Chapter 2
It's the start of a new school day and Mukuro happily set up what seems to be a booth. He's glad that Chrome decided to help him out in the war. His precious Chrome is such a genius for thinking about this idea.
After setting up the booth completely, Mukuro made an illusion so that non-flame users wouldn't be able to see the booth. It'd be a pain if the other prefects would report this to Hibari, not to mention the crowd of girls that would come rushing if they saw him there. Mukuro shivered at the mental image.
And now with everything complete, he sat in his stool, happily waiting for the Vongola Decima to appear. He didn't wait that long when she entered the school gates along with her best friends.
"Good Morning Tsunayoshi-chan!" Tsuna looked at him and was about to greet back when she stopped in her tracks. Yamamoto and Gokudera seemed to be frozen as well.
"Oya? What's wrong?" Tsuna slowly walked towards him as she pointed to the booth.
"…A kissing…booth?" Tsuna looked so adorable when she tilted her head in question that Mukuro wanted to forget about the war and just kiss her. He restrained himself; he wanted the skylark to lose.
"Yup! So will you kiss me? It's for charity!" Mukuro said enthusiastically.
Gokudera and Yamamoto seems to have retrieved their senses back as soon as Mukuro said those words.
"Wow! I never thought Mukuro would be the type to do these things!" Yamamoto laughed good-naturedly.
"Ha! The bastard, doing charity?! Is this some kind of a joke?" Gokudera sneered. "Tell me, what charity will the money be going for?"
Mukuro looked a bit nervous, he didn't exactly think about a specific charity and Tsuna looked curious as well. "Err…well… for old people? To uhh, stop being…annoying?" He thought Tsuna would laugh at him but didn't expect what happened next.
"Oh! Then I'd like to help!" Tsuna said as she rummaged through her bag. Gokudera on the other hand, looked suspicious. "I don't know what you're planning but you better leave Juudaime out of it!"
"Maa, maa. Gokudera, it's for a good cause anyway!" Yamamoto cheerfully said as he restrained Gokudera.
"Aha! Found one!" Tsuna cheerfully said as she whipped out a 100 yen. She's reluctant to kiss one of her guardians but if it were to help the elderly then she'd gladly do so.
Gokudera looked horrified to see Tsuna give a deviously smirking Mukuro her 100 yen. "Juudaime, please stop!"
Tsuna didn't seem to hear Gokudera's plea as she got on her tiptoes to kiss Mukuro. It's only for a few seconds, so why is she getting nervous? She trusted her guardian and besides, this is for the benefit of the elderlies. Blushing heavily, Tsuna held onto Mukuro as she leaned in for the kiss.
Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you'd look at it, the bell rang.
Tsuna looked at Mukuro apologetically, "Mukuro, sorry but I have to go or else Nezu-sensei will find another reason to expel us. Here's your 100 yen though for the elderlies!" And with that she ran off with her friends, with Gokudera smirking at him.
Damn that brat.
So maybe adding salt to the wound was a bad idea. But then, who can't resist mocking a depressed pineapple when given a chance? Hibari sure as hell wouldn't. Though getting a lip wound was not in his calculations. The scratches on his face is okay, but the lip wound's definitely uncalled for. Hibari growled at his reflection in the mirror. Damn that pineapple. How was he supposed to kiss the brunette if he has a bleeding lip? Sure he got his revenge, but this wound cannot be undone.
Hibari clenched his knuckles. He's not an expert in relationships, well he's never been in one before, but this (at least for him, anyway) is a turnoff. He almost scowled at his reflection in the mirror. Why did he even agree to the bet anyway? Definitely not because he wanted to kiss the omnivore. Yes, it's to defeat the pineapple other than fighting. Hibari reassured himself as he proceeded to patrol the campus.
It's lunchtime and Tsuna is on her way to meet her friends on the rooftop when she heard shouts of pain and pleading from one side. 'Looks like Hibari-san is at it again.' She thought as he headed towards the sounds.
Amidst the unconscious piles of the delinquents stood Hibari in all his bloodstained glory. It took a few seconds after tossing the last delinquent to the ground before Hibari regarded her presence.
"Omnivore."
Tsuna flinched slightly. "Y-yes, Hibari-san?"
"What are you doing here?" Hibari then started to walk towards her.
"W-well I heard some noises and decided to- What happened to your face?" Tsuna almost shrieked when she saw two bleeding cuts on Hibari's cheeks. Were the delinquents that strong this time that they were able to harm her cloud guardian? "Did they do this?"
Hibari almost scoffed in indignation. Did this woman really think that he's gotten weak that lowly delinquents can land blows on him? He glared at her lightly as if to convey his message.
Tsuna sighed in relief, so it wasn't them. It's probably Mukuro. "Mou, Hibari-san please stop picking fights with Mukuro." Hibari simply stared at her in defiance. "Anyway, we should get that treated." Then, without waiting for the other's response and completely disregarding the other's personal space, she dragged him towards the reception room.
If this were any other herbivore, Hibari would've bitten him/her to death for touching him. Well, he supposed this should be good because it makes things easier for him. Now all he needs to do is to wait.
Tsuna rummaged for Band-Aids and betadine antiseptic through the first aid kit in the room. She used her so-called 'boss-mode' to instruct Hibari to sit on the couch and wait. Good thing he's somewhat more agreeable today or else… Tsuna shivered at the thought. When she found the items she bounced happily towards the skylark not noticing the roll of bandage.
As expected she tripped and landed, on Hibari's lap. More like, her head's on his lap and as she prepared to stand, she didn't expect Hibari's face hovering over hers. Her apology died in her throat as she stared the intimidating grey eyes of her guardian.
Was it just her or did those eyes show a bit of concern earlier? As she stared at it longer the more she felt a certain pull towards the gaze. She can't seem to break eye contact, afraid that it would ruin the moment. She wanted to get closer-
"Kyoya! Reborn told me- AH!" Dino, stumbled into the room, surprised to see the two teens in a compromising position.
The two sprang apart, then Tsuna stood abruptly and ran towards the door to escape the embarrassment leaving the skylark and the doomed Bronco.
Dino gulped audibly when he saw the head prefects' black aura thicken considerably.
"I-I can explain…?" He offered weakly.
"I'll bite you to death."
Well... here's the second chap! This is a short fic so I guess this will be over in two chapters or so.
