Chapter 2: Being homeless… finding a home
"Ughhh… what's this feeling… so soft… and bouncy" I muttered as I felt a light weight on my arms.
I turned around to find the ash colored hair of Akitsu on my left and on my right was Musubi.
That was not that made me basically jump and drown a girlish scream with a fist.
It was the fact that they where naked.
After they woke up I asked them to get dressed…
"Summergale-kun! Are you in?" a old raspy voice called.
I turned around.
"Ah! Mr. Landlord" I said surprised
"You! It's loud here these days, I gave you this room because you are an examinee, but…" he said "I recently been hearing a female voice"
Just then Musubi and Akitsu came into view.
"Ah… gomen, gomen" I said as I bowed.
However when the landlord saw the two beauties he went mad red.
"Who's that?" he asked
"Eh? Well… I…" said as I couldn't keep up.
"This is a single room! You know that! This is a contract violation! Leave within a week" he said as he marched out.
"H… how can he do that?" I said as I chuckled at my bad luck.
So now me, Akitsu and Musubi went out to town.
"Well… it's not that I don't have the money…. But… they ask for a co-signer…. Or a good credit… since I just came here I have none of those…" I said to myself as I left yet another rental place.
"Uhmm… this is going to be tough…" I said as we continued to walk.
The day turned to night and we sat on a bench… the rain came down hard on us.
I sighed
"Even the heavens are against me today" I said with a bitter-sweet smile.
"Coming here from another country with nothing but a dream… a wad of money, no place to go, no one to call a family and no place to return… can someone like me really be considered an "Ashikabi"?" I said as I fisted my hand in anger.
"Shinta-san" Musubi said looking at me.
Akitsu and Musubi drenched with the rain looked up into the sky.
"Seems like a pretty moon out tonight… I want to show it to you… I really like Shinta-sama!" Musubi said.
"And I as well… Master" Akitsu said.
"Akitsu… Musubi…" I said with a light heated blush on my face.
"If you wish… you can do anything! Through the thick clouds, to the moon… one day I'll show you the way to ascension!" Musubi said with her arms stretched out to the sky. "You are special in your own way, because… you are our special person" Musubi said as she leaned closer… her face had a look of wanting… so beautiful, so sexy… leaned closer to me, and then she softly planted her lips upon mine.
The kiss was soft… and wings of pure light spread out from her body…
"Fist of my contract… break the unhappiness of my Ashikabi" she said.
"Ah… A Norito" Akitsu said feeling a bit dejected.
"Let's go!" Musubi said
"Go you say… but wh-AAH!" I yelled as I was pulled.
I was in fricking mid-air!
Musubi was grabbing my hand… and I was close to the beautiful white moon…my eyes absorbed the beautiful sight in front of me as my two sekirei where side by side.
"Isn't the moon pretty?" Musubi asked.
"Musubi… how… are we getting down?" I asked as my brain finally started to work again.
"I didn't think of that" Musubi said
"Ah… I forgot of that too" Akitsu
And then gravity took hold
"WAAAAAAAAH!" I yelled as we plummeted to our certain deaths.
"Onii-chan!" I heard a soft voice saying in my head.
Then we landed on a tree…
"Position yourself upright… grab the forth branch in a 30 degree angle and release after .3 seconds" another voice in my head said.
I reacted like a professional athlete… doing as instructed, even if I was not aware of it.
I tumbled and hit a bush… scrapping my knee due to the impact and the roughness of my landing.
"Son of a…" I cursed as I managed to stand up.
Then both Musubi and Akitsu landed on top of me.
"A… Akitsu… Musubi… are you both alright?" I asked
"ahh…. Yes" Akitsu said.
"Yes…." Musubi said a bit pained.
I heard leaves shuffle and looked at the direction of the sound.
A beautiful lady with lavender hair… dressed in a traditional Japanese garb, she looked frail and beautiful… yet inside… my mind was shouting with all it's might.
Danger… Danger…
Not human.
Danger level 5… threat can be lethal at current state…
NBK 04-ta could end in either death or draw… probability of draw less than 10 percent.
