't," I say.

All of a sudden, someone starts talking on the speaker. "Good morning students! School is canceled for the rest of the week!" the voice says getting a bunch of cheers from everyone. "Yes, yes. Now, on more important matters, there will be tryouts for the school dance team tomorrow at noon in the gym! Be on time. Also, the homecoming dance is coming up in about a month, and we are in need of decorators. Go to 's room for that. That's all, have a nice day!" the voice says.

"Musa, did you dye your hair?" Stella asks out of nowhere.

"No, why?" I ask.

"That is just an unnatural color for someone's hair," she says.

"Well, no. This was the color hair I was born with," I say.

"Okay then," she says.

All of a sudden, my phone rings. It's my dad.

"Yeah?" I say.

"You know that studio that I showed you. You know, the one where you mother recorded?" he asks.

"Yeah," I say.

"Well, I need you down there, now," he says.

"Why?" I ask.

"Because you need to prepare for the super bowl, and you have some duets to prepare as well," he says.

"Duets? With who?" I ask not noticing that the others are looking at me weirdly.

"Mitchel Musso, and Miley Cyrus," he says.

"Okay, so I have to come now?" I ask.

"Yeah, and you can bring any friends of yours if you want," he says.

"I didn't exactly tell them," I say.

"But they are coming to the game, right?" he asks.

"Yeah," I say.

"Wouldn't they notice if you leave for the half-time, and then go on the stage?" he asks.

"I guess, but I don't want to," I say.

"Okay, but come, oh, and bring Helia! I want to see him!" he says.

"Okay, bye," I say and hang up. "Helia, my dad wants you to come with me to a place," I say.

"Okay," he says.

"What place?" Stella asks.

"A place," I say.

"Are we going in your car?" Helia asks.

"Yeah. Let's go, my dad wants me there right away," I say.

"Okay," he says. I start walking to the car, and Helia follows me. "So, where are we going?" he asks once we're in the car.

"A studio, I have to prepare for the superbowl and my dad said he wants to see you," I tell him.

"Oh," he says and I start the car.

Once we're there, I see my dad waiting outside for me. "Helia!" my dad says taking Helia into a hug.

"Hey Uncle Hoboe!" Helia says returning the hug.

"My beautiful Musa," my dad says letting go of Helia, and hugging me.

"Hey dad," I say not hugging him back because I hate public affection.

"Come on then!" my dad says and we head inside the studio. We go to this one room that my dad said my mom always recorded.

"So, what songs do you want to sing?" my dad asks.

"Well," I start and tell him the songs I wish to sing. After about an hour of thinking of which song I should sing in which order, there is a knock on the door. My dad opens it, and in comes two people. I immediatley recognize them as Mitchel Musso and Miley Cyrus.

"Hey," I say calmly, making them look suprised.

"You're not going to jump all over us because we're celebrities?" Miley asks.

"Why would I?" I ask.

"Thank you!" Mitchel says.

"I guess being famous is too hard to handle sometimes?" I ask kind of understanding.

"Yeah, people never leave us alone," Miley says.

"Oh, well, I'm Musa," I say.

"Hey Musa," Mitchel says. I have to admit, he's cute.

"So what are we going to sing?" I ask.

"Well, my manager made this song," Miley said giving me a sheet of paper.

"You don't write your own songs?" I ask.

"No, who does, besides Mitchel?" she asks.

"I do," I say.

"Really? Cool!" Mitchel says. I look at the sheet of paper that Miley gave me.

"I like it," I say.

"Here's the one I wrote," Mitchel says handing me a sheet of paper.

"I love it!" I say looking at it.

"Thanks!" he says.

"Okay, so you want to try it out?" I ask him.

"Sure!" he says.

We start singing, and we sound perfect together! Once we got the song down, I sing with Miley. In my opinion, she could never sing, but some people think she can, so I guess I have to sing with her. The song is okay itself, but Miley is a bit scratchy.

Once we got the song down, we stop. I introduce Mitchel and Miley to Helia, and then Miley leaves saying her manager wants her.

"I'm going to go get a cab to take me back," Helia says and leaves, as well as my dad who says he has to get home.

"So it's just us then," I say.

"Yeah, you wanna go get a coffee or something?" he asks.

"I'd like that," I say.

"Great!" he says and we walk out of the building.

"So did you come here with Miley?" I ask.

"Yeah, her manager said it would be great for publicity," he says not looking too thrilled.

"Wow! Is her manager her controler?" I ask.

"I've never met him, but it seems like it," Mitchel says.

"Come on, we can take my car," I say walking over to it.

"Wow! Nice ride," he says.

"Thanks," I say. We get in, and head to a cafe. When we get there, we take a seat, order coffee, and talk.

After a few hours of talking and sharing some fries, I realize that I have to get back to the school.

"Do you want me to drop you off?" I ask.

"No, it's fine, I'll get a limo," he says.

"Ok, call me?" I say.

"Sure," he says.

"Bye," I say getting into my car.

"Bye," I hear him say. I head back to the school, and go up to my dorm. I look at the time. It's 8:32 PM.

"Someone's back late," Tecna says.

"Yeah," I say.

"What were you doing? Helia came back hours ago," she says.

"Nothing, I'm so tired, goodnight," I say and slowly drift off to sleep.

1. I know that the game already passed, and that its not even the right time of the year (see 1st chapter), but I wrote this chapter about a week or two ago, and couldn't type it because of my computer, so just go with it XD

2. This is Musa's mom's stage name because her last name is Harmonic

Hope you liked it! Message me ideas, I need some!
