Hey there! Wow I haven't updated this in a looong time I actually really wanted to write this but just never found the time or inspiration. Well, I do now so I'm going to see if it comes out any good please leave reviews and let me know what you think they really help
Jade's pov
My head hurts, so does my back and stomach. Actually my whole body hurts and I'm really dizzy. I slowly came to trying to understand what was happening. "Where am I?" I whispered to myself. My voice was raspy and each syllable stung in my dry throat. I stretched my legs out in front of me and was surprised that I could move them around somewhat. From my surroundings and the sounds of an engine purring I concluded that I was in the back of some sort of vehicle. I tried to think back to what had happened before I blacked out. I wracked my brain for answers and suddenly it hit me. The black car, the people following me, and the punch in my stomach which would explain the pain there.
I tried my best to move and ended up slowly swiveling onto my side. The cramped space was obviously a trunk. Jeez you would think if you're going to kidnap someone you would get some kind of van. The scratchy rug-like interior of the trunk scraped against my arm as I reached down into my jacket pocket to look for my phone but, or course, it was gone and most likely smashed by my kidnappers. I sighed and rubbed my eyes trying to think of a way out of this. The key was to stay calm which I was most regrettably not, yet I still tried to convince myself otherwise.
I felt the car start to slow and then come to a complete stop. I hoped it was a stop light or something so I would have more time to coordinate my escape plan but alas it was not. The engine seized and my entire body stiffened. I heard faint voices in a dialect I couldn't understand. They sounded Russian or something like that. The doors slammed and I heard them walking on the pavement coming ever so closer to where I lay in the trunk. I heard the latch unlock and suddenly bright sunlight streamed in and burned my eyes.
Beck's pov
Jade's been gone for almost two days now and the police have no leads. When have the police ever helped in any situation. They don't seem to care as much as I do, I mean this Is Jade she is the love of my life but to them she is just another missing girl.
I rolled over on my crappy, lumpy mattress and grabbed fistfuls of my hair, pulling at the roots. Tears stung my eyes as realization set in. we may never find her. My Jade could be gone forever and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it! It was all my fault too! How was I supposed to live with this guilt of letting her walk home on a back road when it was so dark and so late?
I needed to get out, I just needed to walk and clear my head. I took a couple of deep breaths and grabbed my worn leather jacket from the edge of my bed before hurrying out of the cramped RV and out to the street.
Jade's pov
They grabbed my arms viciously and ripped me from my position in the trunk. I opened my mouth to scream for help but as soon as I did a dirty white rag was shoved in it and tied around my head. I wrestled in their arms and kicked my legs wildly to get them to get their filthy hands off of me but it was no use, they were twice my size in every way and dare I say even more menacing.
I hurried to take in the scenery as they shoved me forward. I didn't see much behind their tattooed bulky arms but from the glimpses I did catch I could tell I was far. I had never even seen this part of California before, or was it even California? I couldn't find a street sign or shop building that would tell me before I was pushed through an old wooden door and into a run down almost shack-like building.
I was coaxed up the white cracked stone steps. We passed door after door none of them looking like they were on their hinges straight. Gross I thought at the sight of a dead rodent swept aside next to a huge spider web. I took a deep breath as I was led into a room at the end of the hall way.
Confused and still a bit dazed I didn't register what I was seeing. I wanted to scream and cry and break down but I couldn't. I had to stay strong and be Jade West. The door slammed behind me and locked. I had just now noticed in the absence of their hands around my wrists that they were actually bound together by rope that scraped harshly at my skin. I groaned and fell to my knees not knowing what else to do. I felt like dying right then and right there.

The cool air was fantastic against my face. I felt so much better, but only for a second. Before I knew it my mind was spiraling back into its original freak out. I took a deep breath and kept walking forward. My mind raced with all the possibilities of where Jade could be I couldn't just wait for the police to find her! I had to find her.
I turned the corner and realized how fast my pace was. I had to stop just to calm myself down, and that's when I saw it. Something reflected the sun perfectly and made me squint for a second. I realized this must have been the exact way Jade walked home the night she was taken. I walked closer and realized exactly what it was.
I picked it up and pinched it between my fingers. The small gold tinted circle at the end of the chain matched the one dangling from my own necklace. This was Jade's. I knew I could find her; I had hope for the first time since I found out. I had my first clue.
Jade's pov
Suddenly I felt a shaky hand on my shoulder. I wiped around defensively ready to face my attacker but to my surprise it was just a girl. I looked at her, terror still lingering in my gaze, as she slowly reached behind my head to untie the soon as the filthy garment fell from my lips I went to scream and yet again my voice was hindered by a hand over my mouth. I looked up at the girl in confusion and anger; she seemed to be just as scared as I was. She said something in the language the other men were speaking before. I felt the overwhelming urge to bite her hand away but she might be valuable to me later on so I thought better of it.
Just as I thought of it the strange girl removed her hand from my mouth and held a finger up to her own dry, chapped lips telling me to 'shh'. I sighed and adjusted my position on the floor. "I don't know what you're saying" I hardly whispered. I doubted anyone in the room could hear me. She reached down and untied the rope on my wrists. I smiled at her the best I could muster to show her my thanks. After a moment of gathering myself I cleared my throat and stood up again.
I surveyed the room taking in all of the horrific sights. The room was packed with girls all about my age. Some looked like they were dying and others looked like they had just been out partying all night. I didn't understand what was happening and I wanted answers. "Does anyone speak English?" I asked hopefully as I looked around the room.
"I do" a voice from my right said. I looked to her and took in her appearance. She slowly stood and I surveyed the horror. She was so skinny she looked like a skeleton, and her skin was pale and thin. She had on a short jean skirt that she kept tugging on and a yellow cotton blouse with puffy sleeves. I absolutely hated her outfit choice but she seemed to be the only other English speaking one here. I started walking towards her and she met me half way, stepping around and over the other girls sitting all around the room. She had white converse sneakers on and short black hair that looked like it hadn't been washed in ages. When I was close enough to smell her I nearly wretched. She looked down in shame knowing she must not be very appealing.
"It's ok" I coaxed forgetting all of my Jade-like personality traits. "Can you tell me where we are? I don't understand what's going on." I said hoping no one heard the crack in my voice. I felt pathetic staring at all these withered women knowing that there was probably nothing I could do to escape the same fate.
"I'm eve" she started, her voice raspy and broken. You could tell by the look on her face that she had been to hell and back. "I'm sorry to tell you but there's no way out. No one makes it out of here" she stated almost stone faced like she had explained it a million times.
"Where is here?" I asked urgently "what's going on?!" Eve looked at her feet for a moment and then back up to me with a couple tears in her eyes. She looked like she was sorry for me, which was one of the things I hated most in this world, pity.
"This is…a cartel" she said a tear finally spilling over and running down her cheek.
"What? Like a drug cartel?" I asked, fear present in my voice. I felt completely in the dark still. I had a feeling I knew what she meant but I just couldn't believe my ears. It couldn't be…
Even looked me in the eyes but only to tell me the horrible truth I denied could be happening, "like, prostitution…"