Threat assessment minimal… non human shows no sign of fight
I never saw something ….. so beautiful / so dangerous.
She looked surprised at our sudden appearance.
"Excuse me…but who are you?" She asked with a sweet voice.
"Threat level lowered… subject appears non confrontational"
"I am sorry about that… I'll leave right aw- urg!" I groaned in pain
I had scrapped my knee badly with my bad landing… I held on that branch a bit more than what was needed it seems.
"Ara… that looks rather bad" the lady said observing the scrape.
"Shinta-sama… you are bleeding" Musubi said as Akitsu was fawning over me to see what she could do.
"I am fine… more importantly… here" I said as I gave her my jacket… looks like the top part of your outfit got ripped… cover yourself a bit.
I turned to Akitsu, thankfully the outfit I loaned her was more or less intact.
"if it's alright with you, would you like to come in and rest?" the lady asked.
"Miya?" a voice called out.
"It's noisy, is someone there?" a man ,the owner of the voice, asked.
He looked at us "Uh?... you are…" he said.
Moments later
The guy was banding my knee...
"There you go" he said
"Sorry for troubling you" I said feeling guilty.
"It's fine… don't worry about it, I only treated you because Miya asked me to" he said
"aren't you…" I said.
"Yes… we meet recently, we where supposed to go out for drinks next time we meet" he said.
"Ah… you are Kagari… no wonder you looked familiar…" I said
"yes, however… would you mind explaining why you where in the garden?" He asked
"eh… I can't tell him it was because Musubi's power… but wait… he has the same scent as Musubi and Akitsu… however I don't know his intentions… so I have to lie here… I don't like it but I think that is best for all" I thought.
"I was walking with them out looking for an apartment… when suddenly a violent gust of wind picked us up" I said mustering a straight face.
He rose an eyebrow at that… yet he looked serious.
"Hmm… good enough… I guess" he said with a sly look on his face.
"He knows something" I thought to myself.
"Shinta-sama, I borrowed a kimono" Musubi said as she stepped out.
She looked beautiful… like a flower in full bloom.
"It would have been nice if we had normal clothes but… I only have traditional ones, so…" Miya said.
"hey hey… it looks like two flowers have bloomed side by side" Kagari said
"Indeed" I said as I was taken back by the scene.
"ah… I am sorry… thank you very much for your hospitality… and I apologize for intruding in your home" I apologize earnestly.
"you were wet… I like to get involved in everything" Miya said.
"My husband did as well… those are his clothes" Miya said
"Your husband?" I said looking at Kagari
He waved his hand dismissing my thoughts "I'm not, so don't look at me like that" he said as he chuckled awkwardly at my claim.
"He passed away… her husband that is" he said.
"I apologize… I must have brought back some painful memories without realizing it" I said as I bowed.
"It's alright… it's and old story" Miya said "Ah, that's right, I didn't ask your names yet" she said as she clapped her hands cheerfully.
"Ah… I am Shinta Summergale nice to meet you" I said bowing to Miya
"I'm Musubi" Musubi said smiling.
"I'm Akitsu…" Akitsu introduced herself with her aloof tone.
I saw Kagari looking a bit disturbed being in her her presence.
He must know something…
"I'm Asama Miya" Miya introduced herself bowing back at me.
"Ah… I don't recognize these shoes, Miya is someone there?" a female voice asked.
I turned around and found a girl in a teddy and string panties standing there.
"Eh, guests?" she asked with a questioning look on her face
"Uzume…I told you not to come out in that state" Kagari said as he felt irritated at the girl.
"Eh? But I am definitely wearing my panties" she countered.
I covered my nose hoping no one wouldn't notice my nose starting to bleed.
"Excuse us, we'll be going now" I said.
Miya saw us to the door, he scent was like a sekirei… it had a definite scent like honey… but also something bitter…
Whatever happened to her… it was enough to make it seep deep into her very soul…
"Regret" I said in a low voice, low enough to be only heard by myself.
"I'll return this tomorrow… I apologize for the rude interruption and… thank you very much" I said
"Yes, then I will wait" she said with a tender smile.
