{Hidden Leaf Village Hospital, 5:34 pm.}
A few days passed since Naruto fell unconscious in the hospital and his only guest, the young lady that saved him from his fall, hadn't left his side for a moment. Even though the nurses and staffed made it clear that she had to vacate the room, she wouldn't budge and waited for Naruto's consciousness to return. While in his comatose state, Naruto had hallucinated that everything up to that point was all just a dream. Waking up to find out that he was no longer a man, being ogled by the men in his village, and witnessing a murder. The illusions put his mind at ease, leading him to believe that it was all due to the fatigue he suffered from after his training. In said illusion, his imagination took him to a safe place wherein his longtime crush, Sakura Haruno, had confessed to some feelings of adoration for the young ninja. After smiling at her and revealing that he had felt the same things for her, Sakura leaned over and kissed him on his cheek.
In the physical realm, the kiss sent a small shock to Naruto's system, which woke him up from his deep sleep a few moments later. As his vision came into focus, he slowly noticed that a light purple blur seemed to be moving away from his face. It turned out to be the young lady from before. "Hey there sleepy head, glad to see you're finally awake." she said with a smile upon her face, holding a bottle of nail polish in her hand. "That was some nasty fall you took… I don't know if you're some kind of adventure seeker or something, but you really need to be more careful with stuff like that.." She continued as she opened the bottle and started painting Naruto's left-handed finger nails. "By the way, I'm Saia, Saia Tochinomiya."
Naruto squinted at the young lady, trying to focus on her face. This was the first time he was seeing her face to face after all, so looking upon his savior's face was a bit overwhelming. However, because of the aches and pain that still plagued his body, he chose to simply grin and nod at her before pushing some of his stray hairs from his face. The backs of his fingers brushed against the fibers of the bandages laced across his forehead, twisting in face in confusion until it clicked.
"I think I know why these are here… I had that accident on the cliff... that man who was killed... and that other guy-.." he thought to himself before a rather strong migraine came along and stopped his train of thought dead. His head jerked a bit as his hand rose up to his right temple, attempting to sooth the pain. The few stray hairs he felt soon turned into a chunk of hair that dangled down onto his hand. It felt smooth, soft and very stringy as opposed to the usual rugged and nappy texture of it all. He noticed that his hair now had a fresh & tropic scent to it, relaxing him a bit and relieving some stress from the migraine. He then noticed that, as his hand came back down in front of his face, his finger nails had been clipped, filed and painted a glittery red.
"What happened to me?" Naruto asked weakly, struggling to adjust himself in the bed as he turned to look at Saia.
"What do you mean?" Saia asked in response, cocking her head a bit to the side in slight confusion.
"I mean.. why am I here and not floating down a river? And, what about the men that were on the cliff with me? One of them died.. and the other-" Naruto responded, only to be cut off by the same migraine from earlier which caused him to shoot his hand up to his temple like before.
"Oh my!" Saia began, jumping to comfort Naruto but stopped short when he held his hand up at her and shook his head. "… By the way you're acting right now, I think that fall did more to you than we thought." Saia finished as she was putting the cap back on the nail polish bottle.
"What are you talking about?" Naruto asked with a cocked eyebrow. "Who's we?"
"You seem surprised." The doctor, who had supervised the emergency work on Naruto before, walked in and said. "Hello, I'm Doctor Kabuto.." he said with a smile as he walked over to Naruto and Saia. "And how's our patient today?" He asked almost genuinely, placing a hand delicately on Naruto's shoulder.
"Like death.. or one step away from it. My head is killing me." Naruto said in response, laying back in the bed in defeat from struggling against the pain.
"Well," Doctor Kabuto started as he looked at the clipboard in the bin at the foot of Naruto's bed. "Considering what's been documented on this here sheet of paper, and based on how banged up you were when you first got here, I'd say that I'm not surprised that you're experiencing headaches or migraines."
Naruto, sitting in a slump, looked up at the doctor sulkingly. His mind raced with thoughts that lead down to a dead end or down some rabbit hole that used a migraine as the cushion. Overall, he would agree wholeheartedly if someone were to state that he were exhausted. "How long until I can get out of here? No disrespect, but hospitals really bum me out.."
The doctor put the clipboard back and smiled at both the girls. "That's why I was coming here. I was going to tell you that you can go home today. Just take things easy, you're in no condition to do a lot of moving around."
"You can say that again..." Naruto thought to himself.
"I'll leave you to get dressed then, just check in with the nurses before you leave, I've prescribed something for you to take to keep the aches and pains down." Doctor Kabuto said as he made his leave from the room, closing the door behind him.
Saia looked back over at Naruto with a soft smile. "Well now, there's some great news… If it's all the same to you, I think it'd be wrong of me to just leave you by yourself after everything that's happened to you." She began, her eyes darting around for a bit before landing squarely back on Naruto's. "Besides, I think it would better suit you to come back to my village, it's known for being tranquil and a great place for rehabilitation."
Naruto, still weak mentally and physically, nodded in agreement to Saia's demands.
"Good, then I'll go pick up your prescription." She said, smiling as she stood up and walked over to the door, stopping as soon as her hand touched the doorknob. "By the way, what's your name anyways?"
Normally, Naruto would smirk and boast about his name like everyone should know it. But this time, because of his weakness and change of physical appearance, he figured it useless to tell her his real name. Plus, who knows if being in this new female body would ruin the Naruto Uzumaki reputation. Nevertheless, he chose to come up with a new identity then and there.
"My name is Narita, Narita Murasaki."
At the reception desk, Saia shook hands with the head nurse and said goodbye on behalf of Narita and herself. Giving her the medicine to hold in her lap, Saia helped the weak Narita into a wheelchair and wheeled her out of the giant clinic. After walking a healthy distance from the hospital and out of the Hidden Leaf Village gates, Saia continued to push Narita along and strike up conversation to pass the time. "So, Narita, where do you live? Are you a native to the Hidden Leaf?"
"I, uh... I don't have a place. I'm a traveler, ya see?" Narita lied in response, not entirely sure what difference it would have made in telling the truth, but she figured it best to not complicate the plan already laid forth.
"Huh, that probably explains you being at the Village bluffs..." Saia thought aloud. "Um, if you don't mind me being nosy, what happened to you before? You know, you being in the hospital?"
"I don't remember... too much..." Narita said holding her head, bracing herself for another migraine should it come.
"Oh," Saia responded. "I'm sorry if that was too much to ask for."
"No, it's okay. I'm just tired. It's all so much to take in, being in the hospital, being a girl…" Narita said, mumbling to herself more towards the end.
Saia looked down at Narita questioningly but disregarded her last remarks as they finally arrived at their final destination. It wasn't anywhere that Narita ever remembered traveling to that didn't require going on a mission for. This village had a resounding solace to it, a quaint place with a loving atmosphere. There was oddness to the place, perhaps it was the absence of a fighting spirit in the many acres that made up the small village.
"What is this place?" Narita had asked Saia, looking up at her.
"Tsubaki Village. This is where I live." She replied.
