Hey my loves. I'm back. So what did we think of the first chapter? I loved your reviews. You guys are so eager to see what happens next and as a writer that is very comforting. Well I won't hold you any longer so here you go. Enjoy.

Flashback-2015

"Olivia you have to be on set in ten" said my momager

My mom had been managing me since I did my first commercial for Gerber. My mom always told me that she knew I was a star from the moment I could walk up and down the hallway modeling. When I got older I truly fell in love with the art of acting.

I guess it was a good thing that I was the total package. A triple threat as my grandfather would say. I dance, sing, and act and I'm beginning to pick up the piano. I'm just happy that I get to do what I love.

I was out in New York for press for my newest movie Join Me Across The River. My home away from home. I was born here but moved when casting directors called me for auditions. That's when I moved out to Los Angeles. However I always have a connection to the city.

I was walking to the stage of the Wendy Williams Show. I am excited to see her again because she made the interviewing process so much easier than other interviewers. She was funny and she made it a thing that I call her "Aunt Wendy". She really was like another aunt to me. Even when I wasn't on the show she called me and just kept up with what I was doing.

"You have seen our next guest grow up in front of grow up in front of our eyes and now she plays the role of Camille in Join Me Across The River. Please welcome my lovely un-biological niece Olivia Pope." said Wendy

"Hi, Aunt Wendy."

"Hello, beautiful. Welcome home. Wow you have really grown up. I remember watching you as a little girl and now you are about to turn 16. Where has time gone?"

"I know. It's actually scary turning 16 because now I'm allowed to date but I'm not really sure if I want to just yet so it's definitely going to be a huge change." I said laughing

As the interview went on she asked me how school was going and about the upcoming movie. It was fun to be back in my element in New York. Even though I wanted to take just 15 minutes of relaxing I couldn't do that due to the all day press that I had lined up.

After Wendy, I had to go and meet the entire cast for a press conference for the movie. Since I was the leading character I had to show up and answer 1,001 from every reporter in the room it seemed. It was good to see the cast again because we actually enjoyed the company of each other and there weren't any arguments unlike some sets I have been on.

The press conference lasted about an hour and a half. Once we took the final pictures, my mom and I headed to the studio where Entertainment Tonight was preparing for the interview. As I was changing clothes and retouching up my makeup, one of the producer's nephew came in to give me a 10 minute time limit before I had to be on set in front of the cameras.

He had some of the greatest eyes I've ever seen. They were a mix between blue and grey. They held a mystery behind them that I was determined to find out. He seemed so manly even though he looked to be no more than 19.

"Thanks for the heads up…" I said for him to fill in the blank

"Fitzgerald Grant. You can call me Fitz. No problem Liv. Have a great interview and let me know if there is anything else I can get you." He said with a charming smile that would make any girl fawn over him

As he closed the door and walked out he kept eye contact with me until he was out of sight. He left me in a daze. I couldn't hear my stylist and my mom until they tapped me.

"Ooooh. Looks like Ninja found herself a secret admirer." said Takisha who has been my stylist for years

"I don't have a secret admirer. He was just being nice T." I said trying to avoid the subject

"Mmmmhmm. I saw the way he was looking at you Ninja." said my mom

"Ughhhh. Whatever. And why do you insist on calling me Ninja anyway?"

"Because you gave me hell while you were in the womb with all of your kicking fits." said my mom

As Carol finished putting on the last of my makeup I headed out to meet Rocsi Diaz. Once I sat down in my chair across from her I could see him. He stared at me the entire time. As we wrapped up my mom was talking to one of the producers and he started to walk towards me. I could feel my heart racing. Why was I getting this reaction to someone I just met? Liv, calm down. He's just a coming to say hello and that's it.

"You did great on your interview." he said

"Thanks. You get used to them when you've been in the business for so long. So what do you around here?"

"Oh no. I don't actually work here. My uncle is a producer and I'm just up here for the weekend. I really enjoy politics."

"Oh my goodness…is your dad Senator Grant of Virginia?" suddenly realizing who he was

"Yes. How did you know?" he chuckled

"Well I mean you do look a lot like him and who doesn't know who your dad is."

"Well yeah that's him. Hey I know you're going to be leaving NYC soon and I probably won't ever see you again but I don't want that to happen so here is my number…I hope you use it." he said nervously

"Umm…thanks. Ok. How old are you?" I had to ask. I didn't want to seem as if this was inappropriate and if he was any older than 18 my mom wouldn't ever let me near him ever again. I wanted the elephant out of the room so that we could move forward on whatever this was between us.

He laughed and said "I will turn 17 in May. How old are you?"

"Well I will turn 16 on November 1st." I said proudly as if it was a national holiday

"That's coming up pretty soon. Well I will assure you that you will get something from me for your birthday." he said charmingly

"Oh you don't have to do that. I mean we just met and I really don't know you." I stammered

"I know but you seem very nice and complicated." He smirked

"Yea well you don't know the half of it. Thanks. I have to go but I will use your number. Thanks again." I said

"No problem, Liv." He said and gave me a side hug and I left

No one has ever just been that sweet and nice to me before. There is something about him that I can't quite put my hand on. I will be using his number for sure.

When we left the studio my mom and I headed to the airport to head back home to California for the movie premiere. Once we were situated in our seats she asked me

"So what do you think about him ninja?"

"I don't know. He is nice and complicated," laughing to myself "I want us to be friends but I don't know how that works when we are on opposite coasts"

"Mi amor. You make it work. You do what you have to if you truly value it. You want it badly but you have to be honest with yourself first. Mas vale una verdad que duele, que una mentira que ilusione. Figure it out ninja." she said to me and kissed me on top of my head.

The entire plane ride all I could think about was Fitz. I wanted him to be my friend but I didn't know how to make it work from so far away. I had his number all I had to do was dial it. If I wanted it badly enough I was going to do anything no matter the cost. It was my turn to take a leap of faith and let it lead me down this journey.

"Hello."

"Hi, it's Liv"

"Hi"

OMG! Did I seriously leave you there?! Yes I did. I honestly had this chapter written for a while but I had to change some of the small things to make sure that it made perfect sense to you guys. I hope you enjoyed it. BTW the Spanish quote her mom meant was "Better a truth that hurts, than a lie that excites."

If you guys can't tell already I try to add a little bit of myself in Olivia aka the Spanish. I'm part Dominican and I embrace my culture and I wanted Liv to be able to embrace hers as well. I like my characters to have multiple different aspects of their lives so that they have different points if views on certain topics.

Please leave stars behind my loves. I love them and would love to see what you guys think. I love you to the moon and back and three times around the universe. MWAH! Until next time.

YoursTrulyJLove.