"For some reason… even if they are not a family… they look so close… it had a warm feeling to it" I said
"Uhmm, they where also fun" Musubi said.
"You would say that wouldn't you" I said
"Akitsu? What do you think?" I asked
"Ah…. I liked them" she said
We walked past a sign posted in a wall… I stopped
They were renting… they didn't ask for a co-signer… and the rent was well within my budget.
I grabbed Akitsu and Musubi's hands and dashed away pulling them with me.
I stopped at the door where Miya was about to enter back to her home.
"Ara?" she said a bit taken back by my sudden return.
"Th… this… I ask… we were evicted from out last apartment, so… I don't have nowhere to go…" I said as I had a shortness of breath.
She was taken back by my nature… "Please, raise your head" she said as she was giggling at me.
"My husband… was someone who would never turn anyone away who where in need… maybe it's because it's his clothes… that makes you resemble him… my husband… welcome… To our Izumo house" She said as she greeted us.
"Shinta-sama!" Musubi said happily as she glomped me.
"ah… I want to do that too" Akitsu said putting slightly .
"Why don't you then?" Musubi asked like it was the simplest thing in the world
"Ah… you are right" she said as she went to glomp me.
"Miya" Kagari said "is that ok? Deciding so quickly?"
She looked at him as Shinta was being relished with hugs and he chuckled.
"if they were here by chance, we're connected it's the guidance of the gods… there is no reason to refuse anyone" Miya said.
"Yeah… if it's your decision I won't look for anything deeper" Kagari said.
"Let's talk business inside, here, this way" Miya said as she opened the doors of her home.
"yes… thank you" I said as I walked in and took off my shoes.
Kagari then left the room… he walked around and then saw out of the window…
"Rain that suddenly stopped and clouds that look thorn… it looks like someone did it on purpose to look at the moon…. I wonder who is responsible" he said with a chuckle.
After talking business we where shown to our rooms… I collapsed on my futon as all the adventures of the night came to me.
"It's ok lil' brother… onii-san will take care of you when you can't do it yourself… after all… we are one… even if we are two" the voice that told me the facts and calculated the risks and hazards said to me.
And I slept well as the voice was somehow familiar to me.
"We are the closer of strangers…. The furthers of twins… you and I share the same story, even if we came out different, but your happiness… I will protect it" The voice said.
His dreams then shifted…
"Please… help me, oniichan!"
I was walking trough a forest… it was dense, way dense.
A little girl was crying, I followed the sound of her cries…
"Are you stuck there little one? Don't cry… I'll help you get down" I said to the girl in the tree.
She turned her face, tears stained her otherwise cute face.
She was sobbing harder a bit startled and scared.
I sighed and smiled.
"It's alright… don't be scared" I said as I stretched up my arms towards her.
"Come here… I'll definitely catch you" I said as I smiled tenderly at the scared and lonely girl.
The girl looked at me timidly… then, she trusted me... and jumped.
I grabbed and twisted around to accommodate the new weight so I wouldn't fall down.
I hugged the girl "there, there" I said soothingly to the little girl
"Your name… will you tell it to me?" I asked gently
She was timid… blushing she said her name "Ku…Kusano" She said
"So… You are Ku-chan uh? it's a cute name" I said as I patted the girl, she smiled in delight as a cat would.
She blushed and enjoyed the feeling of my hand
"Tell me… why where you crying?" I asked
Ku begun to cry once more "Is it Ku's fault?" she said "Takami… bleed a lot, the oneesan with the big scythe… trying to stop Ku from being taken away… Takami said it wasn't the right time, but… Ku said she wanted to go outside, and was stubborn" She said as more tears came out
"Ku-chan" I said worried for the lil' girl's state of mind.
"Please… help me" she begged.
Her body then begun to dissolve… as if she was being spirited away.
I was shocked… I ran and ran towards her to catch her.
"Please… help me" she said once more, in a low… whisper like volume of voice.
