This is the second chapter that I have updated today. I hope that you all liked the last one. This may or may not have a song in it, but who know's. I wasn't even expecting me to put a song in the last chapter. I forgot to mention that I own nothing but the plot. Enjoy!

Chapter 2:

Fionna had gotten really excited that her adoptive parents let her be an adventuress for the rest of her life. Sure she would come to visit but hey, they are family. They raised her since she was a little baby. She told them that she would always think of them and that she would be safe. Cake even offered to join her because her parents knew that Cake would NOT let ANYTHING happen to her… EVER!

Her sister was very protective of her sister. She wouldn't let anything hurt her. Even when someone said that her hat was dumb, Cake would go berserk.

Plus Cake didn't think that it was a good idea for an eleven almost twelve year old to go out on her own with nothing but the clothes on her back and a green backpack. Fionna remembered the day that the green backpack showed up in her room. She didn't know who it was from, or why it ended up there, but she wasn't going to question a free gift.

It was her 7th birthday, and the party had ended. She still had her pointy party hat on over her bunny hat, in between the bunny ears. She ran upstairs to put her new toys away. She had gotten a foam sword and shield, along with various other toys.

She flopped onto her bed with her sword in hand and her shield strapped to her arm. She was smiling ear to ear.

Until she felt as if someone was watching her. She opened her eyes expecting on of her family members to be watching her, but saw no one. All she saw was a slightly used green backpack sitting there. It was completely empty.

It seemed familiar to her, but she didn't know why.

She didn't think much of it, but that she loved it instantly.

She knew that she wouldn't let anything happen to it. Just like her hat, she would cherish it for her entire life on this post-apocalyptic Earth. She smiled, hugging it to her chest.

Her family just thought that she found it in their old home. They didn't know that it was given to her.

They didn't question her either. It would have been very difficult to explain at seven years old anyway's, so she was glad that they didn't question it.

It had taken a lot of arguing but Fionna had eventually won the fight between her and her parents. She had packed everything she thought she would need, like extra clothes, shampoo for her really long blonde hair, basically everything that a girl like her would need to stay clean and healthy.

She put on her bunny hat and left for the land of Aaa. "Girl, you have got to have a bag of holding, because that green backpack can't possibly hold all of you stuff in it." Cake giggled into her orange and white paw.

"Oh, shut up Cake. I just have really small stuff." Fionna said rolling her eyes. It was true, most of the items that she owned were small.

They walked through several forests and plains for hours. Before long they had to stop to eat. Fionna pulled off her pack and handed a sandwich to cake along with an apple and a soda. Then she got a banana, water and a sandwich out for her.

After they ate, they continued to Aaa. As it got hotter Fionna had Cake grow so she could ride her. They kept switching on who walked unlit they made it to Aaa, and boy was it beautiful.

"Holy glob, my heart gut just skipped a beat," Fionna said amazed. There were beautiful plains. More so than the ones that they past through to get there. It was vast and spacious. There was many beautiful wild flowers that were even more frequent than they were back home.

"It's absolutely gorgeous, girl." Her sister agreed. Fionna felt herself smiling.

They didn't know which way to go. They only had a few more hours of sunlight left. The two girls had no idea what laid ahead of them, what adventures laid in their future. But they knew right then that no matter what they faced, they'd face it together, as comrades. As friends. As sister.

They continued until they found a place to crash for the night. It was a tree house that looked like it had been abandoned for a long time. They decided that they would live there since it was vacant.

They pulled their things out of their bags. Finding the things that they needed they made their way to the kitchen. They managed to clean it up a bit and get the fridge running.

They put some perishables, like strawberries and a jar of homemade pickles from their mom, inside. After dinner that was spaghetti, they went to bed. They saw that it was very messy. They decided that they would make it more livable in the morning.

Fionna thought it looked like a teenage boy had lived her from the mess. She saw an old t-shirt that was much to large to fit her.

It was black and had an old band on the front. Again she had the sense of deja vu.

She looked around feeling as if someone was watching her. Her sister was already asleep inside the dresser. She didn't understand it, so she tucked the shirt inside her pack.

She tucked herself right after changing into her pj's. She fell asleep quickly. She didn't dream at all that first night.

I hope that you all like these changes. I thought that it wouldn't turn out as good as it did, in my opinion, but you all have different opinions of what is a good story and what's not. Criticism welcomed and encouraged.
