"Hey…"
I jumped at the sudden voice. I turned to my right and realized the voice came from the most popular guy in school, Loke Celestial. I instantly shrunk away from his gaze. He saw how frightened I was and tried to comfort me.
"Hey now, its ok, I don't bite." He explained with that flirtatious grin on his face. He reached out a hand to me and I began to reach to take it when the door to the roof slammed open revealing a pink haired boy who was out of breath. "Luce," he said regaining his breathing. 'Don't go running off like that I had to ask like twenty people if they had seen you until finally this blue haired dude, named gray said he saw you run up here, something about him rubs me the wrong way…" Natsu's sentence when he saw Loke standing next to my crouched figure. Suddenly, Natsu's whole demeanor changed. He walked over to me and Loke and turned to Loke directly into Loke's eyes. "I'm Natsu and I can take care of Luce, which means you don't need to be here anymore lion boy." Natsu said with a deadly glare pinned on Loke. Of course Loke's pride was bigger than that and he instantly put up the defense. "The names Loke and I don't know if I trust you around her. She needs a prince not whatever you are." Natsu's anger instantly flared, but thinking on my feet I pulled Natsu's hand so a fight wouldn't break out. Both boys looked at me as I meekly said, "um…I'm fine now so y'all don't need to fight, plus we are going to be late to class if we don't hurry." The three of us then walked down the stairs with the two guys glaring at each other every few seconds.
Natsu took my hand as we exited the stairway, and proceeded to walk out of the school building to the parking lot. When we stopped in front of a red truck with black pin striping down the sides, I turned to Natsu and confronted him. "What the hell do you think you're doing, I've known you for barely three hours and your acting like I'm your girlfriend or something, and that display with Loke… he was just trying to be friendly and you make it seem like he's your worst enemy." After my outburst he opens the passenger door to the truck and tells me to get in. I'm not sure why but I did, I got in the truck! Something in my gut told me to trust him, even if this would ruin my perfect attendance.
I was startled out of my thoughts by his voice. "You know I practically am your boyfriend, judging by how we are engaged and everything Miss. Heartfilia."
"…WHAT!"