"KU! KU-CHAN!" I yelled as I tried to grab her hand
Next day
I woke up nice and early… I went into the yard and stretched, my mind was still replaying that strange dream I had… it was odd… I could remember everything clearly… I could even remember her scent … honey with a touch of roses.
I decided to work out a bit, as I had a little par-time work lined up for me in a couple hours as a way to clear my mind.
"Tah!" I grunted as I moved around gracefully, kicking, sweeping and rolling on the air and land a hell drop kick on the ground. Then I rolled and did a high rise kick making the leaves pick up at the sheer power of the kick.
I sighed and stretched once more feeling better.
"Good" I said as I swiped the sweat off me.
On the veranda was Akitsu who woke up shortly after me and was looking at me practice.
"Ah… you are talented" Akitsu said.
"Ah… good morning Akitsu" I said as I walked towards her, I placed my hand on her head and gently passed over.
"Ah…. It fells nice" Akitsu said.
"Ara…. Shinta-san, awake at this hour?" Miya asked.
"Ah… landlady-san… good morning, would you mind if I help around the house until I have to go to work?" I asked
"Ara… how nice of you,,, if only certain people asked to help, this place might look better" She said with a smile.
For some reason both Uzume and Kagari felt a cold chill run trough their backs…
I rushed trough the floors with a wet rag cleaning it as I went … I moved fast…and got the whole outer floor cleaned in less than an hour.
I whipped the sweat off my forehead as Akitsu came with a jar of cold barley tea to cool myself down.
"Ah… thanks Akitsu" I said with a smile as I took the jar and poured the drink.
"Chaaa! Just what I needed… thanks" I said as I drank the soothingly cool liquid.
Akitsu blushed if only slightly.
"Shinta-san, since you helped me out, I decided to do something for you in return" Miya said as she handed me a bentou.
"oh! Miya-san, you didn't have to" I said a little embarrassed
"I know, I wanted too" Please have a safe trip she said as she waved me as Akitsu looked at me leave.
Shinta's workplace
I was wielding a pickax breaking the ground… after a couple hours we had a break and I sat down undoing the folding on my bentou… it looked not only nutritious but delicious as well.
I looked back as I felt someone watching me.
It was another guy, he looked kinda hungry, "want a bite?" I asked
"Ah… thanks, I am Seo, looking towards working with you" he said
"The name's Shinta… I am studying to enter college right now, but I need money for living arrangements" I said with a chuckle.
"Oh? An examinee are you? What college you are going to?" Seo asked
"I am thinking on either Toudai or Shin-Tokyo university" I said.
"Oh? I been a student there for 6 years, things didn't work out that well you know?" he said.
"Oh… is that so?" I said while chuckling a bit.
Then… a scent hit me… honey, mixed with ozone.
I narrowed my eyes… as two girls came over dressed in a maid outfit.
"SEO YOU PUNK!" the girl yelled as she delivered a hell drop on him.
"Ara?… Hikari!" Seo said as he chuckled.
"What 'ara'? you're taking other people's food! I told you to stop doing that!" Hikari yelled.
Then she turned to face me and bowed "I apologize for Seo's actions" she said as she bowed.
"No, please, don't bow, a pretty lady as yourself shouldn't do such a thing… besides we already know each other" I said
She then looked at me properly
"Ah! The Ashikabi of the conceited Sekirei!" she said.
"Yeah… I apologize for that… also… about that little scuffle" I said
She remembered how I countered her electric attack with a metal pole, how I used it as a electric rod and returned their attack at them, disabling them temporarily.
"So… Seo… are you going to introduce your Sekireis?" I said
"oh? How do you now they are mine?" Seo asked with a grin.
"They called you master, also because I have a good sixth sense on those things for some reason" I said.
Then I felt power raise… and the air change… helicopters flying around
"What's going on? is there some trouble?" I asked
"oh? Don't you know? According to rumors… in there lays the sekirei called "The Green Girl" Seo said
"Green… Girl?" I asked.
An image of a little girl crying… I shock my head.
"Please… help me"
"Shall we go?" I said.
"Oh? And what about your Sekirei?" Seo asked.
"Don't worry about me… I will be fine" I said as my eyes turned more feral and sharper.
