~SONG: The Mess I Made by Parachute

Continumn: Inbetween TLO and TLH. Percy and Annabeth get into a fight a month before they get together. This is supposed to be in my PJO oneshots and the multifandoms, so this will be reposted two more times.

Should've kissed you there

I should've held your face

I should've watched those eyes

Instead of run in place

"Annabeth, look I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that!" Percy said, looking at Annabeth. They were practice fighting when Percy accidentally due to a bit of the pent up rage, summoned water. They were also by the canoe lake.

"Yeah Percy. Maybe you should know better next time. I'm smart enough to know that you probably did that on purpose. No matter what." Annabeth said, putting her dagger back in it's cover. "I have to go clean this. I'll talk to you when your ready to not abuse your powers to pull a fast one on me." Annabeth walked away.

I should've called you out

I should've said your name

I should've turned around

I should've looked again

Percy felt horrible. It was a complete accident, and Annabeth of all people should have known that. But Percy was just.. he didn't mean to do it at all. Just when he got focused fighting he may of thought of water, and summoned a small waterspout. He tried to guard his thoughts away.

Annabeth was cleaning off the dagger far away from where Percy might be. It had gotten seaweed on it and she didn't want it to rust up. It was bad when it did. It'd get stuck and there was fights ahead. She knew it. "Percy, you are such a seaweed brain.." Annabeth thought to herself.

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made

I 'm staring at the mess I made

I 'm staring at the mess I made

As you turn, you take your heart and walk away

Percy was going to tell her how he felt. It was the good time, yet his stupid hydrokensis ability was acting strange. "Grr.. curse being able to control water!" Percy had not willed himself to get soaked because he didn't see it coming, but he felt like he deserved a good one. Nice going, Percy. You just screwed up your entire friendship with Annabeth or whatever it could have become. Percy thought to himself.

Should've held my ground

I could've been redeemed

For every second chance

That changed its mind on me

Percy was doing Capture The Flag and was strangely allied on the red side. Annabeth rarely allied Athena with Ares, but she did. She was truly mad at me, Percy thought to himself. He'd gone on the red side after someone heard what Annabeth was doing as payback on Percy for thee soaking she got at the canoe lake. He was watching a red-plumed ally run down to get the flag from the blue camp when he felt a sword at the back of his neck.

Annabeth was just playing the game. She didn't want to hurt Percy. "Percy, look, I'm sorry for how I reacted." Shee kept rewording it in her mind, but nothing came out. Somtehing about apologizing to Percy wasn't right. I'm sorry cause I like you more than a friend? Annabeth thought, but shook her head. Oh kroaka, that's a dumb way to apologize! Annabeth looked at Percy.

I should've spoken up

I should've proudly claimed

That oh my head's to blame

For all my heart's mistakes

Percy turned, Riptide in his hand. "Annabeth? Look, go ahead, pummel me. I honestly am sorry for what I did. Take the flag, take it out on me. I didn't mean to do it. I was thinking about the rain the other day." Percy added, looking at Annabeth.

Annabeth sighed. "Percy, I don't think that counts as a worthy thing to strategize revenge over. I'm equally sorry. I didn't mean what I said to you. You may be a seaweed brain, but your one of my good friends here. I wouldn't hurt you like that on purpose either. I'm sorry for overreacting." Annabeth looked at Percy. He stood theree, still looking at her.

But oh, I'm staring at the mess I made

I 'm staring at the mess I made

I 'm staring at the mess I made

As you turn, you take your heart and walk away

Percy shrugged. "I guess I'll just go no-" Percy was about to run for the blue flag when he felt the tip of the sword, and then he saw Riptide clatter to the ground on the forest floor. "Hey!" Percy said, looking at Annabeth.

Annabeth laughed. "You thought I was going to let you get away? Come on. I've caught you. I think I've got the revenge I wanted on you." Annabeth walked with Percy to the red team camp. "I honestly didn't want there to be any possiblity of you being distracted, so I switcheed alliances. Although I'm regretting the Ares alliance. "

And it's you, and it's you

And it's you, and it's you

And it's falling down, as you walk away

And it's on me now, as you go

It was about a month later. Percy was at home in his Mom's New York appartment and it was his birthday. People were here, including his step-dad, Paul. Percy was sipping at a can of Coke when he saw Annabeth come in. "Hey Annabeth," Percy said, walking over to her.

Annabeth laughed. "I still can't believe it's been nearly 4 years since that first quest. I still remember you comng over the property line running." Annabeth smiled at him. "hey, happy 16th birthday too." Annabeth hugged him.

Percy laughed. "A month ago you hated me. Now you love me? Hmm, that's strange." Percy tried to be funny, but he knew it wasn't funny at all. Percy looked at Annabeth.

Annabeth smiled. "Hey, just be glad I love you, Seaweed Brain."Annabeth looked at him. "Plus who knows what could happen in the future?" Annabeth added, looking at Percy. She didn't hate ehim really. He was probably just exagerrating, like he always does.