Izumo house
They where having lunch… Musubi and Akitsu ate a lot… they had to use two rice cookers to make enough for all… Musubi then was looking left and right.
"the bathroom is on the hall to the left" Miya said.
"Ah! No, it's nothing like that…" Musubi said. "My heart beats for no reason when Shinta-sama goes out… this has never happened before"
"If you are worried, maybe you can give him a call" Miya said.
"Ah! A cell phone! I remember the number too" Musubi said
She used the phone and called.
Ring ring ring
They looked at each other and then followed the whimsical music from the device that was ringing.
Shinta had forgotten his cellphone.
"Ara… Shinta-san must have forgotten it" Miya said.
"Shall we go…. Return it to him?" Akitsu asked.
Musubi nodded "let's go and give it to him" Musubi said.
Miya smiled "yes… please do so"
"Be careful"
"OK!" Musubi said.
Then as she was walking away, she collided with Kagari.
Musubi's skirt was on her head; her derrière was close to Kagari's face
"You ok?" he asked as Musubi wiggled her butt a bit.
"yeessss…" Kagari said feeling pitiful.
"Ara ara…. Just as she was leaving" Miya said.
"Sorry I wasn't paying attention" Kagari said with a light blush
"Are you really ok?" Musubi asked
"uh… yes" Kagari replied, however Musubi got closer to him "Wh… what is it?"
"Are you really? You face doesn't look good" she said, then she pressed her forehead against his… "You don't seem to have a fever" she said
"Thanks" Kagari said "I'm just a little tired"
"Ok then… I'll be back" Musubi said as Akitsu followed her lead.
Kagari put a cigarette on his mouth "if there where more people like her… even my flaws would start revealing themselves"
With Shinta
"Damn… they have the front gate locked tight… and many armed man" Seo said
Shinta was no longer himself… he looked much more dangerous… more focused.
"Let me clear the way" he said
He disappeared…. And appeared in front of the soldiers.
"Get out of my way" he said in a calm but cold voice.
It was gruffer… colder, and a bit cynical than his normal voice.
"Jin" Shinta said as he vanished and appeared in front of a soldier.
"Jinwongak" he said as he stomped into the ground breaking it making the soldiers loose balance and sinking a few of the tanks underground.
Some soldiers where starting to stand up.
"Hwan" Shinta said as he moved fast… so fast in fact that it looked like he was all over the place.
"Soul-crushing strike!" Shinta yelled as punched the gate into itself… breaking it down.
"Are you guys coming or what?" Shinta asked
"wow… that Ashikabi is strong…" Hibiki said.
"Unlike our useless Ashikabi" Hikari said as she cried tears of shame.
Shinta then returned to normal
"Expand your senses…" A voice said
I calmed down… and took a deep breathe
"Onii-san" a voice called out to me "Help me"
A little girl pointing towards the unknown… and then vanishing.
"you… are in there?" I asked
She nodded with a smile
"Onii-san will come for you… believe in me" I said as she smiled and vanished.
I jumped using Seo's face as a footstool… and took to the trees.
"Sorry… but that child is calling out for me… I rather hurry and help here… she was crying and afraid… I'll treat you to something good as an apology" I said as I rushed into the growing forest.
Outside the park
"Incredible… all this destruction…." A man dressed in black with a face mask.
"Ara… Homura, it's been a long time" A voice said.
"You came… you pests" Homura said "Number 43 Yomi" Homura said
Yomi was a girl carrying a rather large scythe… "What do you mean 'pest'? hohohoho You're too serious" Yomi said, beside her was another girl wearing black and yellow dress and long black stockings.
"Eh? So this is the so called 'lion of protection'? how boring…. Let's kick his ass" the girl said.
"I'm only here to pick up something in place of my Ashikabi… 'the green girl' whose owner is the one who gets it first" Yomi said.
"Mitsuha… I leave him to you" Yomi said as she rushed by
She then unleashes a whip and snares Homura.
"You are not going anywhere." She said with a smirk.
"Ah! It's Kagari!" a voice called making Homura cringe.
He looked back and it was Musubi
"Ah… sorry, I thought you where someone else, your back was really similar" Musbi said as she apologized. "Kagari doesn't wear a mask so… do you have a cold? Please take care of yourself… ah… by the way… is this the botanical garden?" Musubi asked.
"Ah… yes" Homura answered.
"thank!" Musubi said as she left, however Akitsu stayed and looked at him.
"You had a… cold…?" Akitsu asked
"That's not it!" Homura said.
"I see… please do take care… of yourself" Akitsu said as she threw an ice dagger and allowed Homura to get out.
"Uh…. Thanks" Homura said.
"HEY! DON"T GET IN BETWEEN ME AND MY PREY!" Mitsuha yelled pissed off.
"Ah…. I forgot" Akitsu said.
"Really?" Homura said.
However Akitsu jumped out following Musubi.
"Since we are now here… how about I educate you in civility young lady" Homura said as a flame appeared on his finger.
With Shinta
"Damn it… I can feel something… something dark" Shinta said.
"Enemy located… secondary target deemed important known as Green Girl currently under assault… recommend to use foot techniques, however it might damage you" a voice said.
"I don't care" I said as I pulled my inner power into my ankle and pushed myself even further and faster.
With the 'Green Girl'
"Onii-chan?" the little girl said as she peeked out of the tangled vines.
"You where hiding in a place like this? I was looking for you" a female's voice said. It was Yomi "now… let's return to our master's side" she said with a cruel smile on her face.
With Shinta
"HIIIAH!" the little green girl yelled
I pushed myself further… I was close… I could smell the scent of honey and roses.
Then I saw Yomi pulling the small girl… Kuu-chan.
"Really hurry up and follow me" Yomi said
"No… No I don't wanna!" Kuu cried over and over.
"I went out of my way… to meet up with you" she said in an angry tone, she stepped back as she took hold of her scythe "it looks like I have to punish this bad child" she said.
"and you think I will let you do that?" a voice said
"What?" she said in surprise as I appeared under her and grabbed her scythe, I jumped back taking her with me and then kicked her chest to push her away.
"Ugh!" Yomi yelled in pain as she was thrown into the clearing.
Kuu-chan looked at me, however I had a smile on my face.
"You are alright?..." I sighed in relief "I made it… I made it on time" I said as I had tears on my eyes, Kuu-chan looked at me worried for me "Don't worry Kuu-chan, Onii-chan will protect you, it's nice to finally meet you, it seems… you been contacting me on my dreams"
"Onii-chan…" she said as she got closer… however she passed out due to the stress and fright she been having.
"rest here… I will make the mean lady go away" I said.
"Uhmm" she said as she covered herself with trees and leaves.
"You… the stupid guy over there! Get away from that child!" Yomi said.
"Stupid?" I said narrowing my eyes.
"That's a sekirei my master had set his eyes on… someone like you… can't touch it!" she yelled as she attacked me with her scythe.
I grabbed the scythes blade with my bare hands… I smirked as she tried to pull it but was unable to do so "You think too highly of yourself little birdie… I will show you exactly what…you are dealing with" said a voice unlike my own, this one was cold… calculating.
Deadly.
Not me/ Not mine.
Rushing in, regardless of the danger… Shinta went to intercept the blade.
"Pathetic… YOU ARE PATHETIC!" Shinta yelled as he dodged her attacks as if he walking trough the park.
"DIE DIE DIE DIE!" she yelled as she continued to swing her scythe, more erratically, more frantically.
Then Shinta got close to her, right on her face.
"hey birdie… have you ever felt the feeling of death… you know, the feeling of hopelessness and the inability to fight it?" Shinta said.
She couldn't breathe… it was as if he was killing her… with only his mere presence…
A dark presence behind him… no, rather he was dark… hid body oozing the aura of death.
His mere presence was a sign of inevitability that brought about his being.
His eyes no longer held the warmth they had a few minutes ago.
His eyes where as cold as ice… freezing and killing things… seeing how he could kill them, contemplating the fragility of life… and laughing at it.
She shivered… even if her will told her to attack; and her mind told her he was only human… her instincts told her… RUN AWAY!
Shinta slowly walked up to her as she had jumped back… she tripped over as she back-pedaled to make distance.
"Where do you think you are going lil' birdie" a voice said behind her.
She blinked… she saw her opponent in front… but now… he was gone.
"You really think I will let you go for trying to hurt that lil' girl? My little brother has a pure heart… unlike me… who is only good at destroying things… now then… I shall teach you why you shouldn't have done what you where planning to do with the little girl" Shinta said
She had enough "GET AWAY!" she yelled in fright as she swung her scythe…
A current of wind came out and slashed Shinta's arms and part of his check.
Blood flew in the air.
"Interesting, this might make things fun" Shinta said with a twisted smile
She continued to swing her scythe; this person… was beyond dangerous.
"I see so that is how that is done" Shinta said as he got up… his body being now a bloody mess from receiving the invisible attacks.
Shinta then jumped and groaned a bit and cracked his neck.
"Is time I stopped playing around… little bird… I shall rip your wings so you shall never fly again" Shinta sad as a cruel smirk appeared on his face.
He vanished
"Kai loi!" He yelled as he delivered an earth-shattering knee blow to Yomi's head.
She went back, recoiling and unable to get her bearings due to the sheer power of the attack, her eyes swam violently inside her orbits, Shinta however was not done… he grabbed her arms and pulled her back in.
"Yamasuki!" he yelled as he delivered a double blow, one to her face and one to her stomach simultaneously
Her sight was going… she could only see blurs.
And a silhouette that was akin to a god of death.
"My name is subject NBK 4… now with that said… oyasumi" Shinta said as he delivered the final blow.
One swift move,a neck shattering blow to the neck… and she fell down… her Sekirei mark vanishing.
"M… Master" she said in a pitiful voice, whether it was asking for forgiveness or calling for help, it mattered not… and then she was gone.
He looked at himself and sighed "I really should stop playing around… I ruined one of my favorite shirts" he said as he took it off and whipped the blood off his face.
He walked up to the little blond girl and made his way to her and scooped her up.
She then blinked as she woke up…. My face still had some of my blood on it.
"Ah… you are ok… that is good" I said with a smile in my face.
She then hugged me as she saw her hero all bloodied.
"Don't worry… I am here… nothing else will harm you" I reassured
"SHIIIINTA-SAAAMA!" a voice called out as she landed a few feet in front of me.
"Ah! Musubi… Akitsu? You are here? Why?" I asked a bit confused.
"Ah! Shinta-sama… you are hurt!" she said as she was looking frantically for the one who did that. Akitsu formed many ice daggers and looked around…
There was a single body that looked like it went trough tenderizing machine…
"Ah… no one here" Akitsu said as she undid her ice daggers
"ah… that is?" Musubi said.
"Ah… this girl…is a sekirei too… I came here because she was calling to me.
Then a sound akin to a tiger growling went off.
"Onii…chan… I'm… hungry" Ku said whimpering.
I snorted…. Then I chuckled at this… such a light hearted end to such a day.
"Ah… I wonder what happened to those 3" Akitsu said.
"Those 3?" I said.
"Ah… nothing" Akitsu said.
"Akitsu… think you can help me out… my body is a bit sore" I said as I stumbled a bit, Akitsu held me up.
"Yes… as you command master" she said.
"Shinta… call me Shinta… I hate formalities when used on me" I said with a smirk.
"Yes… mas… Shinta" she said correcting herself.
Musubi and Akitsu then made their way out of the jungle and saw a man dressed in black with a mask… I was too tired to realize the scent off him was familiar… however I saw the two girls who where on the floor ass up… all tired and a car came over "get in" a young voice said as they scampered and left the place.

"Ara… Kagari" Miya said "Welcome back"
"Sorry, Miya… but… can you prepare another serving for another person?" Kagari said.
"Eh? That's fine… is someone visiting?" She asked.
He smiled "Probably there will be an additional person here"
"Eh?" she looked a bit confused.
Moments later.
"We… where back" I said tired… my body still a bit sore, Ku was on my back all tired and tucked out.
Miya gasped and turned… then left for a minute…
Then she came back with a blade.
"DANGER ASSESMENT! SUBJECT MIYA'S RELEASING KILLING INTENT! BLADE IS ABOUT 1 METER LONG… EVASIVE MANUEVERS DETERMINED… WALLS WILL HAVE ENOUGH STRENGTH TO ABSORB SHOCK OF A JUMP TO BOUNCE AND INCAPACITATE… UNTIL SHE MAKES A MOVE BEST APPROACH IS TO WAIT FOR HER TO MAKE THE FIRST MOVE" the voice in my head yelled frantically.
My body tensed… my eyes sharpened.
"Did you know kidnapping results in one of the harshest of punishments?" Miya said as the pointed the blade at me.
My body moved on its own… I moved left… bobbed under her slash, I stepped back when she swung her sword down on me.
"MIYA-SAN! WHAT THE HELL!" I said.
She slashes towards my midsection, I bobbed under it and batted it away by hitting the back of the blade with the back of my hand.
She looked surprised, but did not show it.
And then…
*GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWL!*
"Nooo… Oniichan…don't torture me…" she said
"Ku-chan" I said as I looked back… I patted her head gently.
"Uh, it seems this child is very hungry… sorry but is there anything to eat?" I asked.
Miya got over her shock of me deflecting her semi-serious attack… and helped make some food for us all.
"Thank you for the bentou once more" I said
"I am sorry for that… is this girl your relative?" Miya asked.
"Ahahaha… something like that" I said, not really lying, but not telling the truth either.
Ku was eating like there was no tomorrow, I looked at the little girl eating like a tiger.
"My relatives in America asked me to take care of her" I said chuckling.
"Then you should have told me sooner, I could have made a mistake" she said
"Then how about next time you let me talk before trying to loop my head off?" I said.
Then Kagari appeared "Miya… I'm going out so you don't have to make anything for me" he said.
"Oh? A necktie? Is something going on?" Miya asked.
"A bunch of people are coming tonight, so I thought I'd put more appeal into my outfit." Kagari said
As they where talking little Ku collapsed into the table… she was tired. It was to be expected considering the day she had.
"Miya-san, I apologize but I am going to take her to my room ok?" I said with a worried face.
"Ara is alright with me, just don't do anything that will make me regret doing nothing to you" she said as she caressed her sword.
I gulped.
I put her on my futon and I went out and sat there with a small covering to protect me from the cold.
I looked up… it was a beautiful night… I fell asleep out there.
Next morning
Ku walked the halls of the home of Izumo, she was looking for something, she found Miya on the kitchen, and then she found him… the bloody hero who saved her.
He had a silly expression on his face watching the birds in the sky and the petals falls.
"Ah… Ku-chan, good morning… come over here, you can sit down" I said.
She sat down looking at me.
"Is a beautiful day, isn't it?" I said looking up.
"ACHOO!" she sneezed, I smiled and put my cover on her
She blushed
"That day… when I meet you… no, before that… Musubi, Akitsu and me fell on a tree… it stopped our descend, it seemed like the tree was there to specifically save us, I wonder… was it you?"
She blushed a bit looking down "a voice… oniichan's… I've heard it… asking for help… So Ku entrusted herself, she's a good girl, so… because Ku was crying, Ku let her oniichan know" she said
"I see… Ku is a good girl… you saved me and my sekirei, and for that I am thankful" I said with a smile as I gently patted her head, she smiled as she liked the warmth of my hand.
She then pulled herself out of the covers, she leaned close to me, her face next to mine.
"Uhm… you know…" she said shyly "… Ku's oniichan… please, become my Ashikabi" she said as she planted a tender and chaste kiss on my lips.
Wings made of green organic material,
I was taken back… it was nice, to feel loved.
Kuu's power made all of the flowers bloom and grow exponentially… her power was a beautiful thing… to make things grow.
She even made the Sakura tree bloom weeks before its time; the garden was showered in pale pink petals.
And so Kuu joins Shinta's Party.
